Royal Tandoori in Dartford

Booked in today for a meal for our anniversary and the staff were wonderful and the food delicious and so reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Brummie working out of town and I’m absolutely devastated that this isn’t my local. From the starter to the naan bread everything was perfect and by far the best curry I’ve had for a long time! Service was prompt and friendly to top it all off. Might be giving my boss a nudge to get some work in Dartford again.

We revisited this restaurant after a couple of years. The young owner remembered us and made us so welcome. Not many covers in, so there’s no real ‘vibe’ to the place other than fantastic food! Had the best Dansak that I’d had in years. Really recommend and am planning a group booking with friends very soon.

Uncooked peas and uncooked cheese motor penner was disgusting we throw it away and we order butter chicken but they give chicken curry and mashroom curry was very bad i will never go back to this restaurant.

Disgusting experience i ever had. Never recommend to anyone to visit there. Just decorations is fine. But food is uncooked, rude staff ignore Preferrence of the customer. I ordered Motar panner which was uncooked with excess of salt. I ordered butter chicken they gave me chicken curry with extra chilli. Mushroom was not even tastable.

Lovely food, cooked and served by lovely people.

Had a spontaneous visit on a thursday evening. Place is well maintained and decorated. Ever since walking in the door the customer service was top tier, food was amazing and i was well looked after, well fed and felt welcome. Menu had plenty to choose from, i chose to go with lamb and it turned up beautiful. Would highly recommend for a good dinner and experience. If im ever in the area will definitely visit again.

I haven’t been here for many years but my wife and I came for the Sunday Buffet which was lovely. All food was hot and kept supplied in the hot plate. We will come back and possibly bring others with us . Friendly service too 👍🏻

Best place around for quality of food. The curry I have never changes in taste like some curry houses do. Same spot on taste every tine, which is important. Staff were great with Mum and our 2 year old guest also, and Mum had a fantastic meal. My Son would never try a curry despite eating spicy food. He had his first last night, a chicken madras. He is now hooked. Well done royal tandoori. Never dissapoint.

Really impressed with the quality of the cooking, Tikka's not overcooked at all which is usually the case, still very moist inside but still with a nice char on the outside, fluffy naan's and my balti had a real depth of flavour, nicely reduced down sauce. Looking forward to going back again and again, this will be my new local, despite having to go past a couple of other restaurants, this place miles ahead in terms of quality. Service from Khan and the team exceptional.

Quiet for a Saturday night, but that's a sign of the times. Great staff. Great food. Maybe a little in the expensive side, but only just. I'll go again.

Had a fantastic meal at the Royal Tandoori in Dartford after work on Monday 7th August.... the food was excellent, the onion bhaji was light, crispy and tasty.... lots of pickle and chutney with the poppadoms, the people were very friendly and helpful.... a bit quiet but Monday evening to be expected...Lots of space... If you're looking for good food then this is a good a place as any...

Unfortunately this place has gone from bad to worse. I have been a regular for at least 8 years, eating in at least once a week and having a takeaway once or twice a week as well. No more. I’m writing this after my last ever meal from here. The food quality has deteriorated greatly. The curry’s are way too watery. Poppadoms are stale. Naans are undercooked and the rice is stodgy. Delivery is a joke, no matter what time you order it’s always at least an hour wait, it’s getting more like an hour and a half lately and I only live half a mile away. You used to get decent freebies with every order, not any more. There is a new man taking the phone orders and he doesn’t take the time to listen so the orders are wrong and he is far too abrupt. The final nail in the coffin is the latest price rises. Absolutely disgusting, every item has gone up, some items as much as 30-40%. You’re just being greedy! I can’t see you being open much longer. You have lost a very good customer for all the above reasons.

First time trying today and will not be my last. Great service from Abdul who was kind, friendly and efficient. Food was brilliant, not like your typical Indian restaurant more authentic here. Highly recommend and will visit again. Highlight for me was the paneer tikka and coconut rice. Wow. Thank you Abdul and wishing you so much success

Myself and my model went for dinner on Saturday after booking a table up front, the service was great - we were looked after and the food was tasty - i can say the tandoori Chicken is amazing, i would not order the kebab, as i have had better. We also ordered vegetarian biryani with some dal. Very tasty I would go again.

I cannot recommend Royal Tandori. Before we had even ordered any food the serving staff were talking about tips and how not to leave cash or card tip because they don’t get them. He even brought a cash bag to us and told us to leave any cash tip in the bag behind the bin in the toilet. It was very uncomfortable and inappropriate. The food was average and both me and my colleague suffered gut issues later that night. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food was exceptional. The service was super friendly and the owner even gave us complementary drinks. All and all would definitely recommend it if you’re a fan of good honest Indian food We had wonderful time here. Staff was very courteous. The food was amazing. We just thought to give it a try because we were in this area but pleasantly surprised with quality of food and service. this has been our local takeaway for years. We go here every Friday night after work. The Chicken tikka biryani was great and the staff always friendly They deserve better rating for sure.

I recently dined at Royal Tandoori and it was an exceptional experience. The flavours of the dishes were truly authentic, and the service was impeccable. It was a great night out with my family and we had delicious dinner in Royal Tandoori. It’s been awesome.

Ordered delivery saturday evening, food tasted ok Chicken Dhansak/egg rice, onion bhajis (chicken was tough chewie). By 9am the next morning I had some form of food poisoning, hot sweats, faint, feeling sick and almost glued to the toilet for the morning. Still feeling awful now and its 3pm sunday afternoon I used rate this curry house but sadly not anymore. Won't ever be eating here or getting a delivery again.

Me and my dad went for a meal here for my birthday . Lovely man served us his name was Dee . He made our experience 10x better . We got a couple few free bits as it being my birthday . He also recommended a different dish that my dad hadn’t tried yet. It was DELICIOUS! I recommend eating here . Amazing service . Very professional!

Excellent food and service! Ordered catering from Royal Tandoori for a family party. Customer service from Abdul Rahman and rest of the team was top notch 👍 Food was delivered on time and hot on the day. Portions were very generous and being Bangladeshi, I can definitely vouch for their food being authentic. Everything tasted great and we had a lot of people asking about the catering. We had a delivery from Royal Tandoori this evening and all I can say in one word "Fantastic" Every dish we had (listed below) was the best we have every had, out of this world in flavour... Will never ever use any other Curry house... We had: Chicken Tikka Biryani Chicken Tikka Masala Onion Bhaji Garlic Rice Garlic Naan All absolutely delicious!!!

Not happy at all. Bottles of cobra was warm. Got given the wrong starter, was told I'll have to wait for it to be cooked if I wanted the starter I ordered. Waiter tried to pass over a large tray of pickles for poppadoms across a wide table instead of walking them round to the other side of table and spilt it all over my hand. Being offered 1/2 a larger as a good will gesture don't wash with me

Fantastic quality of food. Taste is absolutely outstanding. We were guests once-evening to remember. Their take away portions are huge-bigger than competitors. We will be back soon.

Kept driving past this place and decided to pop in one evening with my partner to try and really glad we did. Portions were generous (we couldn’t finish it all) and the tandoori king prawns were the tastiest, juiciest i’d ever had. Really recommend. Staff were friendly and attentive too, will defo be back for more tandoori that’s for sure (:

My partner has been coming here many many years. We now live in Essex but still travel back here as in our opinion it is the best Indian food we have had. The staff are genuinely brilliant the restaurant is always clean as are the bathrooms the plates cutlery glasses are always spotless. The food is just delicious it has never disappointed I would strongly recommend you go and try it for yourself. On a Sunday there is a buffet which is fantastic give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

It was a total disaster!!! Never going to visit this restaurant ever again! Went for a family dinner on 19th July 2023, after waiting for 30 mins to give the order we found a mouse under the table! It makes me question how much effort they put to clean the restaurant? After finding the mouse we called the manager, they said the manager was not there! I had to speak to one of the servers and he gave me an excuse that he just join which doesn’t make sense if you are substituting the manager for the day!!! We had to leave immediately! I hope they look into this matter because this is not acceptable!!!!

The food was very tasty and the portions very generous, not too spicy and well presented. We were the only customers so atmosphere and ambience were slightly lacking but service was excellent.

The restaurant was clean and the table was set up nicely. There was a lot to choose from the menu and one of the waiters was very helpful with helping us decide what to get according to what type of taste we liked. He was very friendly. The service from the other servers was decent. The food did take quite a long while to arrive however it was worth the wait. There was plenty of food and the portions were large. It was very delicious. I would just wish that the food could be prepared faster as we did wait quite a while.

It was great to see a totally different menu from the normal Indian version. I can thoroughly recommend the Chicken Tomasha, it comes with fried naan’s. Best Indian meal I’ve had in years.

We've been once before even though we live across the river. It was a Tuesday, so not exactly a busy night for most Indian restaurants, but even though they were staffed accordingly, the service was excellent and the food even more so. I had the Chicken Jakuzee, which comes surrounded by fried Naan and it was simply stunning. Very impressed with the whole evening. Highly recommend.

Arrived as a solo eater, it was a quiet night, I was welcomed warming. Started with pompadom’s, a chutney tray and the obligatory bottle of beer, no draft this evening. The Pompadoms were fresh and the beer was cold, there was also a great selection on the chutney tray. For a starter I ordered chicken tikka. It arrived on a sizzler, with fresh onions. The chicken melted in your mouth, perfectly cooked with the fried onions and fresh side salad making great accompaniments. For my main I let the maitre d’ chose the main dish based on my likes, with myself ordering special rice, chana masala (chick peas) and a Keema Nan. The main dish ended up being king prawns in a rich medium hot sauce (madras) with onions and pepper cooked on a sizzler. The prawns had been shelled except for the tails, they were delicious and flavourful, the sauce was spicy, but not to hot and the vegetables made it like a king prawn Jalfrezi sizzler. I didn’t finish it all, eyes bigger than stomach came to mind, but absolutely delicious. Service was great, welcoming, comfortable and friendly. I must shout out a special thanks to Abdul and Abid who cooked the meal All in all a great meal and evening which didn’t break the bank. I will be back.

Good Indian food in the "Stone" area of dartford. Their cook, Abdul does make some good dishes. Try the Saag-Chicken (chicken cooked with green leafy veggies) and chicken tikka curry. The service is decent.

Fantastic dinner - the chutney selection for the papadums was sensational especially that pickled chilli! Had the garlic chili chicken, aloo ghobi and chana massala - would have been enough for two people the portions were really generous! Also very friendly people on the night, very welcoming.

Absolutely appalling service. We order minimum 2 times a week from here. Always spend £30 plus. Tonight we ordered and ordered extra as kids was eating with us. I found plastic cooked in to my Nan bread!! Rung them and they refused to refund me - going to report to local health inspector too!!!

Finished an evening at work and wanted a light snack/starter. Rudely told at the bar without even a hello, that I won't be served for a starter because a starter is not worth their time. Absolutely disgusted. Unwelcoming. Unfriendly.

This one is the best in the whole of gravesend and Dartford. Honestly knocked it out the park and cheaper than others too. Had a dansak Masala Naans Rice And poppadoms Mint sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted, and the red sauce is to die for. Everything was perfect and turned up with in 45 mins piping hot and not many people deliver to us in Longfield. Will 100% be our new Indian from now on and cannot recommend enough! Thanks guys 👍

Had a meal for 2 tonight, food was amazing and couldn't fault the service. The waiter (didn't catch his name) suggested another dish for me to try (as I said I always have the same) and it was lovely. Will definitely be returning very soon.

Very unsatisfactory experience.. not at all Authentic Indian food.. Got hair from rice.. highly adulterated food with colour.. buffet choices is limited.. very expensive bottle water😑£4.50… when mentioned about the bad experience, staff was least bothered…. 😏😏😏Worth a visit again😏😏😏

I am giving one star because that is the least one to add a review. They are taking 9.95 buffet for under 10 who hadly eat anything. Per head 12.95 for buffet with less choices and lot of food colour in the curry. Not an Indian authentic taste or flavour. I doubt the nutritional value of the food and its safety. Real indian people won't recommend this as a real Indian restaurant for a buffet.

The food was very worse. The starters were added something that reduced our appetite. Rice was so dry. There was lit of colour added in the food. Found hair in food. Bottle water was £4.5 Huh. Worst experience. Thanks will visit again.😏
