What can I say this place is fantastic! The staff were really welcoming and the food was stunning. Very reasonable for the price and a single portion enough for two! I will definitely be back!

Wow. Friendly welcoming service. Absolutely delicious authentic fresh tasting food. Good choice and value for money. A hidden gem. Recommend the Dosa, Spinach Bhaji and Butter Chicken with Egg fried rice. A real hidden gem.

Unbelievably tasty food, freshly cooked and brimming with flavours. This was a real treat for our Saturday night takeaway, we absolutely loved the food. Such lovely, friendly, welcoming service too. We have previously tried their "lunch box" for daytime snacks and that was amazing too!

Very disappointed with the Special Kerela Biriyani and Veg Biriyani, the former was just a few bits of chicken with yellow rice. Both very over priced for just coloured rice and what looked like frozen veg thrown in especially with the Vegetable Biriyani. There were no onions, potatoes or any spice in either. The Tarka dhall was tasty but the portion was not reflective of the price. The lassi’s were nice but we waited ages and got them at the end of the meal. When I mentioned to the waitress that the biriyani bore no relation to the a traditional Biriyani, her response was that the staff were Indian to suggest that they knew what they were preparing, ridiculous as I’m Asian myself.

We visited on a rainy Tuesday so it was nice and quiet in the restaurant. The waiter explained the vegan and gluten free menu options to us and said we could sit anywhere in the restaurant we wanted. Let me tell you, the food was amazing! We ordered a Masala Dosa each and an Aloo Chaat and Spinach Pakoras to share between the two of us. The food arrived promptly and was so delicious, we absolutely fell in love with the pakoras. If you're passing this way or in Tunbridge Wells it's definitely worth a visit as the food is very tasty and reasonably priced.

We had a takeaway tonite 02/01/2025 and was not good at all a month ago we had a great one but last 2 times not been great. I dunno if chef changed but I don’t think I will be coming back in a rush which is a shame as used to be our favourite in Tunbridge wells

Myself and Mahesh Anna ( Restaurant Owner) are from the same village and studied in the same school. A few hours ago, I visited The Lungi Restaurant for dinner. As soon as I identified the fish dish name and tasted the fish, the flavors instantly reminded us of our coastal hometown — the kind of taste you find in Nagercoil side, especially places like Puthenthurai and Chemponkarai. ( Kanyakumari) The connection was so strong that we asked the table service person if we could meet the owner… and to our surprise, the owner himself — Mahesh — turned out to be from our very own village! The taste of the food brought out not just memories, but also reconnected us to a familiar face. Truly, food carries identity, culture, and sometimes, even long-lost connections.”

My first visit, so, being the fussy person I am, I can not immediately give it 5 stars. Warm welcome. we were early Saturday evening, so it was quiet. We had popperdoms to start the lime pickle was very nice. As its the first visit we had starters calamari and lamb kebab. The mains were delightful. The mushroom rice was the best I have had anywhere. The aloo gobi was also a treat. The wife had a deshi dish and I tried the gurka bothered tasted fresh although my wife would have preferred more "heat" I liked the fresh taste and the heat from the chilli's and not from a paste! They offered extra chilli 🌶 for my wife but the taste was excellent. So we didn't need it. Would I go again, certainly. I would probably not have the kebab starter but that's again just my choice not because it wasn't nice. I am looking forward to visiting again. Thank you for a loverly meal.

More than half our order was missing , we had to do a 40 min round trip to collect a new order. The rice had pieces of unidentified items in it and there was no apology forthcoming
