Recently moved to Oulton and this is our local curry house. What a delight to find the food was great. We take visitors there all the time. Good value for money and its quirky location adds to the enjoyment. # lived here 6yrs now and still my favourite place to go. Such friendly staff, almost like family xx

Went in on a Sunday night. My wife and grandson waiters was friendly and welcoming Had poppadom with chutney all fresh ordered main waited for a bottle and arrived hot and fresh would definitely recommend this place

We found this restaurant on trip advisor. Very close to my sisters house so we decided to go. When we got there unfortunately there was a noisy group of men. We were sat nearby and the manager apologised and said he would move us to a four table as soon as one was free which he kindly did. My gin & tonic was extremely weak and again the manager rectified without any cost. The food was fantastic. Service quick. We ended up having great food and an enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant but due to limited tables I would advise you to book. It was lovely to see how a converted railway station was turned into this great restaurant.

Was so excited to get a takeaway from here as heard good things and there isn't a decent curry house In beccles any more so ordered online all simple drove over (through the oulton broad traffic!) Lovely girl at the counter, got my food and went back. Well sooooooo disappointed is an understatement! The food was swimming in so much oil had to drain a hell of a lot off! The pathia was ok but was still alot of oil, the sag aloo was tasteless and the potatoes had soaked up alot of oil again! And the same with the starter swimming in oil! So nope shame will not be retuning!

Took the family out for a family meal 4 of us 2 adults 2 children. Ishiqa and the team was brilliant even with 2 fussy eaters. Price is very good with the taste and portions of the food. Will be going back again. Thanks guys👍

Ordered a collection from this place last night, gotta say the worst take away I’ve ever had, onion bahji’s tasted of old oil, and like they were cooked for the third time, poppadoms were stale, the chicken tikka had no flavour and the “garlic cheese naan” was absent of garlic and cheese and flavour just like the whole meal, phoned to complain they said they would send another one or give us credit with them, which is Fairenough but I just wanted a refund after eating a little bit I was put off, so had to drive the food back to the restaurant to get a refund, when I entered and said to them I was here for the refund like I said on phoned the young lady working out front was polite and said I’ll get someone for you, 3 men come out off the kitchen (looked and smelled like they haven’t showered in weeks) they wasn’t as polite as the young girl, they was rude arguing and trying to intimidate me, 2 stood around me arms crossed just staring me down, while I was explaining and showing them how bad the food was, think they were trying to scare me, I was more scared off eating their food again than the chefs who butchered their cultural food, worst Indian food around👎

It's been a really long time since I remember spitting my food out... My curry tasted days old, the lamb was dried out and tasted reheated

Took my family here for a meal, and the service was excellent, the food was really good except for my dad's lamb which was extremely tough so he was unable eat it, this was due to way it was cooked and what dad ordered(will know for next time). Overall a very pleasant evening and will return next time we are in lowestoft

This tiny place is a real gem. It has only a few tables. The staff are very friendly and service is great. The food is always very good! They have the usual bar favorites, Cobra of course...

I went to the restaurant last saturday night with my sister and my husband. We Booked a table at 9, arrive early and we waited outside so the host just came for us outside becauae the Table was ready before time. Was little restaurnt with not many tables but with the perfect atmosphera. The food was quick and really tasty, very suprised when they came with extra food as a complement. We really enjoy. Everyone one member of the staff was beautiful and friendly specilly the sisters. Nice music as well and just said to finish that as a person that work in hospitality for more than 20 years the service was one off the best i never have. Really thanks.

Was looking for somewhere on bank holiday to eat and we tried this place out. Was pleasantly received. Lovely decor, polite staff, lovely food and will be coming here again soon. Top tier 👍

Small restaurant but very tasty food and great customer service

Fantastic little place! And it is little, being in, I think, the former ticket office of a railway station! The food, staff, restaurant are all excellent. No complaints whatsoever. The staff do not standstill, they are not only serving customers who have tables booked, but also customers coming in for takeaway or having food delivered. Service is fast, but you don't feel pressured to eat quickly and leave. Would recommend to everyone who likes Indian cuisine.

I used to eat here all the time but having moved to the far end of town I am now an occasional visitor. However Ishak has not changed at all and the food is first class highly recommended.

We had a takeaway from Labone and it was absolutely 💯 gorgeous, delicious. We had other bits too, and will be back soon. We've also eaten in the restaurant a while ago and that experience was great too.

We dropped in on the off chance after a funeral after having a lot of locals recommend the food. The team were really accommodating and the food was excellent. Will definitely book and eat here again when we are next visiting family.

We have used Labone in Oulton Broad since it opened and I can honestly say this is far superior than the Lowestoft Tandoori, yes Tandoor give you loads of freebies in the takeaway bag but for me it's quality over quantity. Don't belive the reviews on the Lowestoft Tandoori FB page. I left a negative review on their FB page a few times and the post was constantly taken down, they only allow positive reviews. I ordered a takeaway for the family after reading the rave reviews. The chicken in all the dishes were very dry & the Bombay potatoes were like rocks, Poor chicken tikka masalas & chicken tikka mains. Try Labone you wont regret it Mr. Peter

We came here for my boyfriends birthday as were on holiday and we were nothing but amazed! Great food, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. We went for the Chicken Korma, Chicken Jalfrezi, coconut rice and naan, and a prawn puree (and of course the poppadoms with dip selection) it was a very tasty experience and we will definitely be back without a doubt. Love this place, tried other local Indian restaurants but always come back to Labone. The staff are really friendly, it’s like spending a night with your friends and the food is great value for money, best lamb bhuna ever.

Myself and my friend went to Labone on Jan 13 to enjoy a nice Indian Meal. As usual the service and food was very good. No complaints . But the number of delivery drivers constantly coming and going past our table was very distracting. If I go again I will ask to be seated away from the delivery drivers who congregate infront of the bar area. The restraunt needs to arrange a pick up point away from diners trying to enjoy their meal.

We've had takeaways that have always been tasty but I ate here for the first time just before Christmas. There was a great selection of authentic dishes as well as the usual favourites. Good selection of booze and service was spot on.

We had a delivery which arrived hot, was delicious and enjoyed by all.

First time I've had a takeaway from here, and it's just as good as the food served in the restaurant. Keema naan is a personal recommendation. The delivery driver was friendly and on time. The food was hot and very tasty. I had a lamb madras where the lamb was tender, and the sauce was hot and spicy - excellent! Absolutely amazing meal.

Although they were busy and we hadn't booked we received a warm and friendly welcome service was great definitely going back booking next time of course 🙂

Wife wanted to go here since moving to Lowestoft 3yr ago, so decided to book a table for her birthday. What a disappointment. We had a server who was rude and didn’t really understand English. Plates dirty and heavily worn. Food wasn’t even close to being mediocre. The tastiest thing was the parsley that was on everything everywhere, definitely keeps a parsley farm in business. Chicken was hit and miss. Some pieces were close to being raw and other pieces were completely overcooked and too dry to even cut and chew. Rice was way overcooked and had hard lumps of stuck together rice. Bottled water was warm. I can understand why they keep asking if you want alcoholic drinks as soon as you walk in, to try and make you tipsy enough to not taste the food. Nothing authentic about the place.Go to a store, pick up a freezer curry, stick in microwave and have the same experience and authentic taste.

I have visited the Labone on many occasions and have always had a great service, the food is in my opinion the best in Lowestoft and surrounding area.

We usually love this Indian but tonight we very disappointing. The Murgh Malika was swimming in oil and had absolutely no taste to it whatsoever. The poppadoms were soft. The pilau rice was in one big clump, you could cut it with a knife.

I hadn't been for a while and three of us ate at Labone one evening. The food was OK and the service was OK as well, although perhaps a little 'matey' for me with the opening line of "Cobra?" once we sat down. The restaurant is in a former railway station so you would hope that there would be some reference to that in the decor. However the addition of the covid cubicles since I was last there, and with the walls just a boring grey, with no pictures, the ambience was somewhat lacking. Come on guys, you can do better!

As a group of four, we cover most tastes, and all were spot on. My preference, a flavourful but powerfully hot Naga Chilli, did not disappoint.

Definitely our first choice for a curry night! Staff are great, food is even better.

My partner took me here recently for a belated birthday dinner. I have to say that the food was really lovely. Quick service and nice and hot. I was however really disappointed by the inside of the restaurant. It's located within a beautiful old Railway station building yet all of the windows have been boarded over so it feels like you're sitting in a box. We were seated right in a corner and I have to say I felt quite claustrophobic. It's such a shame because there is potential there to really make a feature of the location.

Tried this place whilst on a family holiday. It was within walking distance of our house and located in a converted train station. The restaurant was small but comfortable and the menu had plenty of choice. I opted for a chef recommended spicy chicken dish with cheese and garlic naan and mushroom rice. The food was very good. The curry had plenty of flavour despite being well spiced. I washed it down with a couple of bottles of Bangla. The service and the friendliness of the staff was very good too. Highly recommend.

We phone the restaurant to receive a collection. everything was fantastic. Arrived home and the Popadoms We are dreadful. I found the restaurant to get some replacements. The young man told me they buy their Popadoms in and cannot give me a replacement poppadom. I said to him, I was not happy with this, and he put the phone down on me. I am 60 years old and I’ve never wrote a negative review in my life. Thank you for your dreadful customer service

Doesn't look much from the outside but inside the decor is modern and clean. Food is top-notch and portion size is good i.e. it doesn't skimp on rice portions like some restaurants. The naan is great too. We had starters and mains all of which were excellent.

The best Curry we have ever had today was delivered to our holiday resort. As well as what we ordered we also received complimentary side dishes and all were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious Indian food. We have eaten here each time we visit family in Oulton Broad and it never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere and great service. The dishes all have lots of meat in, unlike some Indians where you get a couple of pieces of chicken and then a ton of sauce. Each dish is very unique and I highly recommend getting a selection of main courses to share, so you get to taste more than one thing. Even the poppadoms and dipping sauces are wonderful. Booking a table is a good idea, as it does get very full at busy times.

Labone has been my go-to for Indian takeout for several years, for good reason. Their food is exceptional, customer service is on point, and they offer discounts for cash payments. Top notch establishment. Highly recommend 👍

This restaurant has gone down hill recently. Went with family on a Tuesday evening, although place wasn’t too busy the service was poor. Had to remind waiter about an order for the staters he had missed. Then when the main meals arrived my naan bread was badly burnt. They also brought a dish nobody had asked for. Considering there was only the three of us the ordering wasn’t complicated. I had heard from others this once little gem had deteriorated but was sceptical as I used to recommend it. However, sadly I have to agree. Maybe they were just having a bad night. The atmosphere was dull and staff all looked depressed.

I hear La Bone won a national award and it deserves to. Without doubt one of the best curry restaurants in the country not just the county. If you are looking for something not run of the mill try the Lamb Kata masala. Absolutely delicious

First time to the restaurant on Friday night and what a lovely experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing with lots of flavour. When we arrived we were shown straight to our table. It was a lovely night, I would recommended 100%

Staying locally, saw this had great reviews so decided to give it a go. It is on the station so don’t be put off by finding your way in through the car park. Not huge and very popular so booking probably advised. Managed to get a walk in table and very impressed. Extremely friendly service and food was spot on.

Heard good things about this place -had my first delivery from here tonight… (Expensive, In my opinion, but everything is nowadays) Friendliness of the guy who I contacted on the phone A1, delivered on time, polite delivery driver, and the food was top quality -2nd to none on flavour, have to say I’m very impressed…. I don’t eat out/takeout that often due to finances, but would definitely recommend, and use again

We had a Takeaway for five on Friday. It was only a few minutes wait from the time ordered. All double checked before leaving which was good to see. The food was as delicious as always, with decent sized portions. The staff are friendly and attentive. Really love the food from here.

Simply the best Indian food ! Really lovely vegetarian versions of most of the meals, i used to live in south east with some very up market Indian restaurants around me, but this one beats them all! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Went here for dinner. The food is decent not the best Indian food I’ve had around the area but comparatively cheaper and service was good. Might not be the best dine in experience but I guess you get what you pay for.

Cannot believe that am putting a bad review since reading others...but just had delivery and it was not good, korma barely warm, naan bread very cold, poppadoms greasy,onion bargees over cooked, madras not particularly good either,and pilau rice was boiled rice not pilau...only good thing was the delivery time and I am so so disappointed and sorry to have to put this review.

Looking at the reviews was quite looking forward to coming here, bit of a disappointment the location isn't great looked like a boarded up shop, but thought give them the benefit of the dought, the place is quite small about 7 cables in total, the food was alright but I found the service lacked that the personal touch, the waiter gave couple of sarcastic remarks and face gestures when we asked for the starter dips to stay on the table and also when we asked for water, as much as it wasn't a bad restaurant I wouldn't come back

Delivered in the time frame given which was good however chicken seemed undercooked in one dish so we didn't eat that, the sauces on all 3 curry's we flavourless and were like they came out of a jar - the naan bread was burnt and black I wouldn't recommend
