Mohali Indian Restaurant in Dudley

We love Asian cuisine and over the past 50 years have eaten in restaurants all over the World. Every now and again you discover a diamond of an eatery and Mohali is the jewel in the crown. We visit at least once a week here and the food is exceptional. Freshly prepared sauces cooked to perfection by chef Mandeep. Last week on my recommendation a large group of people from Stourbridge football club had a trip over and they were blown away by the amazing food and service. If you're looking at somewhere to eat tonight give Mohali try- you won't regret it!

First visit for us and won’t be our last. Thought railway curry was fantastic but the naans were the best I’ve had in a long long time. Service was super friendly and we knew it was going to be a great trip from our first interaction with the waitress.

1st time here have tried other local Indian restaurants but omg this is a gem!!! Traditional Indian family run and fresh food that was absolutely delicious best Nan we have had I had bhuna and husband had balti and both were served in good time owners very friendly and chatted with us would highly recommend with traditional music playing made the atmosphere best by far around Halesowen!!!! Thank you for a good evening the chef is award winning and it shows!!

I never normally do reviews, we are new to Halesowen and wanted to find a good Indian Restaurant. We found it here lovely people, great service and the food was wonderful. Will definitely go again and again.

We have eaten in this restaurant twice now. On both occasions we were the only table occupied. The food is lovely & nicely cooked. However the wait for food is unacceptable. The poppadums came quickly but after that it was a long wait for starters and my son-in-law actually had to ask where our main meals were because we had waited so long. With only 5 people in the restaurant there can be no excuse. What on earth is the service like when they are busy?

Dropped in looking for a nice meal, had a beautiful meal and came back to try something different a week later. Intend to make this a regular venue.lovely fresh ingredients, amazing naan & poppadoms

My family went for dinner last night at Mohali. We were greeted by super friendly staff, who let us choose where we wanted to sit. The service was very quick and polite. Food was brilliant, one of the best curry’s I’ve had in a while, and the portions were the perfect size. Atmosphere was nice, and then after our meal the chef came out to ask how everything was which was a very nice touch. Would absolutely recommend.

Yet again another superb visit to the Mohali Indian Restaurant, food was excellent as usual and naan quality was outstanding, the staff too were polite and ready to help, also the deserts were quite appetising. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

An impromptu visit to a restaurant that one of us frequented under a previous name, and for which held fond memories. Disappointed is an understatement. Sadly, the visit wasn't what we expected. Every member of staff had a sullen face. It appeared that we were an inconvenience rather than treasured customers. We order 2 set meals and an additional vegetarian main. The flavours were beautiful. However the presentation was nothing like the pictures on the website. The lamb and chicken curry had 4 pieces of meat in each one!! So we had 2 pieces of lamb and 2 pieces of chicken each along with a couple of tablespoons of the vegetable side dishes. It stated on the menu that the accompainments and main dishes were refillable, however, the demeanor of the staff meant that we were put off asking. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. If we were to give any advice, it would be that a restaurant doesn't become successful on the food only. Most people would rather go somewhere where they feel welcomed and valued. If you're happy to forgo this as part of your fining experience, and you're happy with 4 small pieces of meat in your main dishes, this place is for you. On the upside, the naans were beautifully light, fluffy and crispy.

Excellent food, top quality ingredients and melt in the mouth lamb curry. Went for the first time tonight and wasn't disappointed. Had the privilege of meeting the chef Mandeep, he was an absolutely lovely fella, very welcoming and the staff was brilliant. Will definitely be dining in again!

This place if’s excellent. Not what you would expect from your local curry house. More like a top notch city centre restaurant. Really is worth a visit

First let me start by saying that this is NOT the Flute. The venue is the same but the staff are most definitely not! (Including the Chef) I have previously visited the Flute and had terrible experiences on every occasion. Mohali is on another level. This is an up and coming restaurant that I intend to make the most of before they leave us for the bright lights and expensive rents of the city centre! We ate here on Saturday evening. Although we didn’t have a booking the friendly staff were happy to serve us and we were shown to a table immediately. Drinks order was taken quickly, and arrived within minutes. We were offered poppadoms whilst we chose from the menu. These were crispy and fresh and the dips were very good quality. We ordered a Monkfish starter and a King Prawn fry starter. Both were EXCEPTIONAL! It’s fair to say we were absolutely blown away by the quality of these dishes. We were definitely looking forward to our mains, and they did not disappoint either. Railway lamb was to die for. Succulent pieces of lamb in a thick, flavoursome sauce was an absolute delight and the Kadai Gosht was excellent too. Chapatis were soft and fresh and the mushroom pilau was tasty. What we especially like about Mohali Restaurant, and what attracted us to try it, is the bespoke menu. Chicken, fish, lamb and vegetarian dishes we have never heard of. It’s always fun to try something new! For those that prefer to eat what they know, Mohali also offers a more traditional menu; korma, madras, jalfrezi etc and this shows their willingness to adapt to feedback from customers who prefer the more well known dishes. We have been fortunate enough to eat at the likes of Asha’s and Rajdoot in Birmingham City Centre… upmarket and quite pricey but a wonderful experience. I can honestly say that the quality of food served at Mohali’s rivals this. Chef Mandeep is clearly very skilled at what he does and we are very much looking forward to returning and bringing friends and family!

I have now eaten in at this restaurant twice and had two takeaways, only at this point do I feel justified to give a review. The food is excellent, a wide variety of proper Indian dishes now including all of the traditional favourites, the service is excellent and relaxed, no rush unless of course you want to. All in all a very good restaurant very quickly becoming my favourite.

Had a take away for the first time from here. It was absolutely delicious. The mushroom manchurian and chilli soya crispy chicken were particularly good. Will be back.

I have visited Mohali's countless times over the past few months. I used to be a regular when it was the Flute, and I loved the food then- But new owner Mohali has surpassed that! This is Asian cuisine at its very finest. I have tried most of the dishes and every one is superb. As I'm vegetarian sometimes menus are limited but not at Mohali's - there are so many options- and they also offer Quorn, which is a great addition to paneer. Chef Mohali wil also create anything for you that is not on the menu. All of the staff are brilliant too and very sociable. I also love the fact that Mohali takes time out to leave the kitchen and talk to customers. I cannot believe that someone has posted a 'one star' review. And they visited the restaurant in the first week of opening?! Very suspicious! I would take negative reviews like that one with a pinch of salt- Treat yourself to a fantastic meal there and make your own mind up- and I reckon that like me you'll be giving Mohali's a 5 star review.

If you haven’t been to the Mohali then it’s a must definitely the best Indian food I’ve ever had there are dishes in the menu I have never seen before, I can’t wait to go back on Friday

Had an another delivery from Mohali, as usual it was a great meal, Koli madras and lamb shank was mouth watering. Will definitely recommend everyone in Halesowen to give a try for this restaurant.

Went for a birthday celebration with the girls and had a fantastic time. The staff are so pleasant, friendly and attentive. I really love the food here and had my favourite Chettinad Chicken and pinched a bit of my sister's British Railway Curry. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a family meal. the service was excellent. the food was astronomical. Nothing was rushed. The taste of the food was delicious.. from the starters to the desserts. Menu has a varied chose of authentic recipes. from mild to hot dishes

Ordered takeaway this week and it was amazing! The food was delicious and they had great portions, which filled me up quite well. The taste was unique and different but was enjoyable. The deliver arrived on time and the people were very friendly 🙂
