The best restaurants serving Indian food in Dacorum East of England

We were there in the weekend a large group of us with kids ranging from 8 to 6 months. We were asked quite a few times by 4-5 waiters if we were finished with our food. We felt we had to eat quickly. It was already quite rushed on our table with having x4-5 kids with us. This didn’t help at all. We ordered Prosecco and the bottle got taken away before we finished it. We weren’t even asked if we wanted more or if we had finished our bottle. We eventually were told to leave our seats and go and sit by the bar as they had someone else that they needed to sit over there. From the get go we felt we had to rush eating our food. The whole dining experience was not nice. Food was ok. But definitely will not be attending this restaurant again.

Both main courses were incredibly sweet, the peshwari naan was filled with sugar. Very hard to eat. Something is wrong at Spice. Rice was fine, the plain naan was burnt. Very unsuccessful meal.

Ususally have takeaways from local restaurants. My neighbour recommended the Akash. The food was excellent well cooked abnd on time when I went to collect it. Will definately be usuing the Akash in the future.

My go to for great food and fantastic service, so much so I had my 50th birthday meal here with 13 friends recently. The staff went out of there way to accommodate by decorating with balloons and banners. Food was fantastic with impeccable service. A lovely friendly atmosphere, a real asset to the village!! Best Indian restaurant in Hemel or anywhere in London really. Amazing food! We order from here at least twice a month.

Ordered from here many times and the food is consistently great. Particularly love the poppadoms with the most delicious coconut chutney and mint sauce. Good range of options. Food arrives quickly and nice and hot. Will definitely order again soon.

The food is always 10/10 and the waiting staff are very friendly and welcoming.

This is a fabulous restaurant. The service is exceptional (I was lent reading glasses!), the food beautifully flavoured and plentiful, good value price-wise and the atmosphere cosy. My husband and I were moving house the following day, and had spent all day packing boxes. Not only did it restore us but made us feel very sad about leaving Hemel. Thank you for our cosy date-night!

Super Indian restaurant, which my wife, myself and our friends regularly visit for an evening meal. Large menu of dishes which are always nicely cooked. Excellent service from all staff. Very pleasant atmosphere in which to eat with friends

Inconsistent. Remember raving about the food in the restaurant in the past but sorry to say this time was a real let down. Ordered takeaway and the Chicken Karahi was watery, oily and bland. Chicken had no colour to it. Portions were small for the price.
