So good! Piping hot, flavours were 10/10. Jonaki Tandoori is definitely our favourite Indian restaurant! Yummy 🤤😍

Really it exceeds my expectations. Fully satisfied with Chicken Tikka Biriyani along with plain dal 👌

My first time using Jonaki this evening, the food was out of this world (tikka masala, madras, onion bhajis, rice and naan) friendly and helpful staff over the phone. Even better when inside, the gentleman behind the counter was talking to the regular patrons and remembered something about all of them. Was a nice personal touch, can’t wait to use again

Food is always amazing, delivery was a little late but it was New Years Eve so it was excpected. Have never had a bad meal from here.

Best Indian in Southend by far won’t use anywhere else

Ordered via Uber Eats, waited almost 2 hours for the food to arrive before advising Uber Eats it was never delivered. Apparently they tried to call me (they didn't) to say my food couldn't be delivered and that my order would be cancelled, so I was left waiting the whole time pointlessly. Terrible service. Can't comment on the food.

A good second impression. First time we ordered, the food never arrived and had to be cancelled. HOWEVER, this time was a massive improvement. The food was hot and delicious, and the driver apologised for the previous order. Impressed, and will order again 😊

I've used the Jonaki for my takeaway for over 30 years. I love their food and they always have friendly delivery staff.

Positives: - Friendly, conversational staff; - Reasonable wait time - was in and out in under 20mins; - Really tasty food; - Excellent portion sizes; - Courtesy shown towards community members needing help Please work on: - Quality checks - there was a tiny strip of metal in the gravy of one of my dishes which did *not* come from the tin foil container; - Desserts - the ice-cream flavours come in tiny 200ml containers. They are foamy with little flavour and not frozen well (horrible texture under the lid). I expected a lot more for £4.50 each.

Great food but only received part of my order, when I rang to complain I was told “it’s Friday night” and we are busy! Food was great, however I suggest you pay on receipt and check you have received all your order to ensure you are getting what you pay for!

Absolute treat every time I’m down there. Food is always spot on and exactly as described. Hot, tasty and full of flavour. The guys who run the place are always a delight. Never going anywhere else!

Im not one to complain and I get that it’s a Sunday people are probably sleeping but I ordered butter chicken which should be similar to chicken dhansak at least here in london, but Instead I got given Chicken Korma to be told it’s chicken Butter it’s a joke and waste of money If i wanted desert I would have ordered desert!!! Never again!!!!

The worst portion of a main chicken tikka I’ve ever had….6 pieces. Looked so small it should have been a starter. Was also cold when it arrived. Mushroom bhajee was nice and was still hot. Garlic Naan bread was nice. Really let down by tikka though

Over an hour late for delivery which we don’t mind if the food was correct, Food was freezing tasted awful missing items curry’s wasn’t even what they was supposed to be. Will never order from here again. £40 straight in the bin!

Rang restaurant twice to chase order. Received 1.5 hours after ordering. Got a migraine due to hunger. No botification emails to say running late. Would not use again!

Really great food - might be the best Indian in the area. New regular! I just wish there was an option to buy a bag of onion salad rather than those tiny pots!

Been ordering from here since February 2023 and it is definitely the best Indian takeaway in southend. Only had one problem, that was gave me a mushroom korma instead of a meat and mushroom korma, phoned up, they apologise and gave me a free meat and mushroom korma on my next order. Can't fault the staff, always happy and polite. Food prices are fair and reasonable.

Foods alright but took ages - ordered at 1920 on a wet Tuesday and arrived at 2100 1hr 40 minutes to get 1 mile and app said would be 2030hrs phoned restaurant and just got nonsense be ten minutes more etc.

Lovely food can't complain about anything. We had the set meal for 2 perfect could of fed 3 people.

Food is always good here, loads of flavours and beautiful aroma from their culinary delights , definitely one of my favourites to use when it comes to cuisine from asia

Lovely food but be aware dansak doesn't come with rice unlike every other Indian restaurant. Maybe they should say that...?

Food outstanding. Veg biryani with veg curry amazing. Curry best I've had in decades. Nan reheatable 3 mins in oven. (Haven't eaten the bombay potatoes yet.) I ordered 3 hours before I ate to avoid delivery delays. Only issue was it was 20 mins late. I think they need training on how to use the app. They select "food delivered" too soon.

Chicken from here is so good - big chunks of soft white chicken breast, korma was so nice - creamy, not watery at all or too spicy. Coconut rice was seasoned a little which made it fragrant and was the best coconut rice ever. Nann bread cooked well and not too thick. 5* very good

I am a regular visitor to the jonaki. They always prepare hot food in a timely manner. Over the years I have ordered a lot, but my favourites are their bhunas (chicken or prawn), mushroom rice, Bombay aloo and saag paneer. Staff are very friendly. Portions are generous.

Waiting ages to get the wrong curry which had 4 tiny pieces of chicken. When I rang to inform the restaurant, they said it was definitely the curry I had ordered, but it wasn’t. Unhappy and feel bad for writing this but this is the second time we had 4 small pieces of chicken in a curry full of sauce.

The bloke answered the phone not professional at all not apologetic in the slightest that my food was hour late and then freezing cold when it got here Do not use

Chicken shaslick had 4 bits of chicken in a large container. Rest of space filled with with large onion and pepper pieces. Prawn surprise was disappointing as no one was expecting sweet curry, no allergens or ingredients stated. Overall not the best for the price spent.

I was also given the wrong masala and nana bread. There is no easy option to ask for a refund either on the just eat site.

Great food - can’t fault it at all. But service was shocking. Ordered at 6pm for a delivery, and I had to eventually collect at 8:30pm as they were short staffed. Bad communication.

JONAKI! I order every week with no problems.. first time ordering via just eat tonight and has been nightmare. Food said was delivered but wasn’t. 2 hours later I’ve spent 45 minutes trying to get through to you on the phone just to be told you haven’t received my order. You then leave me on hold to answer your other phone and meanwhile I can hear a customer come into your shop saying the same thing, they been waiting 2 1/2 hours for just eat order. You then come back onto phone to tell me you will find my order and resend in 10 minutes.. don’t believe this at all so think I will be ordering somewhere else. Very disappointing!

After an hour past the expected time, I called them. Apparently food Was ready and waiting for delivery, that was another 45 mins ago. Food still not here. And phones been turned off. Such a shame because usually it's delicious. 2hrs 30 mins after order at time of posting this.
