always an excellent takeaway. only issue I had was delivery driver didn't read or got passed on the message the note I left on receipt.

Too inconsistent, quality of food at times is poor? Having to add extra charges to obtain order is a joke! This place has gone downhill this year, and won’t be ordering again, quality matters.

I don't normally write reviews but I’ve got to say this, the whole concept work on so many levels. , very authentic and tastes delicious Amazing food, the flavours were the best fresh ingredients are used and you can tell a lot of pride and passion has gone into each dish Pretty impressed I'd recommend THE RAJ at Maldon to anyone to try, you will not be disappointed or hungry!!! One of the curry and all sort of Indian food I’ve ever tasted . My whole family and I love their food and we’ve been a customers for many years as well as most of my mate . Just to mention that all food are cooked freshly by a decent respectful family as they do cook from heart. You feel like you eat at home and what a great amazing customer service if I could give more that five stars trust me I would . Thank you to THE RAJ AT MALDON & everyone at this lovely restaurant specially to the MUM AND DAD for the best food I've had in a long, long time! Function Room on the 26 th October 2024,was lovely...BUT...The Bar Staff were incompetent! No choices of alcohol at the bar,NO Toilet Roll In The Ladies ,water all over the floor ,in there ,toilets not checked all evening! And Hand Soap watered down too!!???

Ordered veg food with Paneer Balti x2. App was showing 15-30 min delivery time. Order placed at 20.30 for veg biriyanis and paneer Balti. Arrival time when placing the order was showing 21.05. But food arrived at 21.55. When opened the bag instead of paneer Balti 2 portions we has chicken Balti. Very disappointed with the service and the food and the carelessness of the resatuarant. I never had such an negligence from any restaurant before. Waste if money. Food gone to bin. Very annoyed

I have been eating at Zayka for 15 years since Ben and Barb first brought me in 2009. Since then we have had the pleasure of sharing this gem of a restaurant with our closest family and friends. There was a time when we were eating there every week until we moved away. Happy to see they are thriving, serving the same delicious food, with genuinely kind service and a lovely atmosphere. You cannot go wrong at Zayka. See you soon!

No idea why they put coconut in the butter chicken. Did a take out with butter chicken and nan, along with starter. The coconut in yhe butter chicken just ruined it. If I had known I wouldn't have ordered this. Nobody else ever put coconut in butter chicken. I only came here because another restaurant I buy from was closed for a function. Won't come here again.

We had the Pre Theatre menu on 23/10/2024, , as 2nd option due to a technical hitch with my itison voucher , the Supervisor was very helpful as we were confused re.the complication, The 2 course meal with fabulous Naan bread was the best we.ve had in Any restaurant, we had visited the restaurant a few years ago , But don.t recall the food being as brilliant as Yesterday "

Who ever giv this place it's rating, is a liar, I won't rate this food at all. King prawn curry, king prawn jalfrazy and chefs special, how all 3 meal come out the same colour, the prawns, I would of fed the dog with them, chicken was small boiled, we got pictures of the food.we rang for our money back, In fairness they did, we traveled to Seaton tandoori, ordered the same food, totally different colours prawn and chicken where spot on, avoid the shalimar in billingham.

Our usual restaurant for special occasions. Went to celebrate a birthday. Food was good as usual apart the karahi that we order usually being a bit TOO spicy (and we like spicy food). We informed the waiter that the karahi had been too spicy and to simply inform the chef. A few minutes later the manager ZAFAR has arrived,and rather than accept our honest feedback has proceeded to try to convince us that the curry was not spicy!! Ofcourse we have stood our ground (as we all did find the saalan too spicy). He has then very strangely even implied that we’re lying! We’ve had to cut our celebration short and left without cutting the cake we had brought with us. Other waiters were great and food was otherwise good as usual. Mr Zafar needs further training in customer service and accepting constructive (and honest!) criticism. Thank you
