The best restaurants serving Indian food in Cheshire West and Chester North West

While the starter (Seekh kabob ) was reasonable, the Mains mutton Kadai was nothing but BOILED meat in a onion and tomato gravy, and absolutely tasteless meal. Strangely the establishment does not provide a VAT receipt nor did the sole server even have a standard credit card receipt . A very disappointing meal

I really love it here but i can't believe it is closing and becoming a kabab place. Now where am i going to get my Indian food now.

Great spot with lovely food. Poppadoms can be spicy or plain which is nice. We had a korma and a dhansak with rice and cheesy naan. Average score is because they tried to palm the pickle tray off on us without telling us you had to pay for it.

Always fantastic food from this place you’d be stupid to order from anywhere else in Chester as it honestly can’t be beaten for quality.

Hubby and I popped in here on the off chance and even though it was really busy we were accommodated, offered a choice of table and made to feel welcome. The food was delicious, particularly the warm popadoms and pickle and the freshly made nan bread. The main course portions were so large that we had to request a doggy bag and the food was just as delicious the following day! Although we are not local, the next time we are in the area we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the Chicken Makhani lid wasn’t on and spilt all over our vegetarian dish (biryani) which was thrown away. The makhani had to be served by slicing the paper bag at the bottom. The mixed madras was perfect!

Blown away by the quality of the food! Granted we did wait longer than we’ve previously experienced, and I did (reluctantly) query the wait but when the food arrived all we can say is that the wait was most certainly worth it!! I have never tasted Indian food as outstanding as at The Rasoi and will be back again that’s for sure. The only criticism is aimed at some of the guests - the tables are set very closely and a group of 4 who were next to us were being (inconsiderately) loud and oblivious to ourselves and several guests at surrounding tables tutting and giving them death stares!! I’m totally here for us all having a good time when out but we couldn’t hear each other or even have a conversation - luckily the delicious food more than made up for their lack of consideration to others trying to enjoy a wonderful dining experience 😄

Both curries tasted exactly the same. When I told the lad this he made a non-committal noise but after the meal the manager behind the bar came over and explained that they’d run out of one of the “pastes”?! So - they were the same. Would have been better to have been advised beforehand as mine was far too hot for my personal taste. Nice people, nice surroundings, average food, poor communication. By the time you’ve added rice to your dishes, curries are becoming expensive. Let’s face it, we don’t have to add on £3-4 for potatoes and vegetables if we go to a pub. This needs to change.

We got a takeaway with delivery - food was awesome and delivery not far off expected time - would order from here again no problem.

Ordered online for pick up. All the food was tasty, good quality and plentiful. Plenty of meat in the dishes and all very tasty. Only problem was that we had too much food to eat in one session. We've never had a bad meal from here so give it a try you won't regret it

Very poor main course. Makhani and Tikka Masala same overly coconut sauce except Madala was bright red and Makhani appeared to have grated cheese on top! Shame as chicken pakoras were good.
