Great service and excellent food

A really disappointing meal. The most bland and non authentic Indian meal we have ever tasted. Food was nothing like the description on the menu. £3.50 for a can and half of coke seemed a little steep! Staff were friendly. Regulars looked after, but newcomers effectively ignored. It wasn't the most expensive meal but definitely not worth what we paid! A real shame!

This place is an absolute gem - my favourite Indian restaurant in the area The service was brilliant, couldn't ask for friendlier staff The food is divine, the salmon tikka is one of the best things I have ever eaten. The mushroom rice is the best I have had, and I have had many! For mains, definitely try one of the chefs recommendations, very authentic and nice amount of heat! Highly recommend this place to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

Booked a table on a whim. It was a toss up between two local Indian restaurants and this one won. The other restaurant looked very shabby. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to learn that none of the coconut based curries were gluten free. I ordered the chicken tandoori biryani. The chicken was a little dry, and the vegtable stew was tepid. Apart from the dissapointing chicken the dish was very moorish. My guest had a chicken passanda; he said it was the best passanda he'd ever eaten. Drinks were a bit pricey £8 for a large bud and over £7 for a cheeky glass of red. Still worth a visit if you're in the area.

Never have i had such an awful experience with any takeaway whatsoever. I’ll begin with the fact that the food was late, but that’s not that big of a deal. The first issue lies with the fact that half the food was either missing or wrong. Missing 3 rices, Naan was wrong. Again i’m a forgiving person i’ve had this before with takeaways and usually quick phone call and it’s sorted. Didn’t receive a refund, new food or anything. They’ve said i can get a discount soon and that’s it. Aswell i’ve never had a worst tasting indian. The chicken tikka masala tasted like milk and tomato paste. Food was barely warm. I’m suprised because the other reviews aren’t negative. Please note i’m not one to have a rant i’ve never written a review for anywhere full stop. Please do yourself a favour and go down to asha in ashurst and get food there. It’s closed on a monday so i took my chance with this place. Never again.

We tried this restaurant as the other reviews were mostly good. But we found there was very little flavour to the food. The madras tasted of curry powder & the tikka was dry & had no flavour. Even the nan was overcooked & dry and crispy. The best thing was the mushroom rice.

Excellent. The front of house was 10/10 very attentive and kept the table clear and learns your name from booking! Perfect! The food was fantastic. I don't like changing my Indian restaurant but I'm so glad I did this time, Well done to the chef(s). With such a fantastic meal and service I was growing worried the bill was going to be massive but it was actually quite acceptable!! Definitely visit again as soon as I can.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with family here celebrating an anniversary. The host and staff were so welcoming and friendly and made it special for us! Our children loved it too. Will come here again and would recommend it!

Have been looking for a good local Indian since we moved down here a year ago, well we finally found it! Really fresh starter, great tasting mains and a fantastic host. The Naans are so thick and fluffy which are a big plus and they even catered to an alteration to one of the dishes just to suit us. All in all an amazing meal and we will be back.

Great place to eat and the staff were great. You can't get better service. We are going again next week.

Went and enjoyed a very tasty Curry tonight.6th September 2023. The nans were to die for certainly home made curry was excellent. Very friendly service. Just couldn't fault the restaurant. Well worth the walk down the high Street. Also very good value. Thank you a lovely meal to end our holiday. Definitely recommend

A restaurant with an exceptionally warm and hospitable team, particularly an employee named Peter from Goa who was truly outstanding. He displayed remarkable kindness, assistance, and a very cheerful demeanor. He served each dish with genuine care and reverence. Peter's joy in welcoming us, as Punjabis, was evident as he engaged in continuous conversation. The quality of food was impressive, and the service matched the standard. Having arrived from Paultons Park, fatigued from our visit, we requested tea, and Peter thoughtfully provided us with delicious masala tea. Highly recommend this place.

The service and food were fantastic, however I am slightly disgruntled that I had been asked if I would like some poppadoms and relish tray before viewing a menu, only to find out that would be charged at £6 for the privilege of which most give away to compliment the meal.

We went to Indian Fusion with a group of friends and wow, it didn’t disappoint! The food was some of the best Indian/Nepalese cooking I’ve ever had and the service was incredible. I can’t remember the name of the young lady who was looking after us but she couldn’t do enough for us! We are relatively local so will definitely be recommending Indian Fusion and we will be back. Thank you for making our reunion such an enjoyable night!

Some of the nicest Indian food I’ve eaten for a while. Great service, good pricing and lovely food. Asked for delivery but was offered 20% off if collected which I didn’t mind doing. Would definitely recommend.

Peter was so amenable and endearing that we will be going again. The food was authentic, beautifully cooked and presented. Very reasonable and we would urge others to spend their Saturday night here too.

We needed an early evening meal, and this place opened at 5:00pm, which was handy. The staff were great and the food was excellent, very tasty with some unusual dishes. We will certainly go again when next in Lyndhurst.

The food here is amazing, Can't explain th vibe out there that gives u a family feeling. The customers out there also are so friendly. Their toilets are clean like legit the cleanest I have ever visited in a restaurant. Their staff having a friendly nature and greeting us the indian way. Coming to the food the spice's reminds me all about India the flavour the texture the deco it's amazing. A beautiful wonderful place to be at. Best place for curry in the new forest

Place an order yesterday. While camping in the new forest just down the road. There was a problem with are card ( online payment settings switched off) had a prompt call from the restaurant and they where very helpful in resolving the issue. Came in and collected the order, to which the gentleman informed us they deliver to campsites ( we stayed at Hollands wood ) food was absolutely gorgeous!!! They where out of dumplings but the suggestion replacement was out of this world !! There website made it so easy to see what you where ordering as it told you what was in every dish. A plus in my book as I can't stand coriander! I totally loved the food and service.... I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was incredible here and the waitress was fantastic. Me and my partner had to start the lamb chops. Main was the prawn chef special curry and jara lamb curry with keema nann and special fried rice. Best food we have had in Lyndhurst with excellent staff. I had a takeaway chana masala and mushroom rice, and it was some of the tastiest Indian food I've had. Food was a little late coming out, but the friendliness of the staff (and the complimentary beer!) certainly made up for this. I would completely recommend this restaurant for takeaway.

Food = WOW Visit date was Thursday 19 August 2021 at 7.30pm 2 adults, 3 kids. Must admit a slight bit of embarrassment here. We nearly didn't make it through the door. Looking at the place from the outside, especially the way the restaurant front was presented, we thought 'this place looks naff'. But we did enter. We believe there was a front of house staffing issues which largely meant one lady was basically doing everything other than cooking the food, which meant service was compromised, but she was brilliantly trying her best to juggle everything, and did so better than 99% of anyone else could have done, not her fault. After a long day the kids were tired (a crash on the M27 meant we couldn't leave Paulton Park for two hours later than planned), we wanted to get some dinner on the way home. Sensing we were perhaps keen to get in and out, and that there was a delay to service because of staff shortage, we were given some complimentary onion bhajis. Delightfully light, not oily or greasy, crisp and with subtle flavours, incredible! My children usually hate them, this time they all thought they were amazing. The interior decor ... Nice tables, nice plates and cutlery, very clean, candles on tables (but not tacky ones), but like the shop front the decor just needs a bit of thought as it is quite garish. But the food..... Oh the food was probably some of the best Indian cuisine I have tasted, and that includes a visit to Mumbai too. The flavours and consistency were bliss. The rice was a generous serving and so so tasty. The garlic naan bursting with garlic, sprinkled with (I believe) coriander. My wife is a fan of Goan food and there was a bit of that to choose from too, again absolutely amazing. I had the lamb jalfrezi and which had the just right combination of heat, flavours, and left a lovely tingly sensation in your mouth afterwards (in a nice way!). Even the korma and chicken tikka masala for the kids were amazing. It's a shame i was just visiting here from Essex on holiday as I wish this was my local restaurant where I live at home. Next time I'm visiting here, I will be making a reservation that's for sure. So, put them paint work and decor aside, this place let's it's food do the talking. I seriously suggest you check this place out.

Excellent. I went there with my wife and 2 boys. The staff we really friendly and super helpful. They came out to take our order specifically to ensure they check the correct level of spice for us to ensure we will enjoy it. All the dishes were excellent and we all enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended and would go again for sure.

On our way back from Bournemouth and wanted a pit stop to avoid traffic. This restaurant was an excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. Although the reviews were really good, we had no big expectations as have been disappointed with restaurants having good reviews before. But a totally different and amazing dining experience here. Top notch food, pleasant ambience and the most welcoming service staff. There was a good variety and all the dishes we ordered were delicious and definitely ‘Indian’. Would highly recommend if you visit Lyndhurst or anywhere nearby.

5 of us went for dinner whilst on new forest trip. Excellent food,we had chicken caffreal,amritsari fish,butter naan,peshawari naan amongst many other dishes. Every dish was out of the world,being an indian myself every dish tasted authentic like my home in india and much better than the other indian restaurant passage to india nearby. The husband and wife duo were the real star,gave us some lovely tadka daal on the house and baileys at the end on the house. Their behaviour made us sad to leave them. Also the ambience was very cozy and lively. Too sad they were closed the next day or else we would probably had three meals a day there is possible. Will surely come back when we visit again.

This is a great place if you want to try and enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. Food and ambience both are overall very good. Starters were delicious, especially Amritsari fish was just amazing. Really liked it. Staff were very nice and polite. They asked us how we would like to have our dishes and then they made it accordingly. Would love to try again definitely.

If you are coming to New Forest and Lyndhurst is on the way, very strongly recommend this restaurant if you want to have AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD. This review comes from a person who is born and brought up in India. You need to tell them if you want to have "Indian spicy" as otherwise they would cater to the British mild spicy variant of food. The owners were really nice, hospitality was just awesome. They even offered Daal and the drink at the end "on the house". We came in hungry and were just licking our fingers from each item we were having. Must visit if you really want to understand how Indian hospitality feels like and Indian food tastes like (tell them from before).

Amazing And Authentic Indian food. Staff is very polite and caring. We never expected to find such great Indian food outside London. Staff took great care and asked us how we would like our food and made sure we were enjoying our meal. All the starters and curries were made to perfection. Would definitely recommend as a must visit if anyone is visiting new forest.

Worst Indian food I have ever tried, will not visit here again. Not authentic at all. Highly disappointed with the food, everything is sweet and far from how the listed items should taste. I tried the spicy dishes listed including pepper and chilli chicken, prawns, fish and vegetarian dishes here; each one was pathetic without any hint of chilli and abundance of sugar. Please don't label this Indian or name the dishes as u have in ur menu as u r misleading ur customers. If u r looking for cream with sugar u r at the right place. The only thing authentic here was rice and papadam!

Searching for an Indian hotel and this showed up on Google, gave a call and we're able to reserve a table. The ambience is bright and pleasing. We tried the Special platter and lamb shank to name a few and it was astounding. The staff there are quintessential. The decision of trying the place proved gratifying. Will definitely visit the place again the next time we visit Lyndhurst.

Worst Indian food in Lyndhurst! Dishes we had were non spicy, bland, at times, even sweet. This is not an Indian restaurant, at best you can call it maybe a British curry place! Try the nearby "Passage to India" if you are looking for authentic Indian food!
