Lovely food, Great prices and delivered on time. Ordered for 6 adults on a Sunday evening and the food was beautiful. The best in the area.

Ordered a take away this evening and it was lovely. First time from the Raj and it will not be the last. Best we've had for a long time. Chicken Madras Asian Style perfect. Lamb Sag perfect. Nan bread fluffy and delicious. Rice lovely. Cheers Guys.

The food and service we experienced was fantastic. Far better than we expected having never been before. I can’t wait to return.

Visited here on a Friday night in early January. Everything was exceptional from start to finish. Warm and friendly service, piping hot food, very generous portions and exceptional quality. The garlic butter chicken masala was bursting with flavour, onion rice was plentiful, the naan bread light and fluffy. We were even given some free poppadums and delicious dips. Highly recommend a visit here and will be back again soon.

Absolutely got ripped off from this place, £119 for 3 people to eat on New Year’s Eve and one off them people only eat a starter. This is a crime to charge this amount off money and will not be going there again based on being charged this much

Fantastic restaurant, food is truly amazing, really good quality, owner sells his restaurant on the quality of the food and has a GREAT CHEF.... All the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, they have fantastic customer care skills and always have time for you, especially Shaz, who is a credit to the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a great Indian meal a brilliant addition to Swinton's curry restaurants. Try the Honey Balti Chicken, really nice and I personally have not found it in any other restaurant.

We have used this curry house numerous times for delivery and service has been prompt and the food good. Unfortunately, today has been a different experience. Ordering a delivery online for 6.15 pm, which was accepted, it is now 7.40 and still no sign of our food. I have rung twice to be told it is on the way, ant the driver has left. 20 minutes late and still no food. So disappointing. The gentleman on the phone was very unhelpful. I think they have now lost a frequent customer

In our opinion this place is great. We've eaten in and had many takeaways delivered, all being perfect! The restaurant is no frills, but who needs LED lights everywhere!! The front of house guy is great, very friendly and polite. They don't serve alcohol, but have no problem with you taking your own. We've eaten in many Indian restaurants (cheap & expensive) and The British Raj is definitely up there with the best. Most importantly the food is delicious!!!

Bought a special take away from the menu on line . Food brilliant. Delivery quick . Our favourite shut down so been looking for another one to use . No bland curries here very favour-some . Been eating Indian/Pakistan food for decades so know a good place to visit and eat great food thank you . Will place another order again soon

From start to finish all excellent, poppadoms, starters of mixed kebab and fish,main meal chicken sylhetti (huge so shared),mushroom rice and the best peshwari naan we have ever had Service prompt, you take your own wine so you know what you are getting so it brings the cost down For a Friday night it was very quiet so no usual buzz but apart from that a must visit

First time visited since the restaurant changed hands, and have to say I will be visiting this establishment again. Their shared platter for 2 were very generous portions, and the main meal of chickens shashlik was equally generous, the curry sauce was flavoursome and the lemon rice was to die for. My son and myself will definitely become regular diners at this little cosy restaurant. Staff are very courteous and service was excellent. If your around the area, give this small restaurant a try you won’t be disappointed.

Just had an amazing 21st birthday party there for 23 people. The food was amazing and the service perfect. Nothing was too much trouble . Will definitely go there again and order my take away from there as well.
