The waiting time it give me was well over an hour, when the food arrived they forgot my poppadoms and the curry and rice I got was stone cold had to be put in the microwave I called the restaurant and the driver returned about half an hour later with my poppadoms food tasted good once it was warmed up just the delivery service needs to improve

Curry was not like it usually is. Was very dry. Didn’t eat it.

Everything is usually perfect, still given full marks though. The Tarka daal leaked and I had oil dripping through my house! I think the heavy tubs were placed on top of it. The baingan didn’t have much taste this time, everything still got eaten!

Visited on Xmas Day,and as you would expect it was super busy,We were a party of eleven so we did expect a delay which there was!! Anyway once that was sorted out the service was excellent!! The food served was superb, and the staff were very attentive. Would seriously recommend this restaurant to anybody who likes good food!!

Dined here on a recommendation ordered three different curries, all arrived hot but looked the the same like tandoori, one tasted shop bought my husband stated, the rest not flavoursome just hot without taste, starters were nice, rice okay, service was good, drinks expensive,it was disapointing to sa y the least as we left the mains choosing not to box out, £140 and we are home ordering a takeout! Was trying further to booking a large party of twenty, we wont bother now but thanks to staff for the good service however food not to our liking..

Finally found a decent curry house in Manchester. I can be quite critical of indian food being of Indian decent and having sampled a fair few Indian restaurants across the world. However would happily recommend this place and eat thier again which is a positive and there are very few Indian restaurants that tick the boxes for me in Manchester.

Fantastic meal and great service, free parking outside, nice atmosphere. Poppadoms starter were great with fresh chutneys which were really tasty. We had special mixed grill and paneer shashlik, mushroom rice, one portion plenty for two people, peshwari Naan and chips. Highly recommended👍👍will definitely return

Chips were soggy and cold. Chicken tikka masala was cold, coloured brown and had a really strange taste, unlike any tikka Iv ever had, wasn’t eatable. Shame as food from here has always been ok but I will never order from here again.

Rang up to order, was asked to wait a minute, waited for 3 minutes hearing talking in the background. Hung up and called back. Ordered food. Was told it would be 30 minutes. Turn up 30 minutes later, stand there being ignored for 5 minutes. Ask someone if my takeout order is ready, he says he will find out, I see him a few minutes later serving drinks. Ask someone else if my order is ready, he says he will find out, see him a few minutes later waiting tables. Stand around pissed off for 5 minutes. Second guy comes back, says it'll be 10 more minutes. I wait 20 more minutes, ask someone if my order is ready yet. It is, sat there waiting. Get home, curry is missing. Ring the restaurant and speak to the manager, he says he will personally deliver the missing curry. It's now been over an hour and he never turned up. Don't think I'll be going back. Edit. I did contact you to resolve the issue. You said you would bring the missing curry but never turned up.

Food is okay, extremely spicy, even the kebab starter. All cold and needed reheating for 2nd time, gave benefit of the doubt the first time, however, given all that, there won’t be a 3rd time.

We went to Spirit and Spice last night for my husbands 50th birthday party, there were 24 of ranging from 4 to 74 years old. The food was amazing, the staff were brilliant. We were in the side room which was perfect for moving around and chatting between courses. Shah and the team looked after us like we were the only people in the restaurant, which was actually packed with at least 4 other parties. We don’t live in Manchester but chose this place on family recommendation and would definately pass that recommendation on. Good value for money and the drinks are good too. Fab night - thanks!

Sorry to say, but food was not all as per expectation. Lamb sheek and lamb curry were both smelling....couldn't enjoy at all. Gulab jambu were below average. The ambience is nice 👌Chicken tikka in starters were nice.

I had order 2 hidrabadi chicken biriyani. It was delicious and good quilty.

Placed order on Uber eats when arrived it wasn’t in a sealed bag the food was lukewarm at best. Onion bhajis was rubbery and hardly anything to them at £4.50 is crazy. £3.20 for chutney when the tubs comes TINY is a joke when you order 3 poppadoms. Also the curry had a weird taste for a tikka masala felt like something was added that wasn’t in the recipe. Used to be a lovely restaurant to sit in and takeaway but won’t bother again if this is food quality you serve

Chicken Karahi and Lamb Rogan Josh was sublime. But they forgot the poppadoms 😢 First time ever having a curry without poppadoms, and hopefully the last! Was reimbursed nonetheless but still struggling to get over it haha.

really unhappy with the delivery time and the food was barely warm when opened. we managed to eat a small amount of it due to being hungry and having waited so long, but the majority ended up getting put into the bin unfortunately. I would like a refund for some of the amount paid, as a considerable amount of food was paid for and not at a temperature that was edible.

Lovely but late…. Really delicious food, I cannot complain in any way about the quality of our order. Unfortunately, it was late and we had to warm it up. I didn’t realise the distance of the restaurant from my home. 5* food!

Shocking..food delivery was almost hour and half late..part order and missing items

RIP OFF!!! Just got a takeaway which came to £48. There was only half the amount of poppadoms that we paid for, we asked for tandoori chicken but it was chicken tikka, but the worst part was the portion sizes. Apart from the nan breads everything else was like a child’s portion. Most takeaways use the standard foil trays which are the perfect portion size but S&S have had their own made and they’re unbelievably small! The prices do not replicate the quality and size of the meals!

I experienced a Bombay inspired Brunch today, from Spices and Spirits and I can honestly say that it was a taste sensation. From the sweetness of the samosas, the tasty south Indian Chicken, Okra Fries and the desserts were so tasty. I will be visiting very soon and will make recommendations to friends, colleagues and family as the whole team really take pride in their offerring and service . Highly recommend - delicious!!!!

Arrived here just today around 6:00ish with my family for a lovely meal here, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The decor inside was very inviting and comforting, giving the general atmosphere a sense of warmth and vibrancy I ordered for myself the rajma masala as a main with basmati rice, and the others ordered a chicken bhuna with mushroom rice and a peshwari naan, and a mixed starter for one with 3 onion bhajis. (I failed to mention the poppadoms because i already feel that’s what you always tend to get from an Indian.) 15-20 minutes after we ordered, it all arrived! Presentation was surprisingly good on first glance, and we all couldn’t wait to tuck in. First things first, my rajma masala tasted exactly how it was presented. Utterly, mouth-wateringly delicious. All those signature Indian spices, blended into a flavoursome concoction of depth and texture. I really, really loved the meal i was served. Quite honestly the best Indian curry i’ve had, EVER! Everybody’s else’s tasted spectacular just like mine’s was. And the service was just brilliant, absolutely superb. Even offered us a complementary drink. I can only discern that they offer that for everybody, which in that case i can only give top, top marks for customer service. Overall, we all had an extremely pleasant and enjoyable experience. I just simply have no complaints whatsoever. 5/5 in all measurements, easily.
