Hubby and I popped in here on the off chance and even though it was really busy we were accommodated, offered a choice of table and made to feel welcome. The food was delicious, particularly the warm popadoms and pickle and the freshly made nan bread. The main course portions were so large that we had to request a doggy bag and the food was just as delicious the following day! Although we are not local, the next time we are in the area we will definitely be back!

We had a take away from Slim India and the food was ready at the time specified. The food was hot and remained so till I got it home. The meal was delicious and portion size was vey good. We have had take away from here previously as well as eating in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will certainly have a take away from Slim India again as well as eating in.

Surprisingly good onion bhaji, but most of the other food lacked flavour. Madras was simply intense chilli powder spice and nothing else. Hard to recommend a standard British Indian place going through the motions when there is a wealth of other Indian options showing more invention and character, and serving much better food, in the vicinity.

I really love it here but i can't believe it is closing and becoming a kabab place. Now where am i going to get my Indian food now.

Unfortunately, the Chicken Makhani lid wasn’t on and spilt all over our vegetarian dish (biryani) which was thrown away. The makhani had to be served by slicing the paper bag at the bottom. The mixed madras was perfect!

While the starter (Seekh kabob ) was reasonable, the Mains mutton Kadai was nothing but BOILED meat in a onion and tomato gravy, and absolutely tasteless meal. Strangely the establishment does not provide a VAT receipt nor did the sole server even have a standard credit card receipt . A very disappointing meal
