It was the first time I ordered a takeaway from here and the curry was really lovely, also the rest of the food I ordered was lovely to. It's the best curry I've had. I will regularly order from this Indian from now on😊

First time here as a family and loved it. Our waiter Mohammed was really sweet to the children and asked solicitously what they wanted and treated them so kindly (when in some restaurants kids are ignored). Food was delicious, one of the best Indian restaurants in Tunbridge Wells, good value for money too. Their Dhansak tasted very authentic and had a nice kick. Quite a small restaurant hence not 5 stars for atmosphere, but definitely a spot worth visiting.

I come from Asia originally, and currently living in Canada. I am working with Indian boys every day. I have been traveling through over 20 countries in the world. PLEASE TRUST WHAT I SAY!!! I am telling you this is The best Indian food you can find in England! No doubt.

Came here last night. Food was superb, service was impeccable. This is now added to my list of favourites. Can't wait to come back. Goan Fish Curry is the best I've ever had, and the salmon kebabs were outstanding.

Spice level was good today! Cheese naan is off the chains!

The food is great but they make up times when it’s going to be ready. If you ring to check it’s available they just flippantly say 10 minutes without checking so when you go in you wait for another 30. 80 minutes for a take away, no apology. I don’t mind waiting for food if you have an approximate time.

Brother ordered online and we collected it en route. Arrived around 18:10 for 18:15 pick-up (as given in confirmation). Food appeared to come out twice: as partner returned from toilet, waiter had a bag he was carrying towards counter before going back to the kitchen with it, then came out with the same bag a couple of minutes later to give to us. Returned to car, drive to brother's. Food plated up upon arrival - approx 10 mins since we'd been handed the bag. Food was practically cold which was both disappointing and unexpected in such a short time. Hadn't expected it to be piping hot yet still warm to hot at least. Order was correct. Received 2 poppadoms (between 4 of us), 2 small pots of mango chutney and chopped onion - complimentary. Food tasted fine, just disappointing it was not warmer.

The 2/5 is entirely for the quick delivery and the lamb tikka meat, which was pleasantly tasty. The biryani it was in, the chicken balti, the Bombay potato, the cauliflower bhaji were all utterly dull. They all tasted like frozen veg, boiled, with the same bland yellow sauce poured over all of them. Very disappointing, won’t be returning.

Ordered at 7pm, wrong food arrived at least an hour later. Our order finally arrived 1 hour 35 mins after we ordered.

Always come to Junahki for Indian food as the best in Tunbridge Wells. Great food choices and delicious dishes. They have a good menu with dietary symbols and staff can always reccomend a dish. The place is quite small so would suggest booking a table to dine in. The tables have money from around the world in the table tops and lots of interesting Indian art and features on the walls. Recently came here on a busy night and had some issues which were resolved quickly while dining in by the Manager who was very apologetic. Look forward to returning soon.

Super disappointed with the delivery option, having eaten in the restaurant before and really enjoyed it. The delivery took an hour and forty five minutes (we were told an hour) and all of the food was warm at best. Portions were small and it was much more expensive than a comparable meal from other local takeaways.

Excellent food and it's clearly a popular restaurant as it's often very busy. Unfortunately, I was served a warm coke bottle alongside a glass with ice. Coke should be refrigerated, and it even says "serve chilled" on the bottle. Pouring warm coke over ice is not the same. It's frustrating because it's such a basic thing to get wrong, and despite not drinking the coke, it remained on my bill.

Very good food, waiters efficient and food portions were generous but overly large. Not cheap but competitively priced.

The worst curry I've ever had. Usually very good, but this order was terrible. It only took 10 mins to arrive so was clearly preprepared. The flavour was completely wrong. It tasted like spicy tomato ketchup mixed with water, and very little else.

Very average Indian - a year of trying Indians in T Wells and the best is still the one we left behind in Uckfield called Amiras. Junhaki vegy starter bland, main meals also a little Bland with some Tough chicken. Not very sophisticated flavourings and a little watery on some of the dishes.

One of my fave Indians never have a bad meal, highly recommend,nice looking place too, my fave rite Indian for its lamb so soft

One of the best Indian restaurants in Tunbridge Wells, food is always great and flavourful, atmosphere inside is always great. Love it each time we go or have a takeaway from there.

Food was good, but in my opinion it was a bit too spicy in comparison to what it is normally.

There is always a long queue outside Dishoom in Kings Cross. At Junahki, the food is markedly better, the service quicker and the final bill is a third of the cost. Junahki even sell Moet at £45 a bottle. Go figure!

I have been to the best current restaurants in Bradford, Coventry, Leicester and London. This is right up there - and immensely good value. Don’t listen to the nay-sayers. It doesn’t do food in the subtle Southern Indian style (which many of us make at home anyway) but it’s a huge step up from the conventional Northern Indian/Bangladeshi fare most British ‘Indian’ outlets offer.

Incredible food worth the money

This place is fab and the food always amazing. Slight order issue today - we received a peshwari instead of a Keema nan. They always have 3 onion bhajis in their order - but only 2 now. I know times are hard, but come on. Very expensive for 2 bhajis. Even with that I'd recommend cos it all tastes delicious.

Awful take away , Junaki used to be the nicest curry house in Tunbridge Wells, now possibly the worst ! Chewy dry chicken that had to be thrown away , flavourless sauces including rice and breads. But the real shocker was the watered down mango chutney ! Literally water thin , couldn’t even spoon as had been watered down so much. Won’t be ordering again

Absolutely fantastic food - very good vegan and vegetarian range which tasted fabulous. They even advised vegan alternatives to vegetarian choices once a vegan option had been made. Highly recommended

Searched for an Indian restaurant to break a journey between London and Hastings, and really pleased that Junahki was the one we found. The food was delicious and they offered the best selection of vegetarian options I’ve seen. It was also very welcoming and friendly - great service and beautifully decorated. Even though I live around an hour away, I’ll certainly come to Tunbridge Wells to eat at Junahki again and will recommend it to friends and family. A lovely evening - thank you!

First time I have eaten from junahki food was fresh and very nice . Very polite on the phone and deliver was quick . Will use again and recommend to my friends .

Got a take away for 4. Really mean portions- less than half full containers for the main course. Very poor value for money and very disappointing.

Food was brilliant. Food took a while to come out but there was 13 of us though. They alway made sure we had drinks so no real complaints from anyone. Been a few times and will definitely come back again

Lovely restaurant with great service! Flavoursome food with almost too much choice on the menu!

This is such a great curry house and the food is delicious. It’s just such a shame that they are so understaffed that dinner takes 2. Hours to be served. The waiters could work no harder, neither one presumes could the chefs - a few of our dishes weee cold too - but I so hope that they will find appropriate staff to get it back to its former self.

Absolutely love this place, fantastic food!

Dry, bland and overcooked! Never have I eaten such tasteless food that was so dry I believe the Tandoori sizzler food is actually cooked in advance, reheated and thrown on a hot plate for effect. There was no notion of chargrilled flavour, no spices, no seasoning and certainly no evidence of the tanddori mix grill or tandoori lamb ever going anywhere near some marinade. The only dish that was edible on our order was the Lamb Biriyani, but even that had the same chunks of precooked lamb thrown in. Overall a truly disappointing dinner Not an Indian restaurant at all, but a Bengali run reheat and eat venue. Sorry, won't be back and do not recommend this place.

Really excellent curry house. Very welcoming staff with a super and different menu. So many differnt dishes it will take you a while to eat your way through them and you will want to.

This was our First time here - we were greeted with a smile. All of the food we had was excellent and the service was very good. The Chicken Tikka Balti was one of the best I have had. An excellent experience and we will be back!!!

Always love this place. Been going here since they opened and whenever I can afford too. Birthdays Xmas graduation any excuse and the family always choose this place. Great food, service and atmosphere. Here's to hoping that this continues for years to come. Thanks for the memories.

Ordered on Uber eats early. Kept me waiting until past the delivery time and cancelled it. NEVER use this place. A bunch of wasters, terrible service

My local Indian restaurant and one of the must try places in Tunbridge Wells... I always like the vegetarian dishes at this establishment which includes the Tarka Dal - an Indian dish of lentils cooked with tarka (heated oil or ghee in which spices and onion, etc. are well-stirred and browned), Saag Paneer - Spinach cooked with Paneer (a non-aged, non-melting soft cheese made by curdling cow or buffalo milk with a fruit- or vegetable-derived acid, such as lemon juice. Its curd before pressing is called chhena), and Biryani - a mixed rice dish made with Indian spices, rice, veg and/or meat all cooked on a low heat to let all those flavours come together!... Delicious and filling!!!...

Food was an hour late. Everything stone cold on arrival. Nan bread soggy. Poppadoms limp and chewy. No apology from restaurant.

Rude restaurant staff after we rang about missing order items and they refused to send out the missing items so one of us didn’t get a meal - actually the worst service

We are slowly working our way through your extensive menu and have never been disappointed - the food is always delicious and with so many different flavours and spices involved it is never boring.

By far the best authentic Indian meal we had. The freshness, spices and quality of the lamb (& chicken) were very good, with no fatty chewy lumps you normally get in some restaurants. The samosas were amazing with the accompanying salad being more than a sad looking lettuce leaf plonked on your plate; the best tasty salad to date. Service, quality, cleanliness and price was excellent. I wish I found this place 2 years ago when it first opened!

Food excellent but late order meant it all needed re-heating. On booking was a 30-45 minute delivery time, unfortunately it came an hour and 10 mins after ordering.

Okay, we do like Junahkis a lot! We eat there about 10 times a years. We both enjoyed the food and the wine. The service was excellent. We arrived at six and there were no other diners but the tables were soon filling up and the downstairs area was being utilised too. We'll be back soon!

The lamb shank was really tasty, and HUGE, but the paneer tikka makhani was really bland and didn't seem to have been marinated or cooked in the tandoor

Junahki is one of our favourite restaurants in Tunbridge Wells. The dishes are delicious and the way they cook meat is so tender. They maintain the taste and the presentation well every time we visit them. Thanks for yummy dishes! Ps. They offer Halal options, just ask prior to your ordering.

Not greasy like a lot, tasted fresh

both main courses were wrong. one being inedible due to serious food allergies, the other being poor quality. rice was rubbery. so a 50 pound meal was essentially some poppodoms and naan bread.

But I don’t begrudge the delay. It was a Saturday night. I’m sure they were busy. My only suggestion is for more realistic time estimations in the App or perhaps order updates so that a late delivery doesn’t make the customer wonder whether the order has gone awry.

Terrible service and bland, tepid food. Waited over 1hr 15 mins for warm food to arrive. Sent it back twice. The manager then arrived at our table and began arguing with me telling me it was hot. I invited him to try it. Such a shame as I’ve been to this restaurant many times before, but sadly after tonight’s stressful experience and very underwhelming food we won’t ever return.

We’d waited so long, and been told by just eat via email that the order was cancelled. At the end of a long, exhausting day on site I then made a very late dinner for my wife and me. Just as I was about to go to bed a knock on the door and the delivery arrived. Needless to say it was not enjoyed, though I think it unfair to give the restaurant a poor rating for their food, since it was the delivery delay which was at fault.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Unfortunately on this occasion they forgot to include the onion bhajis with the order. Luckily we live locally but no offer of a beer for a goodwill gesture for our trouble as we had to make a second trip back to the restaurant. Unbelievable! Service was terrible and the food was cold. Very disappointing.

Great service and good food at reasonble prices, curry had a great flavour but was not as hot (chilli) as the menu noted.

Asked for no onions and received more onions than would be normal. Pretty flavourless food. Disappointing as use Junahki because they have been great in the past. What has happened?

A very rare 'thumbs-down' on this occasion. Chicken shashlik was dry and tasteless, and the veg weren't cooked. Pilau rice was dull, and not up to usual standards. Used this place for years, everyone's allowed an off day!

I think one very good tasty Curry will order again 😉

Their food is amazing, best in TW. Unfortunately on this order, there was an incorrect dish sent -these things happen. However, we rang the restaurant directly and they corrected it very promptly. Very impressed.

So pleased Junakhi are delivering now! Really varied menu and is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
