The best restaurants serving Indian food in Uttlesford East of England

We had a rare child free night so decided to treat ourselves to a curry. Having seen their menu online we tried Brohmon in Stansted. We were treated to a wonderful home cooked meal full of flavour, I chose from the new healthier tasting menu whilst hubby went for his usual choice and both were delicious! We were also treated to taster cocktails and a first class personal service!

Good food but got the impression they don’t want solo diners. I had only just sat down when asked about popadoms so felt a little rushed then. Sat on a table for four but they just left the other three settings piled up in front of me which was uncomfortable. Main meal (lamb jalfrezi and pilau rice) was good but I did not receive a table check and the staff walked past plenty of times. Air con was a pain too as it was straight on to me but with the obvious ignorance, there was nothing I could do. Sadly - a good meal spoiled by poor customer experience.

Had a gluten free base pizza which was deliciously made and staff really friendly and overall great food. Highly recommend 😁

A lovely meal for us, Kind and friendly service as always. Ignore the haters, you can please some of the people, some of the time? But not all of the people all of the time? 🤷🏼‍♂️

We were looking for pub grub and was pleasantly surprised to find this Resturant there. The food was good, plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant enough. Very busy on a Sunday evening. We hadn’t booked but I think we was lucky to get a table as seems very popular.

We highly recommend Raj. The food is delicious. It always arrives piping hot. The delivery driver is friendly and always smiling.

Me and my partner ordered from here tonight via deliveroo the bhuna was dead, tasted like absolutely nothing. Chewy meat. The cheese fell out of the naan bread as soon as I picked it up.. Won't be coming back.

Waited two hours for delivery, after several attempts to ring to find out where our order is i finally got through. I was told it was on the pass. 20 min later and still no sign of my order. We will not be bothering to order from here again.

Fantastic ! Sami was brilliant ! And the food … wow ! We even got a tia Maria on the house !

We’ve ordered from here a couple of times but we won’t be ordering from here again. We weren’t impressed with the food and the man who served us was just rude. The food was bland and cold which for the price, is just a liberty.

Service was at their leisure the food was nothing to shout about the only thing going for it was that the food reasonably priced but not the drinks!!!!

This is one of our favourite places to eat out as a family and as a couple. Always made to feel welcome and make a fuss over the kids. All the staff are friendly and the food always tastes amazing. Great atmosphere and service especially Sayed who always looks after us really well. Can’t wait to go back again soon.

Good option getting off the train at 10.30 to pick up supplies for a late supper. A good house biryani.

Place was empty I was new to area went in ordered 2 fish and chips They had screens up (covid screens) so went to pay with card rude lady just said “ain’t you got cash” Chips were under cooked and still hard but fish ok Won’t go back again

We use the Spice quite often and usually find it to be really good . Delivery tonight was excellent , well under the hour quoted. Partner had King Prawn Biryani and she loved it and gave a score of 5/5. I had my usual of Chicken Tikka Jallfrezi with Sag aloo. Tonight it was a lot hotter with quite a few more chillies in the dish so I struggled to eat it towards the end .Not sure if they had a different chef or a different menu as usually it is just right for me. However great flavour , amazing colours just a little too hot for me tonight, but did finish it .Hasn't put me off and will definitely order our next take away from The Spice .
