Curry Pot in Southend-on-Sea

Tried here for the first time. It was a really tasty meal. The chicken was so tender. The garlic bread actually tasted of garlic. The portions were big. We didn't need a curry each. We will definitely be using the curry pot again

I always tell the honest truth when it comes to food especially when things are so expensive nowadays, I have just received my order and I can't rate this highly enough the flavours were outstanding and it was delicious, not only delivered very hot and fresh it didn't even need salt to taste, it was far from bland. This will definitely be my No1 for an Indian delivery. P.S it was very plentiful 😘

This is honestly one of the worst ive ever had! sauces are no way made in house, korma was foul, passanda wasnt sweet, madras wasnt spicy! the bhuna was nice tho albeit a bit greasy! the bhajis were undercooked and doughy, the samosas were barely cooked and the naan was so stale and chewy i think it was baked last week! terrible and unauthentic, shop bought sauces and low quality ingredients! i will never ever eat from here again!

Delivered early, hot food. Tastes good, not too greasy or oily. Would recommend. Only downside was ordered both lamb dishes, one came as a chicken. As regular customers, sometimes the odd dish is not quite what we ordered. But always happy to reuse to order a takeaway.

Tandoori chicken inedible burnt and hard won’t order it again same as a shashlik from a previous order, Such a shame as their traditional curries are very good.

Very nice curry and good size portions, delivered ahead of time. Would definitely recommend.

Lamb madras was lovely, saag aloo and pilau rice were also lovely. Just wish the chicken tikka starter came with the mint sauce as a little dry. The 2 free poppadoms was a nice touch, thank you.

Very nice only thing was missing 2 lots of bombay potatoes and garlic naan

The madras was a bit sweet for me and I didn't think madras was supposed to be sweet but other than that everything else was delicious 🤤

To be fair after a few really nice curries the curries we are receiving now are not what we expected. Ordered A chicken madras normally really nice but tonight the curry is sweet like a pasnada. I hope that restaurants work towards consistency. Because that is all people want.

Gave 5stars even though I didn’t get my Madras sauce, what I did get was a very small tub of a red sauce, no idea what it was, but it tasted ok

I have found some of the dishes can be hit and miss? I still enjoy ordering from the restaurant however every now and then I find I'm not happy with my dish. Other times it is spot on.

In all the time I’ve used this take away always the experience has been excellent but unfortunately this order was not that. The order was late, food was just warm we had to heat it up in the microwave so not a great experience . We will still order again as food is plentiful and normally early or on time. This we will put down as a glitch

First time eating from curry pot. I really enjoy the Chicken Dansak, nicely garlicy, with a kick of spice. Special egg rice was flavoursome and the veg korma a nice thick and sweet sauce. Two things I think could be a little better; more variety in the veg korma, e.g. Broccoli, cauliflower etc... The chicken chat on puree was quite oily. Overall, one of the better north indian takeaways in the area.

I have been using the take away for years. I guess it was just a rough meal. The currys tasted amazing however the chips were cold and the nan was black. The order was later then specified too. 😔

Best around, maybe make onion bhajees more oniony tho, notice a lot of places doing these types and they are very lacking in onion flavour.
