Nice curry, like that they often give you poppadoms for free as well. My only criticism would be sometimes the chicken is a bit fatty, so maybe go for the veggie curries instead.

The estimated delivery time is confusing and unhelpful. Long before the stated time slot my app told me that delivery was underway. As the supplier is a relatively short WALK away I was surprised that 15 mins after showing as on way it hadn’t arrived! I called the restaurant to be told it had just left! Both cannot be true!

Some of our popadoms had been forgotten but apart from that the curry was superb! Tikka was so soft and the butter chicken was very yummy!

The food was awful... tasteless and possibly just this side of fresh. We didn't finish it because who wants to start the new year with the raging squits? I'm having beans on toast next time.

Really lovely food, really friendly staff, and they usually chuck in free mint sauce and poppadom. Ordered from them too many times to count and it’s always perfect.

Mumbai express was a good surprise for me. The food tasty really good and the menu has a big diversity. Unfortunately it's not so cheap, but you can share with someone.

Tried Chicken Tikka Ceylon and Lamb Rogan Josh. Both very very mild. Which is disappointing as both stated they were medium to fairly hot. They both had spice level of a korma. Also there was very little lamb, just 5 small pieces. Would not order again. Not good value for money.

Never had a bad curry from this place. Always tasty and quickly prepared. Sides are nice too. Staff are always friendly and they generally deliver locally within about 30 mins. Or you get 10% off when you go and collect. Parking outside can be a bit difficult if you are just popping in, but I always find a spot.

Literally ordered for Father’s Day took over an hour. It was about an hour and 25 minutes to be delivered when arrived There was an item missing , in which they said they can get it delivered but it’s pointless by the time they sent the item. What would we have done with our food ? All would of gone cold ,terrible terrible service The food was actually cold, when we opened the tin trays, there was hardly any meat on my husbands Tandoori mix grill and for £40 it’s a lot of money for what we actually received. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

Das Essen war gut, der Service auf Zack und immer zuvorkommend, der Sound (ital. Schlager aus den 50&60iger) war der brüller, eigentlich total falsch und darum kam der italienische Charme inmitten einer südenglischen Stadt auf.

Die Auswahl bei den Frühstücks-gerichten ist zwar nicht groß, aber geschmeckt hatte es, und deswegen oft dort gewesen.

This deceptively compact building is a bit of a Tardis, room upon room bars and restaurant areas, mostly attractive decor and a welcoming atmosphere. It was a bit noisy but then it was busy, with everyone having a good time The food was average price and service cheerful (students), but nothing remarkable here. It was at least as good as the next place... Wine prices are ridiculous, stick to beer!

After waiting an hour and a half , I was so disappointed of the quality of the chicken , was it a rubber one? And the cauliflower was so salty . So hungry and disappointed

After ordering a chicken tikka chilli Balti tonight my partner had started to eat his meal and thought the ‘chicken’ was chewy and tasted funny. He then realised he was actually eating lamb! My partner hasn’t eaten lamb for over 10 years so it was a bit of a shock! On telephoning the curry house to complain, my partner was spoken to as if he was lying! Raj told him ‘We are extra special when we prepare your meals’!! ‘We need to see the packaging!’ Now the reason Mumbai Express are so careful with our food is because I’m a vegetarian and twice now I have been eating my vegetarian dish and there has been chicken in it! But the worst reason for Mumbai express double checking our meals is because on 15th February 2019 I was eating my vegetarian dansak and I bit into what I thought was onion skin. After removing it from my mouth I realised it was 2 skin colour plasters stuck together and you could actually see the blood on the white part of the dressing and this had been in my mouth! The manager quickly came to my house and apologised for this and took the plasters away with him! Now why did we go back? Because we thought we’d give them another chance! But over and over and over again they’ve made mistakes…. But not just little mistakes! But it’s the way they actually deal with you as a customer! They are rude and abusive and basically call you a liar! Here attached are pictures of tonight’s mistake… clearly says Lb tikka balti … should have been Garlic chilli chicken tikka balti and also attached photos of the plasters I removed from my mouth from my vegetarian dansak!

This is a little gem on the vast take away scene in Brighton. They've been around for many years & I never had a bad experience ordering from them. Food is lovely, great choice of dishes & very good value for money. The Batli today was perfect, succulent pieces of chicken, very flavoursome and generous portion. Friendly customer service & a very kind & chirpy in house delivery driver. Looking forward to my next curry!

it was fine food but it was a little too hot spice wise for me. It was as hot as an old school madras in my opinion. I was expecting a Dansak spiciness but the food was very good.

Great Takeaway!!! You know you're gonna get a good meal when it smells LOVELY in the waiting area. We ordered veggie dansak, veggie vindaloo, onion bajis & a Peshawari naan. Everything was flavoursome, staff we super friendly and threw in 3 poppadoms and chutney & onion salad. 5 stars you can't go wrong!

We ordered two Rogan Josh. They were incredibly bland, there was no distinct flavour or a hint of spice. Really disappointing. Also the Curry didn't have enough sauce, it seemed like it invapourated completely.

Garlic chicken masala and chicken masala were excellent. Both cooked perfectly. Naan bread was perfect. Sag paneer did not taste right. Not sure if paneer cheese was used.

The Lamb Biriany still isn't up to scratch. Tiny pieces of lamb, not much flavour on this occasion.

My chicken dansak had zero heat (like they'd forgotten to add the chilli?) and the chicken was really dry. The okra was also really bland and a bit grey looking...

Best Indian delivery in town. The food is extraordinary and the delivery service is very quick. Dishes are particularly generous whereas prices are very reasonable.

What a shame, I was let down badly with this latest order. First of all, the Chicken Tikka Ceylon was good, along with the rice. The Lamb Tikka Biriany was shocking. Very tiny pieces of lamb and the rice had clumps in it. Finally, the Chana Saag was hard and undercooked and was also badly burnt. Very disappointed!!! What a waste of money!!!

Tandoori chicken and Lamb biryani was astonishing

Prawn curry was not good at all !! Very poor was 4 prawns In a mountain of sauce this is highly disappointing 🥲 to say the least. The lamb curry was not enjoyed at all very disappointed with order.

Best balti I know of in the area!

Have bought from here multiple times and it never disappoints. Always so good and they usually chuck in some poppadoms and some lovely mint sauce. Super friendly service, always got the football on too.
