The Ameena in Dudley

Had an amazing takeaway tonight. We ordered the chicken Madras and a chicken jalfrezi. It was honestly spot on,we really enjoyed it! It was super busy in there which is always a great sign. The staff were so friendly and welcoming And my 10 year old daughter really enjoyed her sweets and chocolates. This will 100% be our go to Indian restaurant now only being in Hayley Green.

What a amazing meal the food was absolutely delicious the service was fantastic ran by a really lovely family.... Thursday 6pm barely a table left.... very busy....see you next week carnt wait to try something else from your menu

Parking can be difficult as 1 hr restriction on main road so need to search side roads. . Staff very welcoming , atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Food excellent altho fish tandoori was not as expected.

Food is always tasty and consistent. Good service. Check your bill. This is the second time I have had to query it.

Delicious. One of the finer nargis kebabs! Sorry but no photos. Thrust it all into my face-hole much too quickly. Perhaps next time. There will definitely be a next time. Update: there was a next time and it's still wonderful. Run by the same family since 1974, 50th anniversary next year. They're not just doing something right, they're doing lots right. Update: May 9 2024. I ate in rather than getting a delivery. Oh wow! So much nicer than the usual best! Especially the chicken chat puree... The bread was bubbly, crisp and light. Amazing flavours. Wishing them another fifty years. 🌹

Awful would have been an improvement. Really not sure how this place gets such good reviews for such bland boring and tasteless food. Yes it was cheap but I now see why. Unless you want cheap and cheerful sub quality food I would avoid this.

We booked a table at the last minute for Saturday evening, When we arrived, it was there 50 years of trading. The food was very nice, staff lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back.

The ameena is a cracking place to go for a Cury and to eat. The food is top notch with a large variety of curries inside. The service was great when we order our food and drinks it came within 10 muinets on a busy night. Finaly the atmosphere was very nice with some great decor and very warm and cosy inside. All round a great 10/10 place

The Ameena is a great place for a family meal. There is a great selection on the menu , from vibrant curries for acquired tastes to chicken nuggets for fussy children. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and service , although the service may be ever so slightly biased as my family knows some people working there. Kid friendliness is amazing as there are fussy eater options and great desserts for children, such as an ice cream in a friendly bowl with a toy inside. You can always get a seat in here but that isn’t due to quality of the restaurant. Perfect for families that are large or small, perfect for celebrating or not, perfect for on a budget or not. I would recommend this as it is my favourite Indian that I’ve ever been to, although coming here not very often.

Superb food and service. But why, like so many other Indian restaurants, are there no desserts? Just some ice cream or sorbet with proper coffee would be so nice.

Today at the Restaurant was amazingly good because the staff were fantastic and the manager/boss was so friendly and is no doubt a really great person ..it was a family get together and we all enjoyed the food...excellent... we will be returning on a regular basis..well done Ameena.

Arranged a take away, meal arrived within the timescale despite the restaurant being very busy. Slight "hiccup" with two items not delivered, a phonecall, that was picked up very promptly, quickly and effortlessly remided this with the items being delivered within five minutes. Food was hot and very enjoyable. The cost of the food for three people (starters, mains and sider orders) was very reasonable.

We order from The Ameena regularly, and also go in for special occasions to the restaurant. If you’re looking for an amazing curry, look no further. Naan breads are fluffy, rice is fragrant and tasty and the curries are simply superb. Poppadoms are fresh, we all really love the mint sauce they come with too. Faultless every time - thank you!

We paid a vist to this restaurant on Monday, 6 adults 2 children, and you couldn't fault it,we agreed that the food was excellent, and the staff where brilliant,the bar prices was below pub prices,and the place is very clean,would highly recommend thank you Ameena.

Had a great meal at the Ameena as a first time visit. To be asked if we had booked, on a cold wet Tuesday evening, says it all. We particularly liked the traditional feel of the restaurant, it was welcoming and friendly, with a nice touch of actually providing a dish of onions and mint sauce with the popadums! A small touch that makes a good first impression, as opposed to the tiny overpriced pickle trays that most restaurants provide these days…good call. The food was very good, the service was attentive and friendly, and value for money was excellent. It’s good to see a family business like this thriving, and just goes to show that maintaining good basic traditional values makes all the difference. Keep up the good work ‘H’ and the team, we will definitely return.

Having frequented this place for years since the 70's, i wasn't happy with the food tonight. Had a take away and it wasn't up to scratch i'm affraid. The chicken was hard and the rice was chewy. Not my local curry house now as i live in rowley. Disapointed really, as my local takeaway is half the price.and far nicer. probably leave it another 5 years before going back. Well left it 3 years gave it another go. Had a takeaway, took 2 hours to arrive, wasnt good Had a lamb tikka rogan. The lamb was big chewy chunks, and very greasy. Had ordered a tandoori rotti but that was missing! I think they have a different menu for takeaways, as i used to eat in here a lot and never had a bad meal Also not that cheap. Safe to say i won't be going back now. 3/10☹️ ☹

We visited the Ameena recently and from the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. You could tell it was a popular spot by how busy it was, but this didn't stop the prompt service and attentiveness of the staff. The food was very nice and the portion sizes were just right. There's a good variety to choose from which includes the classics and also some different dishes for anyone a bit more adventurous or wanting to try something different. It's a great place for a meal out for two or for big family gatherings. Parking options are unfortunately a bit limited, but this wouldn't stop me from visiting again.

Excellent food and brilliant prices

Been to this restaurant a few times over the years .Food is usually pretty good and enjoyed the meal this time. However, my personal view is they have squashed in too many tables which ruins the ambience and you cannot hear yourself think over the noise of everyone elses chatter. Felt like I was in a noisy food hall at Merry Hill. Tables are too close together too. Not the place for a first date !

Great curry house brilliant staff.

Our first first visit in a very long time. Busy restaurant. Service by some of the waiters was a little slow (they kept walking around the restaurant but didn't look at you when you were trying to cath their eye!). Food was extremely good, and very hot! Warm plates too! Excellent! Food portions are slightly too large (pakora starter for 1 has 4 large pakoras - enough for 2 to share!!). Will certainly be going back!

Visited the restaurant with my u3a Diners group last Tuesday evening (August 2023). There were 18 of us, and we were really well looked after by "H", who noted our names and choices to enable us to pay individually at the end. The food was really good, large portions and everyone seemed happy with their meals. Service was friendly, polite and plates came out quite quickly for a large party. Prices are reasonable, and beer is under £4 per pint! If you like Indian food, then you must give The Ameena a try. Highly recommended.

Booked to celebrate Fathers Day, the second time we have been. The best curry I have ever tasted. Poppadoms and sauces, gorgeous, no starters, but curries, naan breads and chips, all delicious. Will be back soon. Staff very accommodating and courteous

Best curry I've had in years! The Keema Naan was superb, stuffed with plenty of meat and the bread fresh and soft. Definitely book as it understandably gets very busy. Staff were excellent too.

Supposed to be a Rogan Josh,poor sauce more like a Bolognese sauce ,chicken had obviously been pre cooked,if it hadn't the chef needs to learn how to cook chicken.Won't be going back.

Another fabulous meal with friends. One of our party had never been before and had never tried certain foods. However, she was a very happy lady by the end of the evening. Definitely value for money especially as the cost of everything has gone sky high. We thought the bill was very reasonable. Lots of interaction with the staff who, although very busy, looked after us. Always a pleasure to see ‘H’ . Will be back very soon!

Food is defiantly the best in the area, can not fault any part of the food at all, time, presentation and taste is 10/10. What makes the experience ten times better is I have ate in and had collection many times and each time the team have been lovey, very friendly and interact well with everyone. On the last visit It was my birthday and they gave me a card and a present abd they did the same for my boyfriend when it was his birthday. Low prices considering the high quality food

Ameena was recommended to us and quite right too. It was a superb evening... all dishes absolutely excellent. There's a clear dividing line between the OK and the great, and this crosses it and keeps going. The servings were generous too... so much so that we had to ask for take-out bags, which they very kindly provided. Throwing that food away would have been criminal. Service charming and genuine, which is rare, and the price (by southern standards) was very reasonable. Would make a detour to go again

Very tasty dishes, generous portion size. This was our first time eating at The Ameena Restaurant and it definitely won’t be the last. Spectacular service from all the staff in there, there was always someone around to make sure that all your needs were met. Rather eat in than get a delivery. Eating in is great. Delivery was over an hour on a Tuesday. I live 4 mins away. Food arrived cold. Missing naan bread.. eating in the food was lovely. Tastes great. Good service.

Went for a family meal for my 25th birthday this evening after a recommendation from my uncle. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more attentive. They lit my birthday 'cookie' and even brought me over a lil bottle of fizz and birthday card. The food was also faultless, tasted delicious and flavoursome! Thank you all at The Ameena for making my meal so special!!!

We went for a family meal, good atmosphere, all 18 of use had fantastic meals, not rushed at all, giving you time to enjoy your meals, nothing was a problem for the excellent staff excellent customer service both plesent & welcoming, 1st class meals yourd...
