Both curries tasted exactly the same. When I told the lad this he made a non-committal noise but after the meal the manager behind the bar came over and explained that they’d run out of one of the “pastes”?! So - they were the same. Would have been better to have been advised beforehand as mine was far too hot for my personal taste. Nice people, nice surroundings, average food, poor communication. By the time you’ve added rice to your dishes, curries are becoming expensive. Let’s face it, we don’t have to add on £3-4 for potatoes and vegetables if we go to a pub. This needs to change.

Friendly staff well organised fresh warm food with good quality meat and vegatables. A good split of mild medium and spicy food.At £13.95 for an adult and £9.95 per child plus drinks it was all round good value. I would recommend to everyone.

We visited on a Sunday for the buffet, it was around 7pm. The rice was stuck together and almost cold, the choice of food wasn't too bad although the curry's were not very warm at all. Plates were cold poppadoms very greasy indeed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We used to be regulars, but this is the third bad experience in only a short while so we won't be going back

So since Covid my partner went off curry ( I live very close to an extremely hit and miss Indian but don’t want to ruin nice people’s business). We had a last minute meal with my parents, in my memory I’ve never had a bad meal here, I’ve only ever been to one better Indian (in my life). I used to always tell her the room doesn’t make you feel like it’s a night out, which with the new included booths I now swallow my words, just an amazing jalfrezi, we shared three meals between four which was just right. This will probably become an every other week affair for us we liked it so much, brilliant!

I went here as have been told it's so nice, it's not... The staff are miserable and only spoke 2 words, "Drinks?" And "Bye". We went for the buffet and I have to say the starters were great but I chose the chicken tikka masala for my main and it was simply awful, pink slop best described it, no taste and not the normal tikka masala I normally eat. Maybe I chose the wrong curry but to be honest it still should have been the same standard that I have had else where. Will never eat there again.

We went for the Sunday Buffet and wish we hadn’t bothered!!!When we arrived it was empty and we were told to sit but then another member of staff stood in our way and aggressively asked what we wanted!!! I said table for 2 please and again was told to SIT THERE!!Empty tables hasn’t even been cleared and we were given 2 plates and just left to our own devices, 20 minutes later after we had got our starters and popadoms we were asked “what drinks” and when they arrived he pretty much stood there expecting my boyfriend to get up and take them off him. We got our mains and as we like to try different curries, we asked for a new plate so not to mix the sauces/dips from the starters, and we were given a new plate along with a very dirty look and a snide comment of “one plate only per visit” I asked if I could have a small drink of water and was tutted at, this water never arrived even though I asked twice more. I went up to pay the bill and the manager asked if it was ok, I replied I didn’t like the dirty looks off staff and that I shouldn’t be made to feel bad for asking for a clean plate for my main meal as I wanted to try a tiny bit of all their dishes without sauces mixing together, the manager got right in my face and replied.... “you want many plates you go ‘The Indian’ down the road they do many plates” “here you get one” I just laughed and said your very rude for a manager no wonder your staff are miserable! He told us never to come back if we don’t like a one plate only buffet!!! How rude for a manager, I think him and his staff need to smile, be welcoming and learn that customers would like a new plate for the main meal bit of the buffet as we were not the only ones wanting this. I have never felt so uneasy while eating, with dirty looks and being stared at and slagged off behind our backs, then as I’m paying for that privilege to be shouted at right in my face!! Sort it out Cheshire Tandoori, yes we will in fact be going to ‘The Indian’ from now on as they know how to treat customers and they like to hand their plates out freely!!!!

We always go the Cheshire tandoori for the buffet on a Sunday, today though we walked out!! On arrival it wasn't overly busy infact had loads of free tables but we were told to sit and wait for some reason. I needed the ladies so popped off while my partner sat waiting, on my return I could tell that my partner was annoyed and that he infact was fuming, the little old waiter who was in charge was very rude to him saying " seat" knowing full well that I had left for the ladies, once I returned he was very rude and showed us to the table and then said "drinks" no " would you like a drink or can you follow me to your table" just very rude customer service... Won't be visiting again for a long time, we went the Indian down the road where we even had air conditioning.

We have been visiting the Cheshire Tandoori for many years. We know the staff and they know us so we get our favourite table, they know our drink order and know what we like to eat so we let them order for us, off the menu. We have had on the very odd occasion a not so great meal (not keen on the Sunday buffet) but last night's was well up there with the best we have come to expect. Not sure what the dishes were called that we had, I think the chef makes them up as he goes along but they were wonderful. Yes, sometimes it gets really busy so the service isn't the quickest but what would you expect? Not the cheapest but we don't mind paying a bit extra for really good food and good service. Can't compare it to anywhere else in Northwich as it's the only place we eat when having Bangladeshi food (note; NOT Indian).

My husband wanted his 50th birthday party at home which I agreed to as long as I didn't have to do a buffet (very time consuming and lots of washing up!) We agreed to order in a take away and last week popped in to Relish to sample some of their food and speak to the staff. Our meal was great and when we explained what we wanted to do for the party nothing was too much trouble. Our order was taken and we arranged for staff to deliver some hot plates to our home an hour before we wanted the food delivering. A few hours before the party started I received a phone call "to put your mind at rest everything is under control and we will see you at 5 pm" and promptly our hot plates arrived, followed shortly afterwards by our food. There was so much more than we had expected and it was really lovely. We had vegan guests and the staff had prepared an option of a vegan curry which was delicious. All our guests commented on what a great idea it was and how nice the food was. The staff then arrived to clear away the hot plates and left us with plenty of left overs which we have packaged up and popped in our freezer to enjoy in the days to come. It was a great level of service from start to finish and we will definitely be returning both for eat in and take away. Thank you so much for all your hard work guys.Christine and Paul Kelly

I have eaten here for many years and have experienced good and slow service but tonight the food was poor as well! so good bye Cheshire never again. Yes it was busy when we arrived and had to wait for table, after a short wait we managed to order poppadoms and main meal. We waited a long time for the poppadoms to arrive then sat and waited and waited for the main course. Everyone else around us received their food some who arrived and ordered after us even managed a starter and main meal before ours arrived we complained only to be told it was next. by the time it arrived we had been there an hour and half and where no longer wanting to eat. My meal was lukewarm and not that nice. We complained when we asked for the bill and told them we would not be returning no attempt was made to offer any reduction in the bill or any real sort of apology they tried to argue that they had not served others before us. Was over charged for the meal. Instead of being charged the price of £7.95 we paid £8.95. There was no mention of the raise when we where asked if we would like the buffet service. When the issue was raised, received verbal abuse off the owner and his staff. Instead of setting the miss understanding amicably, friends and myself where left to pay the bill in an uncomfortable and threatening atmosphere. We wonder how many others have paid this with out realizing and if they have received the same abuse as myself and friends. Not the delightful dinning experience they advertise.

Been to the Cheshire tandoori lots of times before and had a good experience. The last time though was terrible. The staff were rude and bordering aggresive. We waited an hour for our starters and when they came out they looked dry like they had been reheated. The main course came out a good forty minutes later and was worse. I even saw a waiter picking food up off the floor, which he had dropped, and put it back on another diners plate. It makes me feel sick thinking about it. When we said said we were leaving and not paying for the food, both the mains and starters weren't eaten, we were pushed about til we agreed to pay just for the main. First time at Cheshire Tandoori, we were not sure what to expect as we had been told the service was a little lack lustre, however, the service was prompt, food was excellent and the ambience was fine. Main comments are as follows- Chicken pakora was one of the best I have ever had but the starters were all very big, you could easily share.- Rice is quite a big portion, no trouble sharing one between 2 or even 3- Chicken Naga was only reasonably hot and did not have the kick a spice lover would want- Takeaway section of the restaurant is a little bit rowdy on a Saturday night- Tables packed quite closely together so you had to wait until another diner had sat down or squeeze tightly.- Good for a night out with mates but not perhaps family/romantic mealAll in all we would go back again and give it another go.

Loved everything. Nan breads are to die for. Curries are always superb, great quality every time. Sunday buffet is the best in town. The only thing that would make it better is a better wine by the glass offered. Otherwise TOPS

My family often go here for dinner. It is a lovely atmospheric place with beautiful décor and delicious food. I would recommend the Sunday Buffet because it has a range of food with starters, mains and best of all is unlimited!! This buffet is great for the kids because if they don't like what they choose they can simply get something else. Brilliant if you can't decide on what you want.We often go here for celebrations such as birthdays for loved ones or congratulatory events. The staff are brilliant and all are Indian so they can definitely conduct cultural touches in their restaurant. They are absolutely brilliant and are very dedicated to organising brilliant celebrations along with great food and friendly service.

We've been going to The Indian since we moved to Northwich but decided to try The Cheshire Tandoori for a change and were glad we did. The Indian is fine but The Cheshire Tandoori had a more relaxed atmosphere in my opinion, there wasn't the rush to get you out of the door that you get at some restaurants, the waiters actually asked if you were ready for the next course instead of just bringing it over as soon as the plates have been cleared. The menu has a nice variety I had chicken shaskik followed by the chicken naga and both were very tasty the naga being just hot enough without being over hot (spice wise).I'll certainly be going back there from now on.

We moved from Canvey Island in Essex to Cheshire and worried we would not find an Indian as good as our local. However, the chef at our local, Mystery of Spice used to work at the Cheshire Tandoori so we were relieved as we love a good indian. We went on Saturday night and they had big boots to fill. We need not have worried as the food was excellent, the service top notch and we can't wait to return. We ordered our usual of fish korai, madras strength, paratha and tarka dahl. The strength and consistency were perfect. Even though it was a busy Saturday night the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Cheshire Tandoori.

We usually go to The Indian just across the road, but we thought we would give this one a try. I wish we didn’t now. There was no atmosphere and the food was nothing special. The carrots in my main meal where those tinned slimy carrots and tinned peas! Not what you would expect for the price. As the main was pretty disappointing I thought I would treat myself to a desert. I had the chocolate fudge cake which was even more disappointing! The cake was still frozen in the middle and rock hard! The service wasn’t that great either as the waiter forgot our drinks!I will be sticking to The Indian it’s much nicer

Recycle food at £30 a go?? would you be happy with leftovers from a table of 13 nearby?? This restaurant re-serves chutney trays after wiping round the rims of dishes. Seen, observed and recorded. Then ours went to the table next to us.Waiters on speed!!!..... (Trolley dash, Dale Winton).I was nearly burnt tonight as the waiter was doing 70mph in a 30mph. I was nearly burnt tonight if I hadn't had moved my arm. An they were told. Imangine a family of four and your kids were on the outside two chairs, see if sorry was enough then when they are scolded for life due to bad practice.Risk assessment needed!!I don't give reviews lightly. Don't think, act go somewhere else!!!

I went with my partner on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was steadily busy but staff were attentive. Our meal of poppadoms/chutney , starters and a main with a rice and naan with 2 drinks each was a reasonable fifty pounds. The choice of meals on the menu was very large almost overwhelming but that can only be a good thing.

We've been to the Cheshire Tandoori lots of times, mainly to the Midweek Banquet or Sunday Buffet. On the Midweek Banquet, you pay £10.95 and get to choose from most of the normal menu. You get poppadoms/chutney and then can choose a starter, main course, rice or naan and a vegetable side dish from a special menu. Most things are still included on the menu, with the exception of some of the chef's special dishes and king prawn dishes.Food is always tasty, hot and freshly prepared. Service is always very good, and the manager/owner usually comes and says hello every time we go in also. All in all, highly recommended and excellent value, especially if you get the banquet.

We have been on a number of occasions for the Mid Week Banquet which is five courses for £10.95. The food is fabulous and really fresh....there are lots of choice on the Mid Week menu so you are not limited to just a few dishes for each course. Portions are really generous in size - we have one rice and one naan which is plenty for two to share. Service is always brilliant (we have been quite a few times) the staff are always attentive and friendly.

This is my Indian restaurant of choice. Service is always excellent, prices are very reasonable and most importantly the food is excellent.Sundays are a great day to visit as they have a full buffet available. A great opportunity to sample different dishes. The good news too, is that you are never rushed and could probably stay there all day if you so wished.

The service was second to none from the minute you walked through the door. The food was excellent and plenty of it. So much so that I took a 'Doggy Bag' home with me as I couldn't finish it but didn't want to leave it. Well worth it and not at all expensive

We were off to Spain for a week a fancied a curry found this place via trip advisor and we weren't let down found it easily en route to Manchester airport had a warm welcome and decided on the midweek banquet which was excellent value. The food was of good quality and the 5 items included in the price meant it wasn't expensive. It is a bit far to travel normally but would definitely consider again if using the airport for future holidays. Great staff great food

Called in here mid week with a work colleague for the usual 'curry and a pint (or two)!Good selection of starters, mains, sides etc. Opted for the Mid Week special menu which was very well priced and pretty much the same as the main menu. The atmosphere and cleanliness were good (even checked out the toilets!). The food was very tasty and plentiful with good service.I suspect that it would get busy at weekends, but mid week was very relaxed.Nothing to fault realy!

I love Indian food and Cheshire Tandoori does not disappoint. The staff are lovely although my one complaint is that you can sometimes feel that they are lingering near you but I suppose that is because they are making sure everything is okay. The food is lovely and it is the Indian we always go to if we just want something simple like a tikka massala. Please do not judge this place on the Sunday buffet, it in no way reflects the quality of the food the rest of the week. On a Sunday the food feels watered down and thin. I suppose this is just to make it go further. All in all we will definately visit again.

We have been here on many occasions and the food is excellent. Well served. The staff are non too talkative and need to smile a bit more. However I would recommend this restaurant solely because of the good food. Good value for money especially the banquet. We once had a charity function here and it was just as good catering for over a 100 people at one go. Also the Sunday lunch is good too. Same food irrespective of the numbers.

The food and the Cheshire tandoori is always nice and the price is great even if it is a little simple! The Sunday buffet is such good value for money as its all you can eat and the do seem to always change what they offer each week even if its only slightly! Staff are always friendly too which is a bonus!

Cracking takeaway order, just in time for the England v Serbia game. Tasted great and 25% of all takeaway orders. The mint chilli dip is fantastic.

Unfortunately, the Chicken Makhani lid wasn’t on and spilt all over our vegetarian dish (biryani) which was thrown away. The makhani had to be served by slicing the paper bag at the bottom. The mixed madras was perfect!
