Curry Night in Southend-on-Sea

This has to be the most disgusting indian takeaway I've ever had! The vegetable curry only had onion in it, the dal was just just like slop so we didn't even attempt to eat it! I would never order from this place again. It was our first and last experience. My advice would be don't waste your money!

Place place for an indian takeaway. Delivery was rapid, food was tastey. Easy to navigate ordering and fairly priced.

Had to wait over two hours and they kept saying be there in a min when I rang Paid 30 quid for cold food then got offered a 5% discount off my next order when I rang back 1.30 for a cold meal and wasted time . If you can’t deliver then don’t take my order

Great Indian takeaway no dine in, moved to Great Wakering in December disappointed by a few other takeaways but found this one tried it loved it chicken tikka very tender my favourite dish is a chicken Tikka Dansak madras hot no onions comes the same every time great dish there is one fault the side dishes like Bombay potatoes a few big bits of potato the rest is a lot of mush shame the same as Aloe Gobi but I'm sure they will sort that out. Ordered the same last time food superb didn't get my free Bombay potatoes as I spent over the amount but probably they just forgot glad they did as we were stuffed.Reccomended it to a few other people so hope they tried it and enjoyed.

Best Indian takeaway we have had in years, the chicken tikka is so tender, lots of it and flavourful, the chicken tikka dansak is also a favourite of ours, again tender meat with a nice kick but not too hot. It’s taken us years to find a decent Indian takeaway, this is our 3rd order and all have been very good

Ordered meal for collection and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Apparently it’s under new management, let that be a warning to you. Front of house was grubby with a stack of plastic delivery boxes that were dirty and didn’t fill me with confidence. The meal obviously hadn’t been started and took another 20 minutes to cook. The person who took my money was dressed in a hoody with a baseball cap who clearly didn’t want to be there and the price was expensive. Will not be going back

Had food poisoning from here last night ..will be in touch with environmental health team, never been so ill

Had a takeaway from here for the first time. The Bombay chicken and chicken biriyani was a delight. Service was good too. Well done guys 👍🏽

Menus from curry night had been posted around the area. Front page was 15% discount if collected and over £20 plus a free Bombay potato. So we ordered 2 set meals and went to collect. We were charged FULL rate no discount. On our query we were told our order was already low price!, so no discount and no Bombay potato. I should’ve ordered with delivery. I felt Conned! Which is a shame really as the food was good. A bit of sharp practice which does no favours for Indian take always. Complain to trading standards or comment on TA. ? I chose the easiest.

What a joke I ordered two poppadoms, the lad behind the counter seemed to be spaced out. I asked for some onion salad as well. I was charged 65p for the salad and 60p for the poppadoms it came in a pot . The amount in the pot would have been about a desert spoon size!!!! Never go there again rip off and the lad serving needs to come back to earth.

We've ordered from here a few times. Delivery has always been rapid and the food is tasty with a good blend of spice to to heat ratio. Meat portions are generous and after eating we are always left feeling satisfied (but want to order again soon!) Definately one of the better Indian takeaways in the Southend Area's and recommended!

I have ordered many takeaways from this restaurant over the last 2 years I walked 15-minutes to collect a meal for £5 only to be told that I do not accept card payments under£10. Visa and Mastercard both state that if you use their service you should not charged minimum payments I should be using the Gulshan from now on.

Gone right down hill. Lazy chefs heating up frozen food from the supplier and I quote from the manager who I complained to "every restaurant uses frozen from the supplier, nobody cooks homemade". WILL NEVER ORDER FROM CURRY NIGHT AGAIN

We ordered via their app at 7:15. At 8:15 we rang them and were told that they had our order and would prioritise it. At 9:10 we rang again and were told it was being packed up and would be with us in 15 minutes. At 9;30 we could only get through to voicemail. At 9:40 we left a message with them to cancel. Sadly 2 and half hours to with for your delivery is too long.

We have had some rubbish curry takeaways recently from top rated pads, so tried old favorite 'Curry Nights' New ownership has brought it back. Great.

Ordered on the app that they rate about but what a load of rubbish .... ordered and paid and said it would be delivered 45-60 mins which was ok but after 90 mins rang them to be told never received an order and I couldn't have ordered on their app !!! .... very unhelpful indeed. Needless to say the app has now gone down so you cant check it. So deleted the app and wont ever be using curry nights again

Back to it's best. Very tasty and great value. I've been going there since it opened over 15 YRS ago. Just had a delicious Korai, highly recommended if you value tasty more than explosive heat

Food was lovely but above all the customer service was excellent, the female delivery driver delivered my food to my door without waking my children (buzzer panel entry) very impressed and I will definitely order again !

I do love an Indian and being 39weeks pregnant I wanted to try a spicy curry, we ordered a madras and a vindaloo it didn’t disappoint it was yummy! No baby though lol but will always be ordering our Indian from you 😊

the curry was so tame that if I wanted a baby’s curry I would of ordered a korma, ( no spice at all) even in the Bombay potatoes. (tasted like gravy) chicken was dry but lamb was nice and moist, also ordered 2 spicy and 1 plain popadom, got 3/4 size and bits that are practically burnt. we only ate it as we was hungry but won’t be placing an order with this place again. shame it’s changed hands as was a lovely place. very disappointed

Sorry but it wasn’t as good today. Usually excellent food but not very hot and chicken wasn’t as good and bit over cooked. prawn puree was cold and not very tasty. I normally give a very good review of this take-away but couldn’t today I’m afraid.. maybe new management or chef is the reason.. Hopefully it will be better next time...

Delivered when they said it would be. When it arrived it looked very greasy. Turns out it was just the onion bhajis that wete greasy and it had got everywhere. They were my only let down.... they were huge but greasy and a bit soft. Everything else tasted amazing. We had the set meal for 2 Would definitely order from here again.

The best curry I have ever had! The portions are excellent, loads of good quality perfectly cooked meat, and delivered piping hot. All at an unbeatable price point. The staff were very friendly and polite as well. My only regret is that I can only give 6 stars.

Just recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a good Indian restaurant , it looks like I've found it . My only gripe is that the keema naan i ordered wasn't delivered

Fresh, tasty, nice size portions, will recommend to others. Only negative comment is we ordered 2 mushroom with garlic Nan's. Got Garlic Nan by mistake not to worry overall very good.

Food has been hot and better than ever since new management took over. The only hiccup tonight was no mint sauce with Samosa's so it made them rather dry since they don't come with salad either. But this was minor as the seasoning was superb. Highly recommend this take away service.
