Been using it Indian for 25 years tonight is one of the best lamb Jalfrezi ever had in the country

Lovely food and friendly staff I'm from Nottingham i like a bit more hot spice with a little bit more garlic with my madras but that's my opinion chicken was spot on

Food was delicious! Staff was AMAZING! and my boys had a freebie penguin ice creams for take out. The owner was very kind and takes time to have a chat with us, thank you so much. Highly recommended!

Excellent quality of food, service also excellent and very friendly. Staff are always helpful in discussing dishes and any dietary changes needed and suggestions for accompaniments.

Best curry house there is locally. I've been going for 37 years and never ever had a poor meal. Service is amazing and very friendly and highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the area or someone local who just simply fancies a curry.

Having been to many curry houses over the years, I always enjoy a curry at the kyber. Always friendly and always had a lovely curry. It’s a must if you’re in the area 👍

Ordered for delivery for the first time, reviews seemed really positive. Professional and pleasant person I spoke to over the phone. However, food was very disappointing. I’ve lived in the area 20+ years and tried 8/9 different local curry houses, and my father and I both thought this was one of the lowest quality takeaways we’ve ever had. The two different chicken curries tasted like they were from the same base, lacking in any fresh flavours or any fresh tasting ingredients all round. Won’t bother trying again, way off the mark.

Khyber Pass is such a cosy, warm and friendly family run local restaurant. Although, I do sense a lack of passion for quality here. The king prawns looked and felt like had been run over back and forth by a lorry and the chicken pieces were like bullets. The samosas were rather sad as if to say find me if you can. Too much sugar in everything, even the yoghurt! So the chef would need a kick up the bum if he were in a Southall cook off. Otherwise, it's a really decent local.

Don’t bother booking a table as you’ll get chased off the table after 1.5 hours for others waiting at the bar for a table. The majority of that time was spent waiting for our main course. Having been the last table in our area to be served their main, although we were the first to be seated, we were asked to hand over the table as our mains were being cleared, not offered another drink or menu for dessert, yet others were still seated around us. Pity as it was our first time trying Khyber Pass, after going to another local Indian for the last couple of years we thought we would try it. Not any better than our other Indian, we won’t be back.

Our first time at our new local restaurant and definitely not our last. Thank you to Charley, who made us feel so welcome at the start and all of the wonderful staff at this establishment. The lamb bhuna and chicken Tikka masala were absolutely delicious for the mains, as well as the prawn puri to start, pilau rice and chilli Naan. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

On the evening we went, the restaurant was full. We had reserved a table. The service was a little slow but the Biriani was lovely and my friends enjoyed the meat dishes too. Also the Kingfisher beer was very good. This is the traditional British Indian restaurant. There are not many vegetarian dishes

We love this place. We moved away 16 years ago and are back visiting friends. I couldn’t believe it but not only is the food still superb but Ali remembered us and our old address. Such lovely people.

We went in on a very busy evening and understandably the service was slow but the manager made it up with good behavior and constant checking on us. The food was decent but not great I was expecting better for a 4.5 rated restaurant. My order was vegetarian and hence the review is strictly for vegetarian dishes. The ambience of the restaurant is great and service is also excellent.

The food is fine however the staff are always trying to overcharge you. The chef is outrageously rude and noisy for no reason. They are always coughing and spluttering out the back of the kitchen which frankly is disgusting.

Long time since we’ve had an Indian takeaway. This didn’t disappoint, tasty, good quality, hot and overall great value.

Simply put, we love the Khyber Pass and have only ever had excellent meals here. The staff here - headed up by the lovely Mr Khan and Ali - are so friendly and attentive. The food is great. Best curry in Walton, eat-in or take-out, without question.

After reading such high reviews we visited with our daughter living in the area. We were very disappointed with the quality and taste of food. Poppadoms were stale. Chutneys were old and tasteless. Lime chutney was ok. Main courses, passanda was asestically repulsive, the flavour wasn't like a typical passanda. The tikka masala tasted like wine. Couldn't eat that. The balti was bland. We asked for banana frittas which were not on the menu, but they kindly supplied. I don't think the chef had ever made them before. Mushy, tasteless and full bananas, not frittas. Staff were nice, location and interior was nice. Just wouldn't recommend on food taste. Date of visit: December 2022

Used to come here more often, but haven’t been for a couple of years. They still remembered me. The food was excellent, but the portions were too large for me. The service, well, they had so many waiters there was overkill, so faultless. Must go more often.

Stopped on way home from work for food. Very nice and enough to last 2 days. The main was slightly different to what I've had in other places, bitter, almost burnt tasting, shame as its my go to. But on the whole nice food.

Just been to khyber pass pick up takeaway, hate to say it but no flavour in the meal, sauce like water no body to it, chicken hard but i think cooked before then given to us i.e. not fresh shame as I have been before and had no problems ? Tommy

The food from the Khyber Pass is consistently delicious, We have delivery mostly, and last night's food was exceptional (a forgotten item was delivered promptly). Decent size portions all packed with flavour. I hadn't thought to write a review before because it's take away. It's a licenced restaurant with friendly service.

I wrote the review below 5 years ago. It is still my favourite local restaurant. Since the pandemic I have had quite a few takeaways but with restrictions lifted it is a real treat to eat in. Many friends have enjoyed meals here. Highly recommended Absolutely fab restaurant. Lovely food, great service at an excellent price. If you want something a special way ask and if it is not quite as expected say. Ali and Mr Kahn want to please.

Our favourite Indian restaurant. Husband has been eating here for over 30yrs. Food and service excellent. Have moved 300 miles away, but always visit when we come south to see family.

Avoid at all costs, don't waste your money here. I cannot understand how this place has got such good reviews. Ordered a takeaway this evening and have literally just thrown it all in the bin and ordered a pizza express :-( The prawn puree was swimming in oil and the bread was so oily and gross too. The chicken tikka was completely disgusting, I couldn't even call it chicken, clearly frozen and not defrosted properly, it was like stringy jelly. AWFUL. Most unauthentic Indian food I've ever had. Hopefully this is not the norm

We asked several times for a jug of water,how difficult can that be!! after 4 of us having demolished 2 bots of wine, some of us wanted to go into water, food was ok, but not fantastic.

I order the kind of thing comes with mango chukney, yogurt and mint, lime chuckney I think and another thing can’t remember the name and before I was touching I asked how much it was then the lady said £0.25 and I was quite happy about the price, then we decided to order the starter and the main which was chicken biriani hot and lamb biriani mild. Then the main arrived and I asked where it was my starter and apparently they didn’t wrote it at all. Then they said was going to arrived soon and we said to leave it. We start to eat when we realised my main or lamb biriani didn’t taste at all of lamb. So I decided to complain because I just had a bite and I realised was not biriani because came with chicken rice for me and for my friend who order chicken biriani. I complain and at the end in total was £22 but I was going to pay £2 less, but I felt unfair and discriminated for paying £2 instead of the total of the thing I order. The guy came and said I order another thing instead when I didn’t. Even my friend said I order lamb biriani but they were very rude saying I order another thing. I went to the desk and I ask a old guy if he was the manager and he said ‘yes’ when another guy said he was the manager so I explained and I was still not happy. At the end, I didn’t pay because I was not happy because I was expecting something different and then the manager and the team said to my friend to not bring me back here which is very very silly and to be honest? Is sad because I will not definitely come back to this restaurant for the bad service and for the professionalism.

This is my regular curry house and its fantastic! The place I was using beforehand were watering down their sauces to save money I think, but Khyber Pass always packs their curries with proper punch!

Went in after a charity brave the shave, its a busy Saturday night, we had booked for 6 or 8 of us ended up with 12. Staff not phased at all re arranged tables and seating to get us all in. Brilliant service and attention all the time. Food was very good atmosphere 1st class. Thanks Mr Khan and all your staff , even supported the charity by passing round our collection box.

This was our first visit to Khyber Pass and we weren't disappointed. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Nice ambiance. We ordered the non veg thali which was great as we got to enjoy 4 smaller dishes along with bread. I would highly recommend visiting. We will definitely go back again. Great local restaurant!

I keep forgetting how good the Kyber Pass is. The food is outstanding. Finely balanced spiced meals show that the chef here really knows what he is doing. The variety of meals is great too, allowing you to be adventurous or stick to firm favourites. The service is great too, friendly and taking great pride in the whole dining experience. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Hadn’t been for a while and decided to head back for a change from the curry house we normally go to which is closer to home. Glad to report that it was as good as ever and well worth the bit of effort to pop down the road. Chicken tikka dhansak was absolutely superb, and other dishes friends had were also spot on, and the usual exceptional and friendly service, will be back soon.

Decided to have a mid week Indian take away as a treat which we don’t often do. Extremely helpful & friendly assistant and delivery assistant. However it was rather tasteless . The coconut Naan was gritty also... maybe from the fire pit but not experienced that before. I’m sorry Khyber Pass - overall not a good meal I’m afraid
