Food arrived hot and on time. Naan breads were yummy. Curries were unfortunately heavy on salt and very heavy on tomatoes, Madras tastes like a Rogan Josh, Naga tasted like a Rogan Josh.

45 minutes late, food turned up cold and missing a dish. Called to chase order and restaurant weren't helpful at all!

Previous customer - delivery time was 40m - 1hr, then changed to add on an additional 40 mins. After a call to the restaurant the food arrived another 35 mins after that which was a total of 2 hours 15 mins since ordering. Tried to call twice more to chase order before delivery as a call back was promised but no answer. Food was cold when delivered which was disappointing after ordering before with no issues.

Food was amazing and incredibly courteous and polite driver.

Awful , butter chicken was literally like custard, hubby tried it and he is a madras man, he thought I’d got dessert, potatoes no flavour, I’ve never had food like it,.

This was the second time we've ordered from here and I'm happy to say the first time wasn't a fluke. This restaurant is fantastic. Ordered from bishop's Stortford, food was on time and hot. But the food! I ordered the Naga which I have very high expectations for and I was not disappointed, highly recommend for those who love a hot dish. My wife had the rezala which was superb and the lamb tender, naan breads hot and soft, can't say enough about it, honestly, just brilliant. 👍

Ordered at 6.10 tonight and it arrived at 8 o’clock ,we live 2 miles away , haven’t ordered from here since before covid as food got too salty but decided to give them another go, made two phone calls and they didn’t care , curry’s were very salty. Shame as we spend £90 on a curry most weeks . So will not be ordering again from here .

King Pawn butterfly was so hard could not eat it , keema nan had the smallest bit of meat in it , Chicken Tikka Mossala chicken was so hard aswell the bin enjoyed I think been using this place for a long time did ring up but they was not bothered felt ill for what I did eat so sad

Really nice food! But … is not value for money anymore. Price has been increased and has half the amount of meat it once did. Reduction in meat quantity this has been the last 4 orders Will think again about ordering

Our order was delayed twice for reasons unknown and when we finally got our order the food was less than acceptable. The rice was horrible, Luke warm and almost mushy. The chicken was burned in some places. It’s very disappointing as last time our order was so good

Best Indian food we've had in a long time. Spot on. Fresh, cooked just right, spices just right, really tasty, not too heavy. A really nice Friday night in front of the TV with some great food! Thank you, we'll be using Raj of India again, 10 out of 10!

A chicken tikka wasn’t in the order had to wait a hour for it to come back didn’t want it when it arrived as everyone else had finished eating and the popadoms were stale

None of my drinks arrived. I called multiple times and kept getting told I was receiving the missing items. The food is half decent but on the customer service alone I won’t be back. Oh well!

I hardly ever leave reviews of any kind, but felt compelled to do so in this case. As a British Indian Restaurant (“BIR”) obsessive, I left London terrified that I would never be able to find a great example of our nation’s proudest cross-cultural culinary achievement on the Essex / Herts border. After years (and I do mean, years) of disappointing flailing and compromise, I am delighted to report that these guys have it absolutely nailed! Everything is perfectly judged and fresh. Even the little giveaway signs delight me, eg. fresh slivers of green chilli and potato slices in crispy samosas which elsewhere would be microwave mush. These guys are brimming with care, expertise and integrity, and, my word, it shows!

Very enjoyable tasty Indian food. The king prawn birany was packe with king prawns & chicken tikka mossala was good. I particularly enjoyed the Resmi Kebab starter - spiced minced lamb wrappped in an omlette. HIghly recommended.

Got a takeaway from the Raj of India last night after a menu came through our door. The food was fantastic - best we’ve had since we moved to the area 3 years ago. They were really busy on Saturday, but the standard of the food was excellent.(Also, the lady on the front desk taking the orders deserves a pay rise! She was dealing with multiple phone orders at once as well as walk-ins, and did a great job whilst keeping a good sense of humour. Very pleasant and friendly.)

I absolutely do not want to put them down, Food is amazing, not sure if they have taken on to much, but ordered at 7pm, still waiting know at 8.35, rang my order through to pay by card, ordered and said they would phone me back to accept payment, so after waiting 30 min, I phoned them back, it’s now 8.40, still no food, so if ordering on Saturday suggest you order well and truly before You want it, but food is amazing xxxx oh and Raji mixed starter no onion Bhakti,

An absolutely delightful experience! The wow factor as soon as you walk in! A clean reception with beautiful lighting and safe socially distant seating where you can wait for your pick up food! The team are all extremely friendly and welcoming and will go the extra mile to accommodate any needs. On to the food. If I could give it 10 stars I would! The chef is wonderful! The flavours and spices are to die for and every meal was piping hot and cooked to PERFECTION!! The chefs speciality dishes are the ones to try! Mouth watering lamb Dum gosh and the Chicken jalfrezi was our personal favourites! THE ONLY INDIAN I WILL EAT FROM NOW! Thank you guys

Was delivered hot and the lady on the telephone was extremely polite and welcoming. Best curry I have had delivered in a very long time. We have always loved the Raj and after it has been taken over it’s just got better. The food is great quality, very tasty and there is still such a large array of food options. The new management team are friendly and very accommodating.

Having left Anwars after 1h 30m without service, we walked up the road to Raj. Ordered food, collected 20 minutes later. At home, served up 2 delicious meals, first class. Will definitely call again.
