food is usually nice even if the portion size is on the smaller size - been here a few times but the last one it was booked well in advance and managed to be over 10mins late - spoke to the Raj Mahal and it didnt seem like they really gave a shit about it - last time for me

I ordered the Biryani, there was no chicken in it and the vegetable curry container was almost empty, shocking value for money. Carry on like this and you’ll be losing customers and money.

Myself and my husband decided to give this place a try when we saw they did a £10 Wednesday Special advertised in their window. It comes with a starter, a selected main, and either boiled rice or fresh naan. We both tried their Samosas and Onion Bahjis to start, which were delicious, and we then decided on a Lamb Buhna and a Chicken Buhna. Both were excellent and far exceeded my expectations for the £10 we paid for each of us. I couldn't fault the service; our waiter was very attentive and answered any questions we had with no issues at all. Atmosphere was quiet, warm, and cosy. I'll definitely be back in the future to try some of their other dishes for myself.

Omg nan bread something out of Tesco curry tasted Llke microwave not nice questioned staff told you complained before l so basically bugger off avoid attitude staff un friendly don't bother

Nice and polite staff, quick service. The only thing is the dips for the papad were a bit too sweet (green and the chilli chutney).

Bit quiet but it was the hottest day of the year so far. Food delicious, the waiter service prompt, friendly & excellent we have been coming here for 2 years and never had a poor meal. Can strongly recommend the prawn poori for starters & we love the pathia which is hot, sour & sweet as a delicious main course. The restaurant is not licensed but the co-op is less than a minutes walk away, if you fancy wine or a kingfisher.

Absolutely loved it here. The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely be back. Took my daughter who has a peanut allergy which was no issue for them so 10/10 all round.

Delicious meal served in the restaurant. Spicy jalfraisi, egg fried rice and nan. Excellent service.

Vast improvements have been made since it changed hands. Bring your own wine and eat traditional Indian options with no additional fees and at a really decent price. We have eaten here many times and have not had a bad experience

Food lacked taste unfortunately, way to much coconut being used in my opinion, from time being ordered and then being delivered was very good and delivery lady was lovely and bubbly and can't complain about the speedy deliver but unfortunately the food wasn't particularly hot and felt wasn't fully cooked through. Was very under whelmed for my taste buds

This Indian is very underrated been loads over the last 3 months why do no one ever praise it up on Facebook pages - the food is delicious best in town if you like hot tasty curry’s !! Good prices curry how it should taste you don’t get given free food like other restaurants in town to boost there reviews- worth every penny IMO - can’t wait to go back !!

Arrived hot and ready to eat, a delicious meal just what I expected. Wonderful flavours and enough for 2 meals or one very hungry person ! Thank you I will definitely order again.

Takeaway. Worst Indian food we’ve ever had! Soggy, solid vegetable pakora with a strange luminous green sauce. Butter chicken was terrible, thick sauce that was more like a bad korma/pasanda consistency with no spice or flavour. Rice was ok, Nan bread very small and not unpleasant. Glad we got something to share as not enjoyable so waste of money.

Absolutely stunning food, we had a takeaway (collection) so review purely based on that. I had Chicken Patia which was sweet, sour and hot just as advertised, wife had a Passanda which again was very tasty. I pre-ordered for a 6pm collection and it was ready within 2 minutes of me arriving. Food sizes are good and we had enough of the main courses for the next night.

Really bad takeaway, used to be okay but have really gone downhill since we ordered. Thought we would give them another try but it's really bad.

Ordered the raj mahal special just got chicken thigh meat in it. No prawns or lamb which was supposed to be in it. The meat samosa was shop bought really bad. Shame on you!!!!!!

Missing items and food was cold

Ordered a lamb Rogan josh, garlic naan and vegetable samosas online for pick up. Ready within 15 minutes, even earlier than the suggested time. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was very good overall, rogon josh could have had slightly more spice but still very tasty with delicious lamb chunks. Decent sized naan but Jeremy ordered four.

Great food delivered before stated time

Lovely atmosphere, staff are very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic! Great value too! We had four mains, rice for all, 4 naan, 8 poppadoms, 4 sides and 8 drinks and only spent 90! Highly recommend! I had the mixed grill and it was incredible 😋 we also had rogan josh, chicken tikka masala and a veggie curry and everyone loved it all 😋

Super little place..loved the ambiance, calm and exotic. Very friendly and accommodating. Good was spot on. I prefer my chilli's, if you want the dish to be really hot and fiery .. just ask. Great variety of dishes. And food came piping hot! See you guys soon, keep up the good work!

Fantastic service and very tasty food. Hot and full of flavour. The only thing missing was the prawns in the special (there was a tail shell of a prawn in there only which needed to be discarded). That was a shame but the dish itself was very nice and so hoping that was just a simple mistake

Perfect for what we like. Excellent food, served in good time, from a varied menu that has all of the dishes you would expect and more. Service is attentive but not overpowering. Plus, you can bring your own wine and no corkage fee

The food was not so great. We have ordered for butter naan but they have charged us for cheese naan which is double the price. When we asked the person at the counter to make corrections to the bill they said bill once made can't be can't be changed and we ended up paying £20 more than the actual bill should be.

Not very nice food, very bland,.. Heat, no spice?!.. The onion Bahjis were raw.. the egg rice smelt like washing liquid & had hard bits in the rice.. Flat bottled, warm cola. All through the meal we was the only couple in the restaurant throughout the whole experience the waiter just kept walking past us back & fourth... I finished my meal first & he swept my plate while my friend was still eating which I found rude. Lacks flavour, customers & experience hospitality experience.

First time using this restaurant food was fantastic very tasty and lamb madras very hot how I like it only thing was forgot popadoms just eat sorted would definitely use Indian restaurant again .
