The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

Food is edible but hardly anything special. Lacks any depth of flavour compared to most Asian restaurants. I've had better takeaways in fairness. Also, I did not like the way sauces and chutneys are just left waiting to be served. Hygiene didn't look particularly good. I think the very recent Enfield environmental rating (Jan 2025) of 3/5 across all axis is about right. However, there is no reason for any establishment not to be 4 and above. I would not return.

Food was amazing and place is stunning. Staff were superb especially Amir. Made this a memorable experience for us.

Wow. Just had the greatest takeaway ever. Always used this takeaway when I lived in Wallsend. I am a bit further down the road now and had one delivered tonight. Came in good time, Red hot and the quality was out of this world. Team Ruchita………. Thank you

Don't know we're to start! Opened the bag chips fell straight out of the paper bag through the grease Chicken madras and Chicken Dupiaza both had the same bland taste Yoghurt mint sauce it was like milk 🤢 Complained his attitude was brutal said i was shouting at him I talk loud through being deaf. If you want slimey Chicken black chicken that's your place to go

Hicimos un pedido para recoger y el pedido era incorrecto y nos cobraron más. Estábamos renuentes a pedir desde aquí después de visitar el final del año pasado y la comida era horrible, pero pensamos en darle otra oportunidad. No volveré, lo que es una pena, ya que solía ser muy bueno.

Had the lunchtime menu. Absolutely brilliant. Staters were amazing, main course so tasty. Hugh amount of food. Highly recommend. I had the vegetarian selection. Staff were very helpful with the choices. Cobra on draft, refreshing and well kept.

Food is amazing and no one does a curry like Akbars! The staff are always very friendly and our waiter Tanveer made us feel very welcome. Makhani and Madras is the perfect combo for 2. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re around Leeds and want some real curry.

The last 2 orders the chicken has been so chewy it’s not been edible. No other issues with the food so it’s a shame that the chicken recently has been awful, that’s now 2 orders where my wife has not been able to eat the main part of the meal. Luckily I ordered paneer as I have now lost faith in the meat quality. Not sure I can order from here anymore which is a shame.

Came for dinner as heard good reviews . We certainly weren’t disappointed as the food was amazing and the service was amazing.too.
