So innocent from the outside as an pub previously. But then Wow simple decor, but the food and service absolutely amazing, and freshly cooked to order, never been before but certainly going back, places like this are few and far between, and would highly recommend. Lino Len

The whole evening was very good. Food was excellent and a good choice of beers. Loved it and will keep returning everyone commented on how relaxed it felt and how good the food tasted.

Just come for the food! Relaxed atmosphere, but the main attraction is the impeccable cuisine. Love the tandoori items- and their curries are authentic. Very reasonably priced as well: great value!

The original chef and his team have left and opened a new restaurant in Stourbridge called The Yak. The food was still good but not as good as it used to be. What really let it down was the service, starters and mains being brought out at the same and having to wait for cutlery.

Used to be the stand out curry in the area, sadly the chef and his team have gone and it's just not the same. Someone must know please?!

Phoned through for a takeaway on the day before the lockdown. Asked for a large mix grill & 2 curries. Got home, found there were no kebabs or sheekh kebabs! Disgraceful. If they had mentioned they did not have any, i would have changed the order!

Can’t speak highly enough about this place - the food was amazing. Just wish there were more places like this in London and surrounding areas. Best authentic punjabi food I’ve had in any restaurant.

Atmosphere is very relaxed and family friendly. Food is amazing mainly due to the Head Chef Mr Regmi who insists on using fresh ingredients and always cooking your order fresh...NOT warmed up after cooking. He has a passion and it shows.

Visited multiple time. Food always excellent. Especially liked prawn and lamb dishes. Highly recommended.

I've been here a few times now with friends that are local to the area, and it's been fantastic every time! It's not a fancy looking restaurant, but it's always full of locals and the food is honestly delicious. We have the mixed grill every time, with the famous lamb chops, and various curries and naans. I've never not liked any of the dishes, but we still always have food left after we slip into the inevitable food comas, there's just too much!! They let you take a doggy bag home though, which I'd recommend as well because it's just as yummy the next morning when you heat it up!

I went with around 8 other friends for a catchup and it was lovely. The food was delicious! I had the saag aloo, shared some masala fries and so peshwari naan - never tried it before but it literally tasted like a pancake! Really nice place, nice food and really good prices Would go again :)

Following a recommendation from a friend my wife and I visited early evening yesterday on the way home from work. First things first, this isn’t a restaurant or gastropub - it’s a fairly tatty boozer that does Indian food - and it does it very well!! Reasonably priced drinks (sadly no real ale or craft beer available, just bog standard fizz). Food is ordered from the kitchen window at the rear of the pub. Cards are accepted. Child friendly too. I’ve attached photos of the menu. We ordered a large mixed grill, masala chips and chilli naan between us and we couldn’t finish it! The quality of the food is excellent, just as good if not better than the more well known Desi pubs in the area, such as The Vine. But better than that the prices are more reasonable! Would I go again? Definitely.

First visit, I've driven past here a thousand times but never noticed it ! Pub/restaurant could so with a small refurb, nothing major, but the food was top drawer, we go to many of this type of grill pub and could not fault it, friendly staff, good selection of beer, we will return soon !

Went there for few pints and food with family, the lagers were fresh and crisp but food was ok not great as compared to my last visit here !! Overall the atmosphere was ok with many locals...just need little bit of tweaking in food.

Cannot fault the food or the beer. Interior just needs a bit of TLC, windowsills and walls starting to look a bit grubby. Sometimes the wait for food has been over 40 minutes as well. However, the food is very good. Never had a bad meal or a bad pint. Friendly bar staff and owner.

I would give a 5 star however the chef stated no lamb chops at the £7 portion, however lamb chops were being served on mixed grills...bit cheeky of the chef!!! Regardless...sheekh kebab cut into two long portions, chicken balti and masala chips absolutely delicious. I will re-rate the British queen once I've tried the lamb chops which I heard to be outstanding!!!

Everything cooked fresh to perfection. We often end up here...family and friends we all love the food. Keep it up!

AMAZING!!! We have been going for years and this is the best indian grill in west midlands and we have tried over 10 different places! Butter chicken, lamb khadai, sheesh kebab, wings and biryani are spot on, delicious, amazing, 10/10... cannot fault it. They are family friendly and have a little playground in the beer garden.

Found this place by chance This is simply the best place for food that is cooked the way it is in punjab houses.So give it a try you will not disappointed.

Visited this establishment on a number of occasions over the years with family or friends. I have always enjoyed the food and service. More recently it seems to be getting more and more popular. The mix grills and lamb curries are fantastic.

Best mixed grill I have ever ate. Especially the kebabs and cheese naan. I have it every weekend!!!!!

Found this by word of mouth and we're so glad we did. Fabulous meal in casual surroundings. Family meal out due to a birthday, eldest 63 youngest 11 yrs old. Has stairs to enter the main seating and bar area (i didn't notice any other access) that's it's only down side. TV's everywhere showing sport channels so the men in our party were very happy. The drinks were well priced and the meal was amazing, a little on the hot side compared with our usual but it seemed very authentic cooking. Potion size, especially the starters were very generous. Staff were friendly and polite. We will be back to try some more dishes very soon.

These guys have upped their game since i was here over a year ago. The food is a lot better which is good to see.

Our first visit, had the large mixed grill, maybe a bit smaller than some other grill pubs, but also reasonably priced. Really tasty and well cooked. Clientele all male probably due to football on the many screens. Well worth a visit

Everything I have tasted here is 10/10 absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend! Very authentic and everyone I know says the same even better than any Indian restaurant I've been to top draw.

How has this place not got more reviews? one of the best Indian bbq's in Birmingham, black country. Very tasty food and everything tastes different, as it should. very standard pub inside, but food is top.

Great food at this pub. Very tasty and cooked well plus drinks very well priced. Nice conservatory area also.

Been coming here for a while now and I feel the need to try to spread the word. The food here is amazing, great tastes, great smells, looks brilliant. This is the closest you will get to authentic indian food that you will find outside of Goa. The chef is a marvel. The gaffer always makes you welcome and keeps a good beer. Catch it whilst it's still oldburys secret.

Me and a few friends come here regularly and I feel I had to write this review as I would be doing the place an injustice if I didn't.The chef here is a very talented guy, he consistently cooks excellent food. It's always fresh and extremely tasty. His lamb chops are the best I have ever eaten and every curry on the menu is authentic and very tasty. Basically come here, have a few beers, order whatever you fancy off the menu and you are more of less guaranteed an excellent meal.Top quality.

Always go here for a curry beautiful all times. Chef makes the food the way you request but as it comes is nice as well will recommend always.

Nice newly refurbished pub serving good Indian freshly cooked food. Worth a try for lunch and/or dinner. The only draw back is the poor parking.

I have been using this pub for a while now and I think they deserve this review. The food is spot on especially the chicken tikka which Is served on a sizzling hot platter with onions, the portion size is very good and you get the dips in large bottles so you can have plenty. The nan bread is nice and thin and very good especially as they only cost £1.00 and they also sell a nice pint of Cobra larger at the bar.

Have visited this pub a fair few times over the years, and the food has always been decent. Recently, they had a refurb, and the place doesn't smell bad (it did previously), the food has also improved. Good place for a Desi Mixed Grill & a curry.
