My favourite weekly restaurant. The best Southern Indian food!

Ordered takeaway from here. I thought it was going to be really nice from all the good reviews but all I can say is there are a lot of people in Brighton who don’t know what a bad curry is. The curry was watery, thin and obviously made from a “base” sauce that they just adapt slightly for each type of curry. Many cheap curry houses do this to make their food quick and easy but I wasn’t expecting it here. I ordered it “extremely hot” and it came out exactly as a medium hot would do, ie. Not extremely hot at all. To be fair to Bayleaf I guessed they would do this (it’s England, lots of curry houses tone down the heat for the locals) so won’t mark them down for it. The meat tasted like it was cooked from frozen though and the daal was watery and bland. I really was expecting more. This is a cheap way to run a restaurant and I felt conned by all the glowing reviews because, while I’ve had worse, the food was basic. Hey ho, my search for a decent curry house continues.

Holly with a Y Amazing! Service was out of this world, smiling and helpful, asked if we wantes the service charge and charity donation. Food was brilliant, flavour was intense and sharing dishes are fun and friendly. Cocktails were a winner, not much else to say on that. Would defiently recomend, especially brighton Mowgli

Absolutely disgusting food! We spent £60 on a variety of dishes and not a single one was acceptable. Cold food that had spilt in both bags due to improper packaging. Once that was resolved and we started eating and was completely disgusted. I could sit here and list countless issues with this restaurants food however I’ll save you the time. Just don’t go here, for your own sake.

Ordered a delivery for two while staying in Airbnb for Marathon weekend. Delivery was prompt and the meals excellent value for money.

Ordered for delivery worth £27 on a day when the takeaway was open. After 2 hours and no food, called the restaurant (31 times in total). They claimed it had been delivered initially, which it hadn't. Then said the driver had delivered it "somewhere else". No delivery was made and they are now refusing the chargeback because "this is a take away" apparently is an excuse that TSB accept.

We order two meals with sides last night, through the web app, which was simple and speedy. Order arrived within 30 minutes, which was excellent for a Friday peak time order. Food was absolutely fantastic, one of the best we have had in many ,any years. Will definitely be ordering again.

regularly order from here best Indian in my opinion in Brighton, Lamb Chops, Lamb Bhuna, Butter Chicken is all very tasty really recommend

Excelente comida india auténtica con camareros atentos. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente plus en una ubicación muy agradable con vistas al paseo marítimo de Brighton.

Really really good to the point where I was suprised chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo actually the best I’ve ever tried from a takeaway and the Bombay potato was also perfect.

Fabulosa comida, buenas porciones, buena relación calidad-precio , servicio rápido, ambiente encantador, recomiendo 100%. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.
