The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

We had our first order today a takeaway it was absolutely delicious 😋

food was hot and tasty, naan breads were a bit disappointing looked more like wholemeal rather than white fluffy ones.

They need to promote the restaurant more, brilliant food, great takeaways

it's was nice but the vindaloo could of been more hotter other than that's really nice

Chicken Tikka Dansak was too tomatoey and watery with very little flavour. Pashwani Naan was burnt. Onion Bhaji was cold. Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi was dry with no flavour and the sauce was thin as if watered down. Pileau rice was cold. Paneer Shaslick was bland and had absolutely no flavour at all. Bombay Potato was as bland as boiled potatoes in Pasata. The Lime Pickle was just a raw onion salad. The Mango Chutney was goopy jam. To add insult to injury the price was about £8 a head more expensive than other takeaways. When I queried this the man taking our order said it was because they were the best Indian in the Maldon District!!! The irony has not been lost on us. Afterwards, none of us felt like we'd even had an Indian but a bland, lukewarm English dinner. On the plus side, the delivery man was on time and very polite.

wonderful service, wonderful food and this time i got a free bottle of wine well happy. We never go anywhere else for are Indian

I live in Woodbridge but use this restaurant for a relaxing night out. The staff are really friendly and appreciate my needs. Being on your own is enough on its own yet alone when you want to go out and enjoy yourself.

Al llegar nos llevaron a una mesa con no cubiertos. Un miembro del personal, literalmente tiró 8 cuchillos y tenedores en la mesa para establecer allí. No hay servilletas o cualquier otra cosa. Nos quedamos muy impresionados por el comportamiento grosero. Nos levantamos para ir al buffet y me dijeron a sentarse y que íbamos a ser traído entrante. Un poco de comunicación hubiera estado bien! El primer plato era dos cubos de pollo cebolla un duro correosos bhaji samosa y un pequeño. No me gusta la cebolla bhajis o samosas, así que cuando voy a un buffet es porque me gusta elegir lo que quiere comer. El buffet no era mejor. Fue limitada y la carne era duro y difícil. No volveremos muy pronto. No podía salir de allí lo suficientemente rápido.

Extremely rude on phone when I called up to ask about things on the menu, wanting to order. Didn't order and called up bay of Bengal whom were amazing with their customer service

We ordered a delivery. We have used Taste of India many times and have always been happy with the food - it is our go to Indian delivery. Last night was different. I can honestly say it was the worst curry I have ever had. Totally tasteless. Not just my main dish - Rogan Josh. But, my Bombay aloo and my partners veg byriani was also bland and tasteless. We were so disappointed. There was no way of complaining via Just Eat as the delivery was great, there was nothing missing and the dish was cooked. So, no o-toon but to leave this review.

Wow! Ordered food for delivery, was told it would be @ 45 mins, an hour later was called to say it would be another hour!!!! Said I would like to cancel the order due to delay and shoddy timings, was addressed with a barrage of - the food is cooked now, we can't cancel....yes you can and I have cancelled, appalling behaviour and customer service!!!!
