We were staying at Seawick Holiday Park and they delivered on time to the site entrance. Chicken Madras, pilau rice, salad aloo, aloo Gobi, naan breads and poppadoms. Excellent. Tasty hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend. Ordered by phone and very polite. Thank you.

Just went for dinner at the Baltic house. Pricing was reasonable and the food was very good. Would definitely return.

Take Away: Great value, good food. We had 2 peshwari naans, 2 pilau rice, a chicken Lorna, and a korma sauce, and it came to £20. Nice flavours.

This is a outstanding indian restaurant. The food is outstanding, and I been to multiple restaurants over the years. I am writing this after the second time of attending. Nothing has changed. Do not be put off by stupid clowns posting negative reviews. Try it for yourself and you be impressed.

Very small intimate restaurant so book as very popular. Excellent food, tasted fresh highly recommend chapoti chicken, never heard but beautiful flavour and fresh spices.

Ignore negative reviews,found the food to be excellent,couldn't eat it all,so took some doggy bags away with us.ahmed was a very nice chap who served us.very friendly staff and tasty food. Very reasonable prices

Sat in with friends for a bd meal. Not great, drink was spilt all over my hubbie, my food was swimming in oil/grease. Have had take away from here before, the first time it was lovely, the 2nd time not too bad, then we visited to eat in. Will not be returning nor eating take away from here.

Very very pleased! We ordered a big takeaway meal on New Year's Eve. The food was delicious, everyone was very pleased. Took about 35 mins from order to pick-up, which I thought was good considering it was the start of a busy evening. Just enough time for a pint in the lovely pub on the corner. Really good Indian, will absolutely order from here next time we're in the area. It also looked great as an eat-in option. Very friendly staff!

Used to be a loyal customer....last meal was not worth the £50 paid...its such a shame as the food used to be good. Prices have gone up which I completely understand, but quality has gone down. Curries were very runny and seemed to be bulked out with potatoes now instead of meat (4 pieces) Naan breads also now really small and soggy. Not sure what has happened to the place but I cook better tasting curries at home. Was also told that the discount on collection of order would only be applied if payment was made in cash, even though this was not stated anywhere on menu...no customer service.

Recently ordered from The Balti House when visiting the area. Collected food but had a query over cost, so double checked at point of collection, an extra £5 had been added to the bill. Staff didn't seem that bothered but ended up taking it off the bill. Overall expensive for what we ordered, and food wasn't as amazing or testy as others have made out.

Management and staff extremely rude. Huffing and puffing if you take too long to read the menu to choose what you’d like. Won’t even serve glasses of wine have to buy the bottle. If you have a question to ask about the menu don’t bother because your be belittled in-front of all the other customers.

Always enjoy it here great service but aware MUTTON really does mean old lamb so if you have lamb dishes it's not for you

Rude staff have no care for customers at all just your money wouldn’t bother going if you want to enjoy a nice meal because you don’t get a friendly atmosphere with it. Went with a family of 12 and manager was rude and wouldn’t accept separate bills and told us he isn’t doing it and became very aggressive and abrupt towards us all to the point we all walked out and didn’t eat. Expressed how his been there for 35 years and his just fine I’d like to see how more longer her remains with that attitude

Booked in advance for family of 9. Food was beautiful. Service was disgraceful. Very rudely. Refused to write separate tickets & Refused to take separate payments. Staff became loud & argumentative in front of children. Told in future they accept separate payments if Sat on separate tables. Charged £9 for mango chutney that no one ordered. Told 1 member has to pay the full bill. Refused master card payment. We spent te next hour working out who had what & how much it cost. Not our job to do this after spending almost £200. Really embarrassing awful experience & will definitely not be going back. Younger manager with glasses has no place dealing general public.

We usually buy take away food from here and its always been tasty. However, we recently sat in and had dinner here with friends and im sad to say my food wasnt great. I cannot speak for others but mine was swimming in oil, it tasted unusual ( only way of describing it) and i had a very bad stomach for about 2 days following. We will not be eating from here again.

Our favorite curry restaurant, and believe me, we have tried many, here and abroad, it always reminds me of the 70's curries, no smart herbs and spices, just authentic Indian food, nice people too, the owner, Hussein often cooks himself, and we don't like Coriander, no problem for them though, as its all cooked fresh, unlike others who just pick it out, leaving its perfumed scent behind, I'd be surprised if you had it once, and never returned, if you are a true curry fan UPDATE Just had the Lamb Towa….it is beautiful, so tender, so tasty…👌

We have been here quite a few times. The food is always hot & tasty. Tonight did not dissapoint Both really enjoyed lovely meals. All the staff are very professional & friendly. Ahmed was also great fun.

Had a takeaway from this place. We are very up to speed with curries as we enjoy curries for many years when the food came me and my wife opened the cartons and the main meals were full of oil and smell of barbecue sauce. They were very runny and taste disgusting. We actually threw the whole lot away. We will be never using this Indian again, and to top it off, it’s one of the most expensive takeaways with ever read for a curry never again

Ordered a jalfrezi, tasted lovely until I bit into a chilli that shouldn't have been in the dish, ruined the rest of my evening. Mouth was on fire. Paid the full bill even though I shouldn't have and wanted to take the full itemised bill and the staff argued to get it back. I said no I'm entitled to the full bill and walked out and was shouted at "don't come back"

This is not Indian food. Biryani was not biryani. No flavour, no spice, too sweet, overpriced. The tikka masala and nan bread are sweet. I appreciate the complimentary sauce but there’s no flavour and wasn’t eaten.

I just attempted to place an order for collection and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Despite being told to hold for just a moment, I ended up waiting on the line for a whopping 15 minutes. During this time, I could hear all the background conversations taking place at the restaurant, which didn't make the wait any more bearable. To top it all off, they disconnected me before even getting the chance to place my order. Overall, my experience left a lot to be desired and I would caution others before attempting to place an order with this establishment.

There was a group of us that went for a girlie night , and as usual the food was out of this world , We’ve always said it ,, it’s the best Indian ever , food is excellent & the service is excellent , all staff so very helpful & attentive. We will be going back next week (November )

Really lovely meals. We went twice,once during the week & once on a saturday. The service was great during the week,but,quite a wait for our meals on the Saturday. Would definitely still recommend & will be returning

Very small portions & small nan breads. I had a peshwari & all it had in it was coconut. Tasty but small, not that cheap either.

Fantastic local restaurant. Best Indian restaurant around that we can find, especially since the Blue Sari closed. We eat there a couple of times a year and took friends there at the weekend. They were delighted. Super tasty food. Highly recommended.

Nice food, staff a bit stand offish though, reasonably priced

This Indian was a great find. It was suggested to us by friends who own a home at Haven. The food was fresh, amazing flavours and taste along with large portions. The samosas were some of the biggest we had seen. Staff we very nice and friendly. I would recommend to anyone near Clacton to try.

Stayed at Haven this week and took my neice here, was excellent food and their hospitality was top notch. No rushing just left to enjoy the good food. Would highly recommend anyone to try this place.

My partner and I came here on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my birthday, everything started great, they found us a table that was in a cool area on a hot evening and took our drinks order quickly. Popadoms arrived soon after and I asked for lime pickle that was responded with a shrug of the shoulders. We was asked if we are ready to order our meals so started to say what starters we wanted and the phone rang and Ali I believe his name was walked away to answer it leaving us waiting for him to come back! I even commented to my partner that maybe we should phone the restaurant to order our food as he was gone for 4 minutes. Eventually he came back to our table and took the rest of our order which was 2 starters, 2 main meals, 1 rice, 1 Nan bread and 2 vegetables. I couldn’t fault what I eat, it was delicious, my partners meal was horrible, tasteless and unappealing. We asked to take home what we couldn’t eat and was told to dish up at our table. I the. Asked for the bill and was presented with a receipt that was £10 too much, I inquired why it was so much when we ordered the banquet menu and the response was “why didn’t you tell me you wanted to order from the banquet menu?” I replied with we ordered 2 starters, 2 main meals, 1 rice, 1 naan and 2 vegetables which is required. He was trying to tell us off and it didn’t work. So he then tip-exed the price off the bill and handed it back, maybe if he hadn’t prioritised answering a phone whilst taking our order we would have told him we were there for the Banquet menu, why would we order the same amount of courses and pay full price? Anyway we were there for over an hour and didn’t see anyone else come in to eat, before we left I told our waiter that I can understand their language and know they were saying bad things about us. It didn’t ruin my birthday because hopefully this review will make a lot of people think twice before they celebrate theirs here.

We ordered a large takeaway for five persons, which was made easy by the polite and helpful manner of the owner and his staff. Every part of the order was spot on and there was nothing to fault. The meal was delicious, and we will return soon. Just to add, The Balti House is a restaurant as well as take away.

The food is of a very high standard made with good quality ingredients. Service was very attentive. Would highly recommend for really good Indian food!

Really great food and brilliant service by Hel Al, treats you like one of the family, a good night had by all.

Had the food delivered, the restaurant is 3 mins down the road and food was near enough cold, every single dish! They didn’t deliver the starter we order either. When I called them to tell them the food was cold, they argued with me telling me that it could not possibly be cold and the onion bargi (that was missing) was on the bill so I should have it. Basically calling me a liar. After their stinking attitude they said they will discount me next time. THERE WILL NOt BE A NEXT TIME! Spoke to the manager and he was even more rude! Telling me he is not wasting his time speaking to me. AVOID!

We ordered a takeaway from here tonight and realised our rice was missing , I phoned to let them know and they said that the rice was not on the order which is odd because the person who took my order over the phone relayed my order to me which included rice so we ended up being totally ripped off and payed £25 for 2 curries 1 naan bread 2 poppadums and 2 samosas and if this is the way they treat customers then it’s disgusting.
