The best restaurants serving Indian food in The Vale of Glamorgan South East

This is a Bangladeshi takeaway everything is lovely and really nice guys run the service However obviously atmosphere isn’t the selling point although guys are very friendly and pleasant often get free popadoms and service very efficient Good portions not to greasy or too much ghee Highly recommend it prices reasonable too Seems like all meals freshly made

We’ve been eating here regularly for over 20 years and have yet to find an Indian restaurant to rival it. The food is always fantastic. We’ve never had a bad meal. The service is outstanding. Can’t recommend the Mughal Emperor highly enough

They'd maybe get a 5 for food it was nice ..I had lamb passanda ..lamb nit exactly tender but was ok not tons of flavour though ..the smells from kitchen were very nice .. we had a portion of bajhis 4x they were extremely small ..wouldn't buy those agsin tbh tasty I guess but were bite size at best ..I'd contemplate going back but forget bajhis and have chips and rice separate as the half n half isn't generous . Curry portion decent.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here! The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was really delicious. We wish we had more days in penarth to go back

Hello, myself and my brothers and sisters had a lovely meal at Mint and Mustard. The food here was the best Indian food I have tasted a restaurant in the last few years. I liked the natural light and the simple but colourful decor. We were also very lucky to be served by a delightfully friendly waitress called Swapnali who was polite enough to listen to my terrible Hindi. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a night out in Penarth.

Very disappointing food! KFC Indian BITES The chicken was very dry and stringy. Obviously been cooked hours/days before serving and just warmed up. CRISPY CAULIFLOWER Pre cooked and warmed up. Very disappointed as was looking forward to Award winning Indian food. Need to up their game as I wouldn't buy from there again.

Well what a disaster! Going as a group of 14 for a retirement party (of someone who frequents restaurant). On arrival at booking time 20.30 ( having given a £10 per head deposit) place packed, people everywhere and most tables appeared empty of food. While we stood waiting, people , having booked, told us they’d been waiting a long time. After enquiring a number of times we were sat down to a group of tables thrown together and not set. No one came to take a drinks order but left us with menus. A member of our group’s mother came over to say that they’d been sat since 18.30 (time of their booking) but were still awaiting food! Now 9.30! We asked realistically how long it would be before being served when order taken. Told initially 40mins but then 45 -60mins in next breath. No table around us were eating! We decided to leave - despite having nowhere else to eat as now late and on asking we were easily refunded deposits with an apology. Du3 to disappoint and the fact it was a special occasion you would have thought we’d at least have a free drink ( especially as celebration was for a local, regular customer- but no! We all departed in our separate ways very hungry and greatly disappointed

10/10. Staff are incredible, the food is the best I’ve had and all reasonably priced! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Simply isn’t very good.. I’ve had a few great meals in the Clay Pit but I’ve had as many poor meals too.. I’ve just eaten a chicken korai which on the menu is listed as Spicy and it simply wasn’t.. to me it was a poor medium chicken curry with added green peppers and onions. Sorry guys it was less than ordinary.

First time we visited tonight and definitely will be comming back as the food, service and staff were first class. We had vegan and chicken dishes, everything was fresh and served hot. The atmosphere was excellent and a very clean establishment. The young lady who served us always had a smile and all the staff were very attentive and let you eat your meal without disturbing you. Thank you for a great evening.
