Malik, Hossain, Dani and the rest of their team smashed it again. We can not praise this restaurant enough. Nothing was to much trouble. We have just had a takeaway delivery it was I think the best we have ever had it was hot tasty and plentiful. From the lady on the phone to the lovely man that delivered it was brilliant. Highly recommend tiffins Thankyou for a perfect birthday meal .

We used this place for one of our curry club nights. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We like our curries hot and weren’t disappointed. They also accommodated our special request for chilli bhajis (like onion bhajis but with chillies instead of onion)something we always ask for and their interpretation was spot on. They came with three different types.

We visited on a Wednesday banquet night, early in the evening. Thankfully we had booked as they were turning away those that hadn't.The food was absolutely lovely, as it always is. The starters were huge and really tasty. The chicken chat was really good, as was the chicken tandori and mixed starter.Mains were really good too, particularly the Goan Chicken Masala, and the Murghi Masala.Most importantly, the staff did an amazing job of ensuring everyone kept safe and distant. Some table have dividers between them to ensure everyone keep acceptably distant, and masks and gloves were worn where appropriate. They did a wonderful job, and I felt secure. However as we were waiting for our bill, big groups of post pub customers arrived, who were not quite as dedicated to distancing as they should be. The staff handled this well, but if you want a safely distanced meal I would recommend going early.The only issue I had was it did take a while for the bill to arrive, and I was getting slightly agitated to get outstide.

Age 81 I have eaten in many Indian restaurants throughout the United Kingdom and this is one of the best.

Visited with friends during a weekend away, chose this restaurant based on reviews. The food was very tasty, hot and well presented but the surroundings were a bit tired and my husband noticed the carpets upstairs and along the corridor were dusty due to building works being carried out at the time. Hopefully this is a sign that the restaurant is being refurbished and not an ongoing situation. Would like to go back for the food and to see if the restaurant has been updated.

We have used Tiffins many times for both inhouse and takeaway (delivered ) meals. The food is always plentiful and flavoursome and not swilling in oil. the staff are always friendly and helpful again both restaurant and delivered, it is our favourite "Indian" in abingdon.This time however they excelled as we booked them for a buffet at our club for 32 heads. They could not have been more helpful in the organising and arranging the menu. Delivery was in a timely fashion and in perfect containers for the evening .2 mains, 2 side dishes, starters of samosas and bargees , popadoms and naan.There were only glowing comments from the members, The food was beautifully cooked , flavoursome and delicious enjoyed by all , literally. with some to spare. Considering it was on one of their busiest nights , Valentines , things went smoothly. and all for a reasonable price.There were calls for us to hold an "Indian" night every month.I recomend Tiffins to everyone who enjoys a good meal.

We went to Tiffins last night for a Valentines meal as we always enjoy tasty excellent food and excellent customer service. We have been coming to Tiffins for a few years now and we have never been disappointed the standard is always high. We love the way the staff are passionate about the quality of the food and the service which makes this our favourite restaurant in Oxfordshire. THANKYOU again for a lovely meal.

Now it’s sad for me to write a bad review for this restaurant as I’ve been eating in here for years but me and my family had a takeaway for a special occasion at the end of December and it was awful.My dish had no spice whatsoever and tasted more like a stew than a curry and my families dishes weren’t much better.I’m hoping this was a one off but it’s fair to leave good and bad reviews and unfortunately this time it’s a bad review.

The food is always top notch and the staff are extremely attentive. This is my go to curry house in Abingdon and the Sunday banquet of £12.50 is great value and certainly fills a hole!!

We called in early on a rainy night and were pleased to see there were already other diners there. We were given a warm welcome and the service was fast and friendly. All the dishes were well presented and tasty. We look for to a return visit next time we are in the area

We booked here for a Sunday night, which was very busy and lively. The service was fast and efficient, a great choice of dishes on the menu and when the food arrived it was very good. Quite a clean well run restaurant altogether, in a great location in the town. Car parking is restricted, but other streets nearly offer more spaces.

We have always found the Dil Raj to be our default Indian restaurant (and we still love it) but now we have another, complementary favourite. Tiffins feels more homely and refined. Both places give a welcome, and both leave me utterly full, having tempted me with more than I should really eat, but Tiffins has a hard-to-define, nuanced pleasure that I keep thinking of as 'delicate'. From the quieter atmosphere, through the thoughtful presentation of the food, to the lovely and distinct taste that different dishes offer - and the discreet, but personal service - Tiffins really impressed today. I have been in Abingdon over 30 years, but tonight was my first visit. The next will be much, much sooner. Our whole family (4) loved it.

Every time we feel like an Indian meal we come back to Tiffins we always receive a warm welcome. The food is excellent and we always enjoy the evening. The restaurant is always busy and the takeaway service always seems busy too which is an indication that many other people feel the same about the food as we do. Absolutely excellent! We went to tiffins on Saturday the 19th of January 2019 with a party of 25 family and friends. We all had a great evening the food was fantastic the service was great. Everyone in our party agreed this is the best Indian restaurant in Abingdon. We have not found a better Indian restaurant in the Oxford area. I would highly recommend tiffins

Having previously had many take away meals from Tiffins, which have never disappointed we decided to book a table and eat in for a change. I can honestly say we will definitely be doing so again, a lovely restaurant with a fab atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the value for money. We’re looking forward to going again very soon.

The food and service is consistently excellent we are never disappointed the food is always tasty and freshly cooked. There is something for everyone we often see families with children eating and enjoying the food. It still remains one of our favourite places to eat in Oxfordshire. Tiffins is reasonably priced and very good for groups. As a consequence they quite often have groups and they dominate, it becomes rather noisy. Good if you are in the group, no to so good if just two of you. Food is ok, not brilliant but reasonable value.

First visit for myself and better half! after recommendations from my eldest son, a great family ( late Father’s Day) meal with plenty of it and then not taking the mick with the final bill was a added bonus, will be visiting again.

We have eaten in Tiffins on several occasions and the food and service is always excellent. We ate there again about an hour ago and the food and service were up to the usual standard, but our evening was completely ruined by being seated beside two drunk middle aged women. They shouted and swore throughout our time there, and obviously had far too much to drink.

Quality along the same lines as a good Tesco takeaway curry. Similar quantity of meat and sauce. Flavour similar. Good variety of dishes. Good delivery time and food hot.

We usually get takeaway from Tiffins but decided to go for Banquet night on Wednesday. Staff was friendly as usual and we like the casual atmosphere. We had dinner a bit late and my daughter brought her dominoes with her. The waiter sat down and started playing dominoes with our younger daughter. It was later so pretty soon we had more staff playing dominoes.

Went with friends and had a fantastic meal. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the interior decor is lovely. We had many different dishes and cannot fault anything at all. Just delicious. Thank you.

The experience was great. The staff were really nice and had great hospility training. They always asked if everything was okay and enjoyed talking to us while we ordered. The menu is a nice and wide ranged one.

Great food, tender lamb and seasoned superbly! Really enjoyed the meal. The service was fine and the decor and atmosphere good. Really loved the mixed tandoori, lamb madras and cauliflower bhagi and nothing was too greasy! We love our curries out and this was a good choice!

Dropped into Abingdon for a quick curry. Chose this restaurant because we parked outside it. Wednesday was banquet day. £11.95 for a starter, main, rice and side. Great value. Delicious food and would revisit if back in Abingdon.

Just seen the previous review and can't believe they have been to the same restaurant. I am a frequent customer and have never had a bad meal. The food is excellent and the service outstanding in my experience.

Went to try the banquet meal after hearing a lot of good things but was disappointed buy all dishes. The glasses were dirty and the beer tasted off, to top it all off I managed to find hair in all items of food (somehow including the chutneys). Was sorely disappointed and regret not bringing it up but as the tables being so close didn't want to put the next table off their food also.

Three of us went to Tiffins for the Sunday Banquet which @£11.95 each is good value.A starter;main;rice/nann;side dish(veg).All were cooked just right,very filling but nice.To drink there is Kingfisher & Cobra on tap.We were there about 13.00 a bit quiet but nice never the less,the waiter was very attentive with a pleasing manner.

We ordered a takeaway on Saturday night on the recommendation of a neighbour who uses Tiffins a lot. The food arrived within the time stated and the driver was very pleasant so got a good tip! However, the Tikka was dry, the Korma completely tasteless and the rice overcooked. Sadly, we won't be ordering again - most of it went in the bin.

Friday night fancied curry so took a gamble and turned up without booking. Dhansak and madras are superb and staff friendly and attentive. Had take away before and always promised myself an eat in. Certainly extremely happy with tasty food and reasonable prices. RECOMMEND

Fourth time of going to Tiffins and has been good every time had 3 meals in the restaurant and one takeaway each time the staff were friendly and polite and helpful and the food has been really delicious, well cooked and tasty. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and so far we haven't been disappointed. We have only been at the weekends and it always seems busy which means it must be popular. It is very clean and the atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and welcoming. It is reasonably priced and good value for money. We will go back again and again and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.

So, to Tiffins, a much loved Abingdon curry house with a clientele who swear it is the best curry house in town. And it may be that.It's lightly decorated though starting to look a little tired. Lots of space but mainly because the tables are too small, with little room to put the food on. A bit of an issue in dish served cuisine.Food is standard Brit-curry fare. Well done for what it is but not part of the break for haute Indian cookery or even for pretty food. The derivation of "curry" is gravy. And this is what you get- different meats in different gravies. Some are hot, some sweet. We tried 6 and in all the meat was tender and tasty. Nothing stood out.Sides are not brilliant. Afterthoughts rather than opportunities. Cauliflower, mushrooms and Tarkha Dal all essentially bland.The people here are lovely. Warm and friendly service but do not expect theatricality.Loos are tired but clean.Good for a curry after a pint or three but there is better places for that special meal.

Look - not the most luxurious restaurant in town, it's seen better days. But the food? Awesome - a cut above Dil Raj. Would return again, for sure.

WOW! Walked in and asked to have a take away. Welcomed and asked to take a seat. Waiter came and took order and we ordered a drink. Didn't even have time to finish before take away arrived. Real pleasure was getting home and eating it. Chicken korai and king prawn sag. Amazing and so tasty - definitely will go back and eat in next time

Visited earlier this week with a large group of friends . It was probably the size of group but it seemed to take forever to be served . Food was normal Abingdon curry type fayre so not spectacular .

We had a house warming party on 11th of September 2016. Tiffin's supplied some of the food for the party all our guests agreed it was some of the best curry's they had tasted. 16 of us have agreed to visit tiffin's again the first week in December for a Christmas meal. The staff are brilliant. Thank you very much.

We are very regular customers at this Restaurant...we are always met with a smile and a very pleasant conversation with the staff. The food is excellent I guess we have now tried everything on the Menu it always most enjoyable...if you have not tried this restaurant ...give it a go..you will not be dissapointed

Decided to try for a take away on Father's Day as no tables to eat in - that popular. All I can say is wow. Brilliant food and relatively short wait for it given how busy the restaurant was. Definitely going to eat in next time

We have regularly ordered from this restaurant and have on the whole always been happy (if they remember everything). Unfortunately tonight wasn't good at all, ordered are usually, kormas for the boys, (okay apparently) and chicken Pathias for me and the wife. These were really salty and not sweet and sour as expected ant the Nan breads were burnt black all on the underside and were impossible to eat. Overall £50 not well spent.

We went to Tiffins as a group of friends and found the food to be a big step above the normal Indian restaurants in Abingdon. The food was freshly cooked and there wasn't the taste of sauces and spices out of packets/jars that you get in other places. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush. We went on a Wednesday evening when there is a 'banquet' menu for £11+ which allows you to sample what they do (not self service - you just choose from a list). I would encourage people in Abingdon to give it a try.

This was our first visit to Tiffins and we went on recommendation of a friend. We were the only couple in there to begin with but it was only 6 o'clock in the evening.we noticed there were many orders being taken for takeaways obviously very popular. The staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.The food was really nice fragrant and tasted really delicious. We will definitely return. We will be recommended it to our friends.

On the plus side, the 'sides' were of a good quality, however the main courses were all poor. All three main dishes looked the same, and in reality tasted strangely similar too, and the chicken had an oddly moist and rubbery texture.The Sunday evening fixed price was low, although the restaurant was almost empty, perhaps reflecting our experience with the chicken dishes.

The food was fairly average here, but very good value - if you visit on a Wednesday, you can choose any starter, main course, side dish and rice or naan for £14.95 (prawn dishes extra). The restaurant itself is comfortable, though the gents toilet was a bit basic and could have been cleaner. When I checked on Scores On The Doors, I found that the restaurant only scored two out of five in February 2016, receiving a "poor" rating in the food hygiene category.

Finding a good takeaway can be a long drawn out process. As far as our Indian takeaway of choice goes Tiffins is it for us. The food is absolutely incredible, fresh, aromatic and so tasty.Always quick and never had a missing dish, which is a frustrating thing to happen when having a takeaway. Discount for collection, plus beer or wine thrown in depending on how much you spend!Look forward to many years patronage!

We arrived at 7pm on Friday night and the place was empty. By 8pm it was packed and very, very noisy, making it difficult to hear conversation at our own table as the tables are so close together. That is my only gripe about the whole evening. The food is gorgeous; the staff are just lovely, attentive and funny, and the value for money is just great.....£125 for 5 people, 2 courses each and 4 rounds of drinks. Exceptional and so good. Will definitely return.

Our first time trying this place and it was the most delicious curry I've had in the UK. Being a Friday night it was busy but we only had to wait 30 minutes for our takeaway. We got some starters and a couple of curries and they were all yummy and very reasonably priced.

We have been to Tiffins at least 5 times in the last 2 years, despite there being about 4 other sit down establishments also nearby. It is the best quality and value for a meal out, and it is consistently so. The Sunday set meal is astonishingly good value for money. Come hungry, it is a lot of food!

Went out with a group of friends on Friday night for dinner. We skipped starts and went on to the main courses - very nice food and good service. Amazing service actually! Would highly recommend and will visit again
