Sorry to say that I was disappointed. Food was nice but I’ve not saved the left overs for tomorrow

Ordered through Uber eats and the food never arrived, waited over 2 hours before calling to be met with someone on the other end of the phone that could barely speak English. On Uber it said my order had been delivered which it clearly hadn't, they don't use Uber delivery drivers they use their own. I ended up putting the phone down because I wasn't getting anywhere and then was called back by someone who spoke better English. He claimed they never received and order from my address then said he did but only 10 minutes ago. I told him it was ordered at 5.10 the time was now nearly 8.00 and he told me it would take 45 mins to an hour to be delivered to which I replied I've already waited 3 hours cancel the oreder. I had to go through Uber to get a refund. They lied to me all the way over the phone. Shockingly bad service. Food has gone downhill anyway and I wouldn't recommend this place!

unfortunately because the food came late, not the drivers fault as she couldn't find our address as her satnav took her to the wrong location, our food although tasty was not as hot as we'd expect. We had treated ourselves as it is our wedding anniversary and we have always enjoyed Chokri. it's a shame that our experience wasn't the best but we do understand that problems occur

Great Indian takeaway, really great food.

For somebody who orders on a regular basis the food is always late however not almost 25 minutes late, because of this the majority of the food was cold so not particularly nice. Wasn’t overly happy with how the man on the phone handled it or the man delivering the food. Unsure if I’ll be ordering again which is a shame as usually the food is lovely.

Food is delicious but when it arrived one of the containers was smashed open. Absolute mess everywhere. Shame, as usually very good from there.

First time ordering, will definitely order again

said 35 to 50 for delivery. after ordering that immediately went to 70 - 90 mins. it's now 105 and no food. have rang twice. food normally lovely seriously it's almost 2 hours now.

Order took and hour and 40 minutes. 40 minutes later than the end delivered time. Restaurant had clicked delivered before it even had been. Blamed it on a driver running off mid shift? Missing sauces and salad for starters.

We ordered spicy food but it was not spicy.

I have ordered regularly from this Indian and its our go to place when we are craving this type of food. Its normally fast and hot when it arrives but the past two times iv ordered from here it's been late, first time by over and hour and was 40mins late again tonight, the pilau rice had burned bits in which for a boiled rice is quite bizarre and there was a strange offwhite runny liquid on the packaging for the chicken pakoras, its always been a little greesy from here but everything was dripping in oil, having to wash my hands after dishing out our meals. After 65mins had gone by I phoned the restaurant to ask where our food was, and was told 10 mins...another 40 mins go by then our food finally arrived. Its always been great but the past few times I have ordered its put us off. Sorry chokri but you have some improvements to make .

Food was all really oily, everything in my kitchen is now stained with overly coloured and oily food. Nothing tasted great it was just okay and disappointing

The food arrived later than the estimated time and the delivery missed the two bottles of diet coke that were ordered. Will be requesting a refund. The food was good just a shame about the incorrect order and late arrival.

I ordered the meet at 4:45pm to be delivered at 18:30. The meal arrived 30 minutes late and the order was wrong . The food was very very poor quality and flavourless . The butter chicken was NOT butter chicken ! . Do not use this restaurant. Complete waste of money and 30 minutes late and cold

Ordered a take away for the first time and won't be ordering again. I think the naan breads were left over from Saturday night, there were dry, burnt and tasteless, like eating cardboard. The mains were OK but nothing special

The food was good however we received a different dish instead of the butter chicken we ordered. The dish we received had big peppers and onions- not sure the name of this dish. I didn’t call the restaurant to complain as I had two kids who couldn’t wait longer and I would have had to drive back to collect the correct dish.

Takeaway is always superb and plentiful. Very rarely late with delivery and always correct.

Food was freezing cold and stale! Rice was dry and disgusting. The mango chutney had also turned and was inedible!!! Ended up in the bin! Called the restaurant and they were rude and unhelpful! Ended up having to make beans on toast!!!!!!!! They were also late and I had to call!!

I waited over 2 hours for the food and the food wasn’t hot when it arrived. I was told it was the rains fault for the delay, but just read another review blaming the rain so seems an old chestnut. I’m pretty sure the takeaway is under new management too, they’re always late and the foods not the same as it use to be. It use to be really nice from there? * Be honest with your customers, it goes a long way. * Sort the food standards out. Maybe get your new chefs to have a chat with the previous chefs ones for tips on flavour or you’re gonna lose a majority of your customers. Constructive criticism not to harm to help!

Food late. When I called the takeaway to ask where it was, he was very short and rude on the phone. Food arrived. One of the meals had spilled all over the bag. Onion bhajis and samosas cold. Won't order again unfortunately

Usually our go to Indian, and food is usually great and delivered early! Knowing its a Saturday and they are usually busier than normal I placed my order at 6pm to try and beat the rush....with an estimated delivery time of 35-50mins. At 7.40pm I chased the order up and they said it was on the way. Order finally turned up at 8.15pm. Busy or not, 2 hours is too long to wait for an order!!!

Cold food, delivery driver ‘broke down’ so had to go collect it myself. Chef very apologetic which was appreciated but overall not good.

My shik kebab and samosa were overwhelmed with garlic salt.. making my food inedible , I rang up to tell them and got an incredibly argumentative man. I wasn’t ringing to get free food or money back .. just to let him know it tasted awful Very disappointed with the food and more disappointed with the response from the staff. All I can taste is garlic salt.. Indian food obviously needs garlic but not to be ruined by garlic salt

Food was ordered at 19:42, arrived at just gone 22:00. Awfully late delivery. When the food arrived it was fine but the late delivery had ruined our night. 22:00 is too late to be eating food not long before going to sleep.

I chose to pay for my order with a split of online credit and cash. When I arrived to collect my order, the staff wouldn’t acknowledge that I had already paid £10 online credit and tried several times to charge me the full amount in cash. They didn’t agree that I had already paid £10 of the balance online even though the just eat order receipt stated the amount owed in cash (less £10). They then ignored me for 5 minutes whilst I was trying to talk/explain to them. Great service guys 👍🏻

Always great authentic Indian food, flavoursome, and good portions, one of the best Indian Takeways in Northwich, never had a bad service or food..

Out of town and was looking for a curry to eat in the van. Phoned 6 or 7 bout half ten and all saying shut. Chokri said yes so I ordered chicken balti, lamb chops, saag paneer which is spinach and cheese and a peswari naan. The lamb balti was decent with big chunks of chicken, the saag paneer was tasty seasoned well and was like a little curry in its self. And the naan bread was excellent and soft and fresh and brilliant as a spoon for for dipping in the curry and spinach dish. The lamb chops tasted nice but we're a bit chewy and the meat sporadic around the bone. But overall I enjoyed it and would recommend . And has a open kitchen to watch your food being cooked which it's open and transparent .

Late delivery, the food was still hot and worth the wait.

Two hours for delivery and had a curry missing from the order.

Food was excellent as always, delivery an hour late so two stars and service is a single star as they failed to notify that there was going to be a delay due to staff failure to arrive using the excuse of roads not being gritted. For context I would also point out that the order was placed before opening for later delivery, order was confirmed on restaurant opening at 5pm with delivery scheduled for 5:45pm it would be reasonable to assume that such an order would be one of the first to be completed, unfortunately at 6:15pm restaurant called to enquire as to status of order to be told about staffing and to please wait 10 minutes, order eventually arrived at 6:54pm a full hour after scheduled time. It is such a shame that a negative review is necessary as this place is by far the best Indian takeaway in the whole area, I do hope that the restaurant learns from this to contact customers and fully explain, also some form of compensation example a starter, side or other as a form of apology goes a long way to maintain customer satisfaction

Food was fine like always but one of the items looked like it had been dropped and half the curry ended up in the bag. Just eat refunded that item without issue though.

Been ordering food from here for years the food has always been really nice no problems order last night to find put prices have gone up which obviously expected with prices going up with everything in UK. But the food was disgusting all the food has been changed too won't be ordering again very disappointed

Inedible lamb, chewy and tough and the chicken was watery and defrosted. Really disappointed sadly

Stopped going for a while as had gone downhill. Started again and had a few good meals. Just had one tonight. Sauces swimming in oil! Spent ages trying to sieve it off before eating. My vindaloo wasn't even as hot as a madras sauce, lame flavour. 50/50 chance if onion bhaji are cooked from fresh. Mint sauce always appears off (Not kept in fridge properly?) Will not be returning now for definite.

Just Eat App, dead easy to use. Food from Chokri was good, Lamb was slightly fatty but I enjoyed it and so did my wife who had Paneer. Would definitely order from Chokri again.

Ordered the set meal for 2, all good except the portions are small including just one single portion of rice between 2 people

Food was barely warm. Dishes were bland and meat was tough as an old bone. Quality has really come down, used to be Chokri was the only Indian I'd order food from as food+price was miles better than the others. I don't think this will be the case any more, doubtful I'll return.

After looking on Just Eat and noted that it had 4.7 out of 5 we decided to order a takeaway last night. Delivery was quicker than advised which was a bonus. We ordereda Chicken Tikka Marsala and a Butter Chicken. Garlic rice and garlic naan. The rice and naan were lovely, could not complain and the sauce around the chicken on both dishes was lovely, but the chicken........... the chicken in the Tikka Marsala has a strange texture, possibly boiled/slimy and very soft, very unlike chicken, and as for the Butter Chicken, it was chewy and hard. I have never had chicken like either of these before and will certainly not go back for another one. Very said and paid over £30 for the pleasure.

Ordered food at 1800hrs approx. It was supposed to arrive at 1910-1930. Rang the restaurant at 1950 they said it'll be there in 10 mins. It still didn't arrive on time. First and last time I order from here.

Food was an hour late but it is new years eve and delivery driver apologised and food was excellent so really good in the end

After not arriving for an hour past the anticipated arrival, my partner drove to the restaurant as noone would pick up the phone. To find out it hadn't even been cooked! And to wait 5 minutes. 20 minutes later our food was ready at 9.30pm and we ordered at 6.30pm. We understand at NYE it could be busier but to not be able to get through on the phone made it worse. The food wasn't even that nice so wasn't worth the wait. Disappointed and won't be ordering again. Please make improves Chokri.

Delivered nearly an hour late, items missing, obviously too busy to handle the orders they accepted.

Chicken in my dishes were dry. We didn’t expect the bones would still be on the lamb in the main dish and the popadoms were rubbery so not good. So disappointed as we spent double we normally do on a take away plus they charge a surcharge of 50p and we tipped the driver a good tip.
