Rice Boat is my favorite restaurant in Cambridge! I am always awestruck by how delectable and authentic the South Indian cuisine is, and with such uniquely flavorful spices. The service is exceptional, and it sincerely feels as though you are welcomed in for an unrivaled South Indian home-cooked meal. The varied selection of appetizers, entrées, and desserts is exquisite, and the consistent quality of food and warm atmosphere make it well known that the owners care deeply about bringing Kerala cuisine to Cambridge!

We recently ordered takeout from Rose of India, hoping for a delicious Indian meal, but sadly, it was a complete disappointment. The flavors were far from what we expected, and overall, the experience was very underwhelming. We ordered the prawn kurma, which ended up being the biggest letdown. The dish had an overwhelmingly sweet flavor that tasted completely artificial. It was so off-putting that we could barely eat it. The sweetness overpowered everything, making it impossible to enjoy the prawns or any of the other spices that should have been in the dish. We also tried the chicken Malayan, but unfortunately, it didn't fare much better. The flavors were bland and lacked the richness that we usually associate with Indian cuisine. We won’t order from this restaurant again.

From placing the order to it being delivered was quite a long wait. The delivery time window kept changing being pushed back and then brought forward again which was a little frustrating. The food itself was nice, couldn't fault it really. Perhaps we didn't order the best thing in the menu as it was nice but I wouldn't exactly say award worthy as it wasn't anything different to a normal tikka masala. I would recommend it if you're in this area as it was good quality.

If you're in the mood for overpriced food, this is the place for you! I ordered *cut mirchi* and what did I get? A full mirchi thrown onto my plate, not even close to the actual dish. When I politely questioned it, the lazy chef couldn't be bothered to fix the mistake. Instead, I was told, "This is what we do—eat it or leave it." The attitude was as tasteless as the food. To top it off, the portions were ridiculously small for the price. You’re better off avoiding this place altogether unless you enjoy paying too much for a meal that’s half done.
