The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

We were staying near Kelso and after reading reviews decided to come here for dinner. I WHY ISN'T PUT IN AGAINt did not disappoint. Fantastic food and service! Very tasty. Would 100% recommend!

The worst Indian food i have ever had, cheese naan had barely any cheese in it, they admitted their chips are cheap frozen oven chips, and the hariali curry was nothing like a hariali at all, chefs mixed kebab starter doesnt come with any bhajis so had to order those seperate, total waste of £33, when ringing up was told theyre happy to just accept a bad review online, this place takes no pride at all in their business or their food, these photos are the leftovers the next day as we didnt eat it and its going in the bin.

1st time at this restaurant after moving house to bidford..one of the best Currys I have had in a long time .starter was lovely and the curry had so much flavour service was excellent and the bill was very reasonable.. well worth a visit... Derek

I called this restaurant to inquire about hosting an event. The staff member was rude and hung up on me. When I called back, the manager shouted at me, blamed me, and showed no professionalism. I was shocked by the lack of customer service and respect. I definitely do not recommend this place for events or dining.

We had friends visiting and wanted to take them somewhere with great food. We booked a table for 7.30pm and upon arrival were told the table wasn’t ready so we took a seat in the bar to wait. After 15 minutes we were taken to our table. To cut a long story short we were provided with poppadoms as a starter after around 30 minutes and had to wait until 9.30pm (2 hours after arriving) before the main course arrived. By this point we were fed up with waiting and our friends couldn’t eat their mains as it was too late into the evening. So we ended up leaving after a two hour visit where we had just 2 poppadoms each and a doggy bag. The experience ruined what should have been a great night out with close friends. Disappointing as the food really is excellent if you can actually get it.

Another wonderful meal, without a doubt the best restaurant of this type in the area. Have been several times and always the same great standard unlike a lot of places where the food isn’t consistent.

Lovely food always consistent with quality and quantity. Our favourite local Indian restaurant. Love the cheese and garlic naan and the prawn puri delicious.

Excelente lugar para degustar verdadera comida asiática, los curris son simplemente deliciosos y el ambiente muy agradable, musica hermosa y el trato es simplemente espectacular, cuentan con estacionamiento. Chicken bálti king prawn zafrani, espectacular es bueno buscar alguna recomendacion nueva.

We were spending a weekend away near Torrington, North Devon and rather fancied a take-away curry. Having not ordered from the Indian Ocean restaurant before, we were a bit apprehensive as to when and what might be delivered. We need not have worried, as the food was great, the price very reasonable and the service excellent 😀. The quality of the food was very good and the portion sizes bigger than our local curry house. Also we were staying about 6 miles away, no problem, food delivered on time and still piping hot. Most definitely recommend the Indian Ocean restaurant, Holsworthy if you’re in the area and fancy a curry 👍👍.
