Simply wow. I was walking past and the smell was amazing. A customer came out and said that I should go in and try as they've been a few times and food was great. I was served straight away by a friendly guy at the front counter. Ordered peshwari nan, onion bhaji, mango chicken, coconut rice and got poppadoms/salad/mint sauce, for just over £20. There was enough for two and it was the thickest creamiest mango curry I've had! I will be going again. Highly recommend! (Side note - cash only, unless you pay/order on line).

Very tasty food and good service. Enquired if dishes were gluten free, front of house staff checked with the chefs. They said it was. Usually curries are a pretty safe bet for gluten free. Only thing to make it 5 stars is if they listed it on their menu as gluten free - area to improve. Will be visiting again though.

Food is always excellent. Wide range of options. It's our go to Indian takeaway. Spice on their Pathia is excellent.

I ordered from here for the first time today after seeing all the glowing reviews. The poppadoms tasted like old oil but the chutney tray was nice. I ordered a Chicken Mahkani it was inedible just tasted like almonds with a strange after taste not what i was expecting. The chicken tikka bhuna is my regular order i've tried many, this one was lacking in flavour. The meat was nice but the sauce was quite plain despite having lots of ingredients in. The saag aloo was one of the worst I’ve had, hard flavourless potatoes and it tasted of sweat is the only way I can describe, I’ve tried many saag aloo too and never disliked it before. The meat samosa, rice and naan were ok and everything came hot. I was hoping this would be my new regular spot but after this I won't be back.

We've used this curry house for a long time and generally have our food delivered. It is consistently excellent on taste, quality and service. The chicken tikka pathia is fabulous. Its the best curry house around. You will not be disappointed!!

I have been ordering from Curry Leaf since they first opened. The food is first rate, they're efficient, friendly and delivery is swift. Note it's cash only if you want to pay on collection, but you can pay by card when you place your order online. We highly recommend everything we've tried and the tarka daal and bombay potatoes are to die for!

The khatchuri dansak was the best vegetarian curry I have ever had! Good naan too with complimentary poppadoms. The chicken korma was a little chewy.

I have tried many curry places in Cardiff, and this is the best one I have found to date for quality and also price. Excellent food, highly recommended! 🙂👍

We ordered a wide variety of food and it was all excellent. We could not fault any dish. The service too was fantastic and the staff helped us out when we made a mistake with the order. They were ony too happy to help. We will be visiting again the next time we are in the area and I recommend it to all. Well worth travelling to for superb quality food.

Had a takeaway from here last week, for the first time since it's been under new ownership. It was absolutely delicious! I'm on my way to pick up their midweek special for tonight... Cant wait! This is easily the best Indian takeaway in Penarth!

We treated ourselves to a takeaway from here and it was absolutely perfect. When everything is so expensive treating yourself to a takeaway can be a gamble but the curry leaf really delivered ☺️ the staff were super friendly when we went to pick it up and even threw in a few extra bits

Really delicious food! We live outside of Penarth and so didn't expect food to be hot when it arrived, but it was! We will be ordering again for sure! The best Indian we have had for a long time. Definitely recommend. Everything was perfectly flavoured, fresh and wonderfully cooked. Amazing customer service also! Thank you! (We had the midweek deal which is perfect for 2 very hungry people)

Best Indian takeaway in Penarth! The food was amazing full of flavour, big portions and great value for money. The chef and staff are very friendlily and helped recommend some curries which we absolutely loved!

We had two great meals. My Vegetable Balti was packed with fresh vegetables, I counted seven different veg, and very flavoursome. The chicken Bhuna was delicious, with t Ed beer chicken pieces.

Fabulous food, tandoori chicken one of the best I’ve eaten - fresh succulent and perfectly spiced. Vegetables locally sourced and cooked from fresh. Tarkha Dahl perfect consistency not watery. Garlic Nan perfect. You’d expect good food from a new venture but this is on another level. Really good Indian food at reasonable prices.
