The best restaurants serving Indian food in Tunbridge Wells South East

What can I say this place is fantastic! The staff were really welcoming and the food was stunning. Very reasonable for the price and a single portion enough for two! I will definitely be back!

Food is top-notch. Hoppers are awesome. Cuttlefish & chicken curry were very flavorful. Loved the dosa, too. Service was very good & attentive. We will be back. .

What a hidden gem! We were local to the area and came across this restaurant and I’m so glad we did. The food was lovely and the staff are friendly too!

We had a takeaway tonite 02/01/2025 and was not good at all a month ago we had a great one but last 2 times not been great. I dunno if chef changed but I don’t think I will be coming back in a rush which is a shame as used to be our favourite in Tunbridge wells

We had a fabulous evening, 24 of us enjoyed the superb food, efficient, friendly service and excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

First time i tried takeway from shahen and this is the best curry I’ve ever had. Everything has a taste and seasoning and herbs. The pilau rice was very nice flavour . Just exactly what you hope it to be which is rare these days. ❤️

Nice food, but hardly anybody there , and it was a Friday evening

Ideal for a family celebration. Plenty of seating and spaced out so it doesn’t feel confined. Food EXCELLENT, And price on a par with other high quality venues. Parking a bit tight if busy, but not horrendous. Service good that night, but not exceptional as some orders missed/slow. That said, It didn’t affect us adversely but may be something that needs that little tweak to earn 5 stars across the board. Ultimately would I go again, definitely. That says it all.

Staying in an Airbnb 5 minutes away so I popped in last night to grab some food to eat back at the cabin. Friendly staff. My home town is full of Indians and they are all very disappointing. Tried this place on the off chance and we were very happy. Well cooked, incredibly well priced. If you’re in the area - stop by!

Excellent grill and dhansak sauce was top notch. Excellent meal as always!!!!!

Late back home one night and couldn't be bothered so ordered a curry. I normally will go to the same place, but decided I would try somewhere new. The food was ok. Not amazing, just ok. The flavours could have been ramped up a bit more( in fact a lot more )and the amount of meat was definitely lacking. The lemon rice was pretty bland and the popadoms certainly didn't have the same flavour or crunch( maybe it was cooked in a different oil).It did turn up quicker than was predicted though. And it was hot. All in all slightly disappointing.

UPDATE: This is not Royal Spice anymore, we ordered take away from this place now called Spice Fusion and has nothing to do with Royal Spice standards, unfortunately we are not ordering from this place anymore. Absolutely delicious food! The chicken tikka balti is phenomenal with lots of fresh coriander. This is my go to in Tunbridge Wells when I want a curry.

Just got a takeaway and honestly the chicken was inedible. I think cooked & refrozen (and then cooked again). Whatever the cooking process, it’s not good. Weird freezer-burn taste and tough. I’ve been there once before & it was the same. Tried tonight as my couldn’t get to my usual takeaway as the A21 is closed. Was persuaded by some recent good reviews - curry houses have bad nights etc. Food is quite 90’s - sweet packet-derived sauces etc. Don’t mind that too much as takeaway is more about a night off. But the chicken. Guys come on - just cook it fresh. People have taste buds and I think value their health. given we’re in lockdown you can’t rely on a hoard of smashed idiots (me in non-lockdown) falling in to your curry house. Should be one star really. Staff are really nice so feel bad about putting this here. However, I’ll be the first to come back if you start cooking nice meals. You are after all the only curry house in cranbrook. However keep producing crap like I’ve just eaten and you’ll go bust.
