The best restaurants serving Indian food in Amber Valley East Midlands

Now we're huge curry fans so we are always dubious about trying new Indian restaurants as we have been disappointed so many times. We have now had two takeaways from Rajput and I have to say, they were both really really good. Lots of depth of flavour you want from a curry. We're planning on taking family for a meal on Saturday so I hope it is of the same standard that we've enjoyed so far.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to, I came here last Friday with my 3 toddlers, the staff was very welcoming and the food was lovely, I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for great food, excellent customer service and great atmosphere.

Ordered their bbq chicken masala with naan. The naan were under cooked and chicken tasted Pathetic. Waste of money and time. Ruined my mood. Definitely I will not recommend it to anyone.

This is my 3rd time back here, food was great just as always. Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Bring your own drinks. You definitely will not be disappointed.

My partner and I ordered take away from this place. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Balti, my partner a CTM. What I got was both by visually, consistency and taste was chip shop curry sauce with tinned tomatoes added. The chicken pieces were manufactured and were solid. My partners CTM was the worst i have tasted. It tasted like a mouthful of Walnuts. Absolutely disgraceful. Truly the worst excuse for a curry I have had.

Nice atmosphere and great food. Service was prompt and always very attentive. Compete with one or two other restaurants nearby, but this is definitely the best one.

Our experience here on Sunday was exceptional from start to finish. We called in as were staying at the Travelodge on way home to Leeds from Alton Towers. The waitress was so friendly and made such an effort. All the food was faultless from the popodums and chutneys to the naanwich my sons (age 10.and 12) shared, the lamb keebab sizzler, curry recommended to my husband and the paneer curry i had. We all sampled a bit of everything and it was so fresh and delicious. It made a stop over night very memorable, we had never been to Alfreton before but agreed we'd be back for another curry one day!!! Thank you.

We had a takeaway delivery and cannot fault them. Food quality was perfect and delivery was at the time required exactly. Will certainly be ordering again.
