Royal Tandoori in Dartford

I want to prize the team at royal tandoori .I have ordered a food delivery and didn't realised my phone went off.After 1 hour of waiting I decided to call to ask what has happened to only find out that my delivery was returned to the restaurant ...Driver couldn't locate my address (have that quite often as my building its difficult to locate) and he couldn't het hold of me due to my phone wasn't working They offered me to bring it again and I must say I was amazing as usual with some extra bits ! Thank you for doing that !Food quality its always great fresh and yummy !

The food itself was average but the customer service was a joke. My partner asked for cucumbers and the old guy acted like we’d asked for one of his limbs. We received the bill and we’d been charged for chutneys which we never ordered but were told they come with the popadoms, some people don’t even use the chutneys so how could they come as a package yet be priced separately? They also wanted to charge £2 for a takeaway box even though we were dine in customers and just wanted to take some of the excess away and not waste the food.

Amazing local restaurant, really friendly and welcoming staff and awesome food. I brought my 2 sons here for their 1st sit down experience and they absolutely loved it,we have been returning regularly since.

Had better, and had cheaper. But the combination of price and quality makes this a cracking restaurant. Great food and top notch value for money

I went to tandoori with friends. Honestly, it’s seems that the food are repeatedly warm up in the microwave, it’s dry and tasteless. And the service is very slow and the service crews are extremely rude.

Have eaten here a few times and have to say always a good meal and the young manager is such a nice man he has made this restaurant a really inviting place to eat it’s such a shame it’s not busy as the atmosphere can be a bit lacking, it has been decorated a little while ago and is very tastefully done and the meal we had this Saturday was probably the best yet .. thank you Karen and mark .

It’s always been a bit hit and miss, both in terms of food and service, but last night they excelled themselves. We waited nearly two hours for our delivery and were simply told it was on the way. No apology no explanation and certainly no attempt to compensate us for receiving our food at gone 9pm. Last contact was the phone being put down on me. The tandoori chicken was so spicy it was inedible and the rice was bordering on cold. You could tell the food had been on a magical mystery tour on its way to us due to the temperature of all the dishes. Will 100% not be using this place again. Outrageous rudeness and definitely NOT worth the wait.

I have visited this restaurant many many times in my life and I went 2 weeks ago for the Sunday buffet and the food seemed unusually cold and a little old I put this down to a 1 off and visited again today , the chicken pieces were cold both varieties , same with the curry’s looking old and Luke warm the rice was half like bullets and inedible even the chips were stone cold and the staff seemed to act like it wasn’t a problem I loved this restaurant and hope this restaurant reeds this review with the aim of improving as it seems emptier than ever in there

Waited over 2 hours for delivery my friend went into the restaurant to find out where it was the man was extremely rude and said it was out for delivery It turned up cold and totally inedible We were regulars at this restaurant but never again will we eat there absolute shocker if I could give it a 0 I would

My son and I visited the Royal Tandoori to try their Sunday buffet. There was a good selection of dishes including starters, extras (such as Naan bread) and main meals. The food was hot and plentiful so you could visit the buffet as often as you wanted to. The staff were very attentive but this may have been because the restaurant was almost empty. You should note that the buffet does end at 8pm so make sure that you arrive with plenty of time to take advantage of some very good food.

Made a collection order and was told 20 minutes so I went to the shop and sat there while the man was on the phone and when he finished he just walked past me to the kitchen so I thought he was putting the order through, he appeared again and went to serve some restaurant customers, finally about 10 minutes later he asks me for the details of the collection, he tells me £14.70 so I paid £15. I’m told to take a seat as it’s going to be a couple of minutes. I do so then I get told that he charged me for the wrong order so I go over and find that he hadn’t got the wrong order but got the price wrong and it was only £14.10, I said it’s fine and not to worry, and I finally get my food after 20 minutes in the shop and 20 minutes after the call. I get home 5 minutes later and unpack my food that I’m quite looking forward to by now. Now I’ve only ordered 3 items so should be straight forward, king prawn purée was a bit oily but not bad, the lamb samosas were in fact vegetable and my sheek kebab was stone cold, so I’m not too impressed with the place to be fair but I’m finding it increasingly hard to find a decent Indian takeaway anywhere lately.

Helped us out when we turned up just before closing time with a decent meal at a good price. Everything we asked for came up promptly & all was good, no complaints.

So been here a few times and each time gets better and better food always good but was a bit dated inside . is now having a bit a refresh and looks much better and the young owner is so infused about the restaurant and wish him all the luck keep up the great work ☺️
