The best restaurants serving Indian food in Northumberland North East

We just popped in here off the cuff, staff very friendly and service was spot on. The food was lovely and tasty and reasonably priced. Will definite return when we are back in Blyth

Hopless service again. Can you tell the time waiting 20 min . Why do you serve sit in customer before the people who order over the phone and pay . Crap service

This is the third time visiting Dhamaka for a sit in meal and it did not disappoint yet again! We both tried different options to our usual and were both very impressed. The staff definitely know there stuff, recommending a dish for my husband based on his usual and he loved it. I had the Bengal butter chicken dish which is in Abduls special dishes and it was so full of flavour with just a hint of spice. Service yet again exceptional, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a lovely meal. We would 100% recommend!!

On holiday in area, for second time, used the Spice twice last year and again this week, fantastic tasty Indian food, and reasonably priced. This is one of the best Indian we have ever eaten.

Food was delicious, very well flavoured and cooked well. Staff were all very attentive (and patient - we were quite a noisy lot). They even brought out a free birthday suprise for my grandad

Decided to go to the Magna for a birthday meal with the wife. We were greeted warmly by Suleman, and shown to our seats. After ordering a large red wine and a pint of cobra, suleman asked about our order. On asking for recommendations suleman suggested the chicken bhuna, which I said I would try. After the poppadoms and dips as a starter , the main arrived and was exceptional… a great recommendation, which was throughly enjoyed with mushroom pilau and a keema nan bread and Bombay potatoes. The wife had a chicken makkhani, which was suggested on a previous visit and is now her favourite dish. Always great service and food with a personal touch. Highly recommend this fine cuisine.

Had another great meal. Ad the pickles for starters. I had chicken ajjwan was lush. Hubby had chicken karai. Very reasonable priced and staff very friendly.

We only ever get our Indian takeaways from Morpeth Tandoori. They always answer the phone quickly, take our order no matter how big or small and the food is always ready to collect in a reasonable amount of time. All the food is unreal, the bhajis, the rice, the curries and the naans are all the best we’ve ever had and the portion size is good. Food is always packaged well and is still hot even after a 10 minute journey. We have never had an incorrect order or ever had anything missing which is crazy considering how many times we have ordered from here! Honestly could not recommend a better Indian takeaway and look forward to the next!

Unfortunately, quite mediocre. Table of 5, all currys were very similar in taste and also spicy heat (bearing in mind we had a range from butter chicken to madras). All dishes were very underseasoned which was strange for an Indians, although salt and pepper was on the table (the first time I've seen that in an Indians too, and perhaps due to people requesting it frequently). Indian beers served in Carling glasses (not too fussed about that, but it's the details). I would say that their poppadoms and chutneys were very nice, as were the Tia Maria coffees. But the main event is the curry, and they were a bit of a let down. The service was also a hit 'heavy', items were sometimes slung down on the table which was unnecessary and unpleasant when you're trying to have a relaxing evening. We went here due to receiving a gift card, but now that's used I doubt we'll be back anytime soon as there are other excellent Indian restaurants and takeaways nearby (e.g. Stannington to sit, Stakeford to takeaway).

Exceptional cuisine....went on the servers recomendation of the lamb laziz...omg...it did not disappoint....flavours stunning....lamb so tender it melted in the mouth...staff ....warm friendly extremely helpful....locals of Bedlington....you have a hidden gem of an indian restaurant here....it does not disappoint....1st class !!!
