The best restaurants serving Indian food in South East

Great find. Next to Holiday inn express Fleet. Great food. Timur special. Prawn. Great dish, garlic chilli naan, egg fried rice. All great 2 staple tikka masala pilau rice also great. Service excellent We will return. Great spot

What we like about this restaurant is it showcases both Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine. Being from India but with Bangladeshi heritage, I really enjoyed seeing popular Bengali dishes on the menu like Aloo Posto, crushed poppy seed with potatoes and Prawn Malai curry which are prawns cooked in a coconut sauce. The Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani and Shammi kebabs were both delicious. The staff made us feel very welcome. Their care and attention was much appreciated. We'll definitely dine there again.

Fantastic food!! Service was perfect and the food was even better. Mo was a brilliant server, very kind and friendly! Would 100% recommend.

Great Restaurant and always good honest food , we use it on a regular basis and never had reason to go elsewhere . Give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

1st takeaway from the Tamarind Tree. Really excellent food! King prawn shaslick….v tasty, cooked very well. King prawn tamarind…..super tasty not over salty as most places. Everything else great and two free poppadoms …thanks. Will be coming again. Good parking outside.

Zac's previous review is a load of absolute bull. I was here alongside the staff working that night as was drinking in here.. he paid with cash an rung up with a so called error on the order.. then when told to come in an sort it out he wanted copensation paid onto a card. Was offered credit or to come back an resolve the issue. He then decided over half his order was wrong.. this is a load of bull. Completely false review! Shouldnt be allowed as negative reviews can harm a struggling business anywhere.. disrepectful ingnorant little woke.. Just trying to scam himself then pleads he is getting scammed.. what a jobs worth

I went to collect my phone order and found, a big disgusting smelly DOG sitting inside, at the entrance. There was no way to enter inside without passing the smelly dog close to people eating, shocking! The food I ordered was the worst I ever had.

Went for first time and found it superb. Prices were very reasonable. Staff excellent. My missus had prawns in a hot curry, think it was chettinad, I had lamb (lamb shank off the bone) that was some type of gosht and paratha, nan and veg rice and their equivalent to bombay potatoes so they are not bombay style but a different city and they were superb, never seen them anywhere else. The food was OUTSTANDING. Eat here you won't be disappointed.

We had our anniversary meal here as we wanted to stay local, and it was excellent in every way. We came for the halwa puri but had the lamb karhai and mixed grill as well. The halwa puri was light, the puri was not greasy. This is authentic Pakistani food. Family run and they made us feel at home... recommend and will return.

Ate here earlier tonight as part of a group. Friendly staff, incredibly good food and good service. Can’t really ask for any more than that. Really really excellent curry

Wow what a find, we found this hidden gem by accident and how pleased were my family and i. From entering to leaving this restaurant is a must go to. The food was simply amazing , The Variety Biryani is must try so so nice, the Sylheti Kebab was divine and Amer Salmon was well what can I say it was out of this world !! I eat curries all over the Uk with work, I was on a day out with my family and have to say it was one of the best restaurant experience have had in years, customer service second to none, the atmosphere was relaxed, nothing was a rush and on a Sunday evening restaurant was majority full yet nothing was problem to the staff, they went above and beyond and all my family said how nice everything was from start to finish. Well done to the Akash Team, thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon. Aarez and family. xx

New South Indian Tuesday night was superb. 2 chefs , one from Delhi one from Kerala , front of house making delicious masala dosas , explaining what ingredients they are using. Engaging , talking with great pride about their work. The Dosas and accompanying chutneys were delicious , authentic and healthy . As always, in our experience , the staff here were genuinely welcoming , knowledgeable and a delight to communicate with. The Indian street food selections were equally as good

I had a surprise retirement party thrown for me and as usual Mac , Moss and co served a superb feast with excellent service
