Our dinner was outstanding - really superior Indian cuisine. The owner and cook were also very friendly, even keeping the restaurant open longer for us. Highly recommend the place.

The food was very tastefull and very nice! especially the chicken jalfrezi. The restaurant is therefore highly recommended!

Delicious dishes at an affordable price. The lamb Is the best. Near Hyde park one of the best indian if not the best in the area.

Indian is my favourite cuisine and I had dined at the predecessor Noorjahan 2 periodically for 15+ years. After moving abroad for 2 years I stopped in on my own for dinner and the ambience and food were the same top quality standard. I was so happy to be back. Highly recommended for lovers of traditional Indian food. My only suggestion would be that the gentlemen wear suits like the old days, which might be more befitting the experience.

Let me say before I continue, that the quality of food was excellent and came to the table in a timely manor. The bill of £76 was ok as it’s London and we were suitably nourished. I found the service a little strange, contantly bumping into me while I was trying to eat whilst trying to serve other customers. The bit I found confusing is as soon as we finished out main course and still has beers to drink they were very unsubtle about trying to get our table and when paying the bill almost tried to bully me into paying a tip , that if the service was excellent I would not have minded , but as it was not I was not prepared to do so.

Our food was delicious and the service was outstanding. This is definitely a diamond in the rough. We stumbled upon it and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was intimate and enjoyable.

Beautiful first class curry. Good service from owners. Disappointing at the end to have felt pressure to tip 15%, and he was wanting me to commit to this before I was given the bill. It made us uncomfortable and feeling like we were being scammed. In our discomfort we paid and left (no tip) but then found when we got home that he hadn’t given us the itemised receipt. It was 120 pounds for 4 and over our estimate so we will never know if he did charge a tip. Watch out for this petty silly stuff which does not befit a marvellous effort from the kitchen.

In London for a few day. Our 9 year old loves a curry. Decided to try here tonight. Everything from starters to mains were splendid. Waiters recommended curry's to our daughter. She loved them. Service fantastic. Great venue

This is literally the BEST Indian food ever. I have eaten Indian feed all over the world and this is the best by far! The service is remarkable and they treat everyone like family. Don’t eat anyplace else!! Seriously the best of the best.

Good food! "No-frills" service, though, to say the least. Inaction on the bill forced repeated requests, taking the shine off the meal.

The best food we’ve had in England in three trips. The fish curry (Goa) was tremendous. We’ve had excellent Indian food in British Columbia but this is better. The mango lassi was sublime.

We had a dinner on 22nd Feb. It was one of the best Indian meal ever in London. Especially Kara I chicken and mushroom rice. Amazing value in terms of quality and surrounding.Highly recommended for dinner anybody around Paddington.

My husband and I were in London for three nights and we came here for two nights in a row for the Chicken Tikka Masala. We would definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant. The waiters were friendly, the food was out of this world...

After a long time, found really delicious food. Not only the food, they know how to serve and take care of the customers. We all really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Worthy for the price, no doubt I would highly recommend "Shahjahan" to anyone!
