Favourite Indian restaurant in the area. Not the closest to me but the best.

I ordered a chicken tikka dhansak with coconut rice, and onion bhajis. although the bhajis were a bit burnt, overall it was amazing.

Very bland food, easy the least spicy indian I've ever had..cold nan bread and don't get me started on what thete version of a chicken roll is...won't be ordering from here again

Has a 5 course option on Tuesdays for a great prive of £20 each. Would highly highly recommend the food flavour was great and place was lovely

Arrived at 6.00pm Monday 14/10 for my son's birthday treat , restaurant was cold , we were the only people in the restaurant, beers and poppadums turned and ordered food . After 35 mins I asked if there was a problem and was told they were busy cooking take aways ! Suprisingly our food turned up a minute late - nothing special. Found £4.50 for a garlic naan or boiled rice a bit steep , shan't be going back.

First time collecting very quick and very friendly only had to sit and wait for about 5 minutes

ordered a takeaway and have not eaten here for a few years, very disappointed, chicken was a strange texture and lamb so chewy you had to spit it out also the dishes were bland, considering I ordered a Chicken tikka chilli mossala, where was the chilli ?? So around £45 down the pan, will go back to our regular in Clacton in future

Not great!! Service was terrible. Felt that we were forgotten about. Staff not checking if we needed anything. Bad experience. Won't be going back. Food very poor, biryani didn't have a lot of flavour. Very noisy restaurant. By 9pm place was empty. Doesn't say much for a Friday night.

Lovely meal delivery was nice and early

Food was absolutely amazing!! 10/10 Service was very slow. We were in there for 2hours and they seemed to prioritise takeaway orders over dine in. Asked for some glasses of water and they gave them to the wrong table before eventually getting us some. But food was amazing 😻

Great meal as always but noticed price has gone up quite a lot on most items and the portions were a lot smaller......... Nice atmosphere and very busy.

The food is nice but items were missed. The waiter who took the order for the table asked only part of our table and then left, we had to then get his attention to order the rest. In total we waited an hour and a half to get our food. What's worse is there were people who came in after us, ate their food and then left before we got our food. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we got there so there's no excuse besides the prioritising takeaways. I can't recommend this restaurant at all unless you're getting takeaway

Excellent restaurant very near Clacton on Sea. Great choice food, friendly staff and great fun.

This was my first time to Frinton on sea and my first time to this Indian restaurant. We found this restaurant by chance as it was located on the main road to the seaside. Excellent food. Top service. Lovely decor. Plenty of parking as it has its own car park. We went there on Sunday night and had the Sunday buffet. Great value on the Sunday buffet and loved the generous structure of the Sunday buffet too. Both the staff and customers were friendly with our fellow customers telling us how great the food is!

Delicious food! Spot on cuisine. Very little to no Indian places around this area. This is an absolute gem of a place that can tell takes pride in the food they serve. It's a shame I live far away, as I'd be visiting this place on a regular basis!

Tasty food, but not quite as hot as you would expect. The delivery drive may have spent some time trying to find my address but none the less all the food was very good and flavoursome would recommend to others and order an Indian meal from there again.

We order from here quite regularly but this time was the best meal we’ve had! Great quality chicken and lots of flavour.

Amazing food and service. Family all agreed that this is the best Indian food they have every eaten. Everything about the evening was 10/10. Relaxed atmosphere, no hurry to get you served and out of the place. Poppadoms and chutneys served, drinks order taken and served, then food order taken. Couldn't find fault with anything! They even had a high chair for my grandson!

Lovely little find after a day at the lifehouse spa, only 5 min drive, very nice staff very welcoming happy to help, food really tasty we had Sunday buffet eat what as much as you can , very clean, not rushed, nice & relaxing atmosphere 😋 good value for money

Have been a fan of Mossla for a while and like most restaurants things change over time. Visited recently for the first time in about a year or so as I'm no longer local, I'm happy to say they've still got it. Thoroughly enjoyable meal with just enough left over to take home for lunch the next day. Delish!

I literally can't put in words how impressed by the food we had, everything we had you could tell was cooked and made fresh most likely there and then! the onion bahjis should be a national winner! absolutely beautiful! thank you! can't wait to order again!!!

Was local visiting family and did a google search for Indian restaurants in the area. What a great find, food was delicious and service was great. Can highly recommend, we had a variety of dishes curries, side dishes and appetisers - all cooked well and tasty. Will be back. Thank you

Ordered a meal, ordered two mains, two rice, two Naans, a portion of samosas and a couple of poppadoms. Order came to a little over £40 seemed a little expensive so we checked the online menu as we wondered if something else had been put onto our order. The order didn't add up according to the menu so we rang up and asked. They stated they had charged us about £4 for two dips that come with the popadoms which we hadn't asked for or been told half of which comes free with the £4 samosas anyway (usually free with popadoms from most other restaurants). They had also charged is £9.50 for a chicken tikka massala (wow), online menu states £7.50. Staff and manager were incredibly rude and accusationary, we asked to cancel our order more due to the response rather than the cost/mistake. Instead of offering an apology told us "to check the menu prices first before ordering" despite knowing the prices on the menu are wrong and adding on items not asked for. They said they couldn't cancel the order as the order had already left (we were told an hour for delivery it had been about 15 mins) and instead offered to knock £5 off the amended bill. Would rather of just received an apology and decent service. Food was OK to Good, my Ceylon sauce was really nice but the chicken in both dishes was dry. Popadoms had been decimated and the bag was leaking. Portion sizes are below average especialy for the price. Wouldnt order again due to the poor customer service.

Consistently 5 stars! Staff, food and atmosphere is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. Also great for hosting private parties, we hosted our engagement party here and had the best evening with our family and closest friends.

By far the best Indian restaurant around wouldn't go anywhere else

Food was great as always and as always the food was late not the normal 10 or15 minutes which is except able but 40minutes and the food was going cold so had to reheat it all.

We eat in Indian restaurants regularly now the food was ok apart from the chicken that was extremely salty and I would say was turning and I ordered paratha naan and what arrived was a naan bread that had been rolled flat and put in frying pan now when asked the waiter he tried telling me it was what I ordered then the boss come over and admitted it was not but not great overall

Surpassed expectations for a village curry house although the portion sizes are small compared to the cost. Had a take away with mum a few years after my first review m, the food was decent, a little too much ghee for my liking and the portion sizes are still tiny compared to the cost. The Vindaloo isn't all that hot but the special Jalfrezi is a masterpiece.

First time here and most impressed. We dined on a Saturday about 7pm, they were very busy but found us a table, the service was prompt, well organised and the food came out quite quickly. Everything from popadoms to main courses were delicious. Plates and serving dishes all nice and hot so for us slow eaters it kept everything fresh and warm. Brinjil Bahgee great. It was all excellent. Better than the Elmstead Spice we think. We look forward to our next meal there. Well done everyone.

We went on a Saturday eve there was hardly anyone in there except a rather loud family. We ate the meal and then went to pay OMG we had no starters, two drinks, no desert 75.00 pounds. Never will I be going back no wonder it is empty.

Food amazing always good, delivery so slow if I order on phone with free collection it’s about an hour if I order on phone with delivery about an hour if I order on just eat and pay delivery it’s two hours+ which is ridiculous

Came here for my son’s birthday, the food was AMAZING! The best Indian food I have ever had! Service was really good but would advise booking, on a Tuesday as it gets very busy, although the staff manage it so well. The only slight downside was the state of the toilets, could do with more regular checks.

Called at Mossla to meet up with an old friend as I was in the area. We had been there a year ago. We were not disappointed, although put a little table that was a bit cramped. Just as our starter came, they moved us to a bigger table. The food they served was excellent, the service attentive without being to much. A pleasant evening. Look forward to a return visit

The food was excellent as was the service. The decor is subtle and well maintained. A very nice place to be.

This was the first time we had eaten here. The restaurant is in very good decor with plenty of room between tables. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent throughout our meal. The meals we ordered were delicious and plentiful. Meals are very reasonably priced too. All in all a great experience. We are already planning on coming back in a couple of weeks with our friends.

If you spend £5.50 on a paneer dish, you expect more than 4 dice sized cubes. The Veg paratha was just pure spinach, and no other vegetables. Feels like they're trying to cut costs, which would be okay if the price was reflective of that.

Delicious and authentic as always with more vegetarian options to chose from than most. Only down point was my husband didn’t get the salad his tandoori chicken was meant to come with.

My favourite Indian restaurant by far!! Will always come here, very accommodating and the food is brilliant! Tastes like a proper London curry! Full of flavour, spicy (if that's your thing) lots of specials. And they do a banquet night which is great! Best curry in Essex area! Vindaloo has got a kick! And the waiters and waitresses are lovely as well!

I received a phone call for who I thought was the delivery driver struggle to communicate with her shouted off the balcony to get her attention she threw rubbish on the floor and drove away I called the store was told management would call me back they never have I have never received my food and the app said it was delivered I believe this was the store delivery driver not just eat ***Edit /reply to comment*** Just eat refund me, I don't want anything to do with your store

Waited over an hour for the worst Indian meal I have ever had. The chicken was chewy and clearly cheap and poorly cooked. Words can’t describe how disappointed we were with the quality which did not represent the cost. Shall not be returning.

I've had better Indian food. We had a party of about 20 of us and we were cramped in. No room to move.

Ordered at 7.00 for 7.30-8.00 delivery turned up at gone 9pm (too late to eat!) tried phoning restaurant and was left waiting to be eventually told it was being packed! At 8.45 I live 5mins by car from there paid £2 delivery took another 25mins to reach us! Terrible service! Never again!

Amazing food, best korma I’ve ever had.

Nice food love this place but I asked for mint sauce and didn’t get it. Spent almost £50 and no mint sauce, just didn’t think it was to much to ask, other than that amazing food

First time eating here , after moving here over 2 yrs ago , and couldn’t fault it , me and my husband both really enjoyed the food , will definitely be returning .

Beautiful food and nice restaurant

Service: waiters are hit and miss, manager/senior ones good, youngsters mainly poor. Food: just been fleeced.(new year's eve) when charged twice for a starter platter for two. Main dishes generally OK (although some have underlying taste of ketchup) naga very good but not everyone likes hot food. Restaurant: very clean. Been regulars for two years since we moved to Kirby Cross, originally very impressed but have come away more and more disappointed after.eating there. Tonight was the final straw. Pity. British India is a drive rather than a walk but are consistent. Yes should have said something but daughter felt unwell and had to leave quickly (unrelated).

NYE fun. Food was fine, fairly standard curry. What was lacking was the service. Turned up for my 45 mins collection as instructed, was told it was nearly ready as I paid over a hundred pounds for my order, and then waited for half an hour. When my food finally arrived I wanted to check it was all there. The front of house man kept asking me to leave and do it at home, and if there was something missing he’d have it delivered as he had loads of drivers. I explained that I’d driven a while and waited a full hour, so wanted to make sure I had all my food. He attempted to get me to leave three times. It then transpired I was missing a chicken dish. He got annoyed that I didn’t now which one, even though I explained that they weren’t named so I could just see I was missing either my balti or Manchurian. He then told me to leave again, work out what was missing at home, and then he’d have that delivered. What a ridiculous thing to say when I was stood there. He then inspected them and said I was missing the balti. I waited a further five or so mins for them to make it. Upon arriving home and dishing up it became clear the manchurian chicken was missing, and I had two Baltis. We just ate them instead. Many people would have just been hurried out by this person, as he tried to be insistent on me not checking it there, despite being happy having a number of us sat there for an hour waiting for our food. I imagine if I’d got home to spot it missing, then rung, I’d have been waiting until 2023 for my dish.
