Lovely food only just tried this place recently. Unfortunately they've had a possession order and it looks like they're no longer in business.

Absolutely fantastic food beautiful as always the staff are so friendly and attentive the best Indian restaurant around. The prices are so good also.

As the previous reviewer. Booked in for a Saturday evening. No information given over the phone about lack of alcohol licence. Arrived & were told to go & grab some alcohol if we wanted a drink with our curry… no mention of corkage. Returned with our supplies only to be informed that it’s £7 to open a bottle of wine & £1 per can of beer. An absolute joke. We voted with our feet & left. Hopefully everyone else does the same.

Absolute joke. Made a booking in anticipation. Get to restaurant...no alcohol being served. Waiter/Manager suggests I go an purchase beers/wine from shop next door. I do so. Then they decide to charge corkage charge on each can and bottle of wine we open. They are lucky I give 1 star. Weekend ruined.

Table service is very poor, mainly because of staffing levels.The manager has an aggressive attitude towards constructive criticism.

Local, lovely decor. I just think the staff could be more friendly and engaging. Great choice of menu for sure. Well worth a visit.

OMG!!!! Have to try this place hidden gem in birkdale food is amazing great value surprised they don't have a Michelin star tbh thoroughly enjoyed all round (worth a trip) deffo coming back

It's the first time I've visited this restaurant, close to Birkdale Railway Station, and it was a very pleasant and satisfying experience. It is a very busy restaurant so advanced booking is recommended; the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive despite being 'rushed off their feet'. The family will definitely visit again in the future. We arrived early evening, so would class this as 'dinner' in the description.

Second visit we all tried different dishes all excellent tasty well presented and fresh King prawn hirara , chicken khorai beautiful.best naan we've had anywhere friendly staff. Best indian around, others pale in comparison.

Have eaten here several times and during lock down had more than a few take away, fabulous tasty food every time!

Our first visit and we ordered a sharing dish which consisted of 2 of each of the following: onion baji, samosa, shish kebab, chicken pakora, a small roti, a shredded chicken dish, salad and sauces. We shared a main course which was a beautifully cooked tender lamb dish with Kashmari rice. We left feeling very full. The price was £36 .50 including a pint of draft Kingfisher lager. Excellent value and service. Looking forward to our next visit.

Spent over thirty pound on a meal for two for my birthday (take away). Whilst the saucing was wonderful, a prawn curry with ONLY FOUR prawns! A Monkfish curry with only THREE pieces of monkfish. You lack a generosity which will result in zero return visits. Had the proteins been more fairly used I’d be a regular customer. Instead you have left me feeling RIPPED OFF.

Stumbled upon this place as everywhere else seemed to be closed on Mondays. So glad we found it as it was one of the best Indian meals. Work your way through the specialities as the ones we tried were fabulous. We will be back.

First time here. Was organised by a work colleague. The place was lovely, not big but nice. Been told to book if you want to eat in. Had the Boti Kebab Bom to start, it was nice. Shared a basket of Poppadoms with a tray off dips. Then had the Chickrn Tikka Massala with a Paratha and Mushroom Rice. Which was delicious, had a nice sweetness to it. I definitely would come again.

We found this restaurant by chance and went in at 21.35 which is five minutes after last orders but they found us a table and we had a great meal. I was very very surprised by the quality and whilst not cheap, was worth every penny. Highly recommended.

I have ordered takeaway from Bombay Blussi twice now and the food is wonderful. Everyone agreed that it was the best Indian food we had eaten in a long time. The staff are so pleasant and well mannered when taking orders and on collection. I have booked to eat in the restaurant in a few weeks and can’t wait! The restaurant is very stylish and clean

Food is great. Service excruciatingly slow and has been the last 3 occasions I’ve been here. Had to ask waiting staff to take our orders and then ask again after an hour where our main course was. Last round of drinks never arrived.

Times are not affecting this outstanding Indian restaurant negatively. Even during the “take-away must be” era, Bombay Blussi has delivered great Indian dishes at reasonable prices. The service remains friendly and efficient. I can just applaud management and staff for all the above.

We came up to Southport/ Birkdale for New Year, and have been celebrating for what seemed days, so we needed a curry, our friends recommended this place and although quiet, still had a good atmosphere, service was good and staff knowledgeable, food was very good and plentiful, larger portions than we get in the south!! We had a great evening and would certainly visit again.

I went to eat here last night with my son. We thought the food was just delicious and the service was amazing. They people/ waiters were so polite and attentive without being intrusive. The only comment I could suggest is that they might have more veggie options but I stress that this is not a criticism!

The food here is just on another level. I recommend the South Indian garlic chilli chicken tikka, hard for me to order from anywhere else now!

Food is great, the service is of a high standard but the cost is more than reasonable. Could not fault anything and had a really good night out. Recommend booking at weekends as get very busy and there can be a queue to get a table. Would recommend this restaurant even for people trying Indian for the 1st time.

Great food, it's worth ordering in advance 3 days, the whole lamb for 6. All you need to compliment it is your drinks. There is so much good curried lamb accompanied with different types of rice and bread. It feeds six and more.

The food is as good as it gets. The ambiance amazing. The waiters very good and not too overwhelming. The prices are not the cheapest but worth every penny. I cannot over praise this fantastic restaurant. I will keep going back.

This is a great place, the staff are excellent and the food ‘to die for’. You need to book ahead to avoid being disappointed. There’s not a bad dish on the menu and the value is very good.

The food was excellent (as always), but we were asked to leave our table seconds after finishing our mains ‘to go downstairs’. We politely refused because we hadn’t finished our drinks or been offered coffee and were then asked to leave again 10 minutes later. (We had been in the restaurant for about 1 hours 20 minutes by this point, much of which was waiting for the food/drinks to arrive). The waiter then sarcastically advised us that we could “stay all night then, if you want”. Used to love this place. Won’t go there again or recommend to anyone we know...

Extremely nice food and friendly, attentive staff.

Service was shockingly slow waited over an hour for main course, when the food eventually came it was cold. Long time in between drink orders.waiter only came to us twice, there were only 2 of us. But customers (table of 6) who came in a long time after us where served first? At 1 point we where considering to walk out. Will be along time until we return if at all we do ☹☹☹

Went for a meal here for the first time with friends last night . the service was so friendly, the food was amazing you could taste such beautiful spices coming through and such nice flavours was truly yummy.the atmosphere was great and clean and lovely seating. Really can recommend this restaraunt.

Table booked for 8.30pm for a special occasion. Arrived at 8.25 to find table not ready. Asked to wait and have drinks so I asked when table would be ready and was told they didn't know 'probably in about 10 minutes' Suggested we go next door for a drink and would come back in half an hour to give them time to get table prepared. Asked them if they were sure it would be ready and told 'yes'. Came back at 9pm and restaurant was even busier, table still not ready and proprietor rushed to dress table as we were stood there waiting. Eventually sat down to study menu, couple sat down next to us 5 minutes after we did were then approached before us and asked if they wanted drinks. They were also approached to order before we were. We sat there for 15 minutes without ordering and completely disgusted with the level of service, we got up and left. I'm sure the food is excellent in there I've heard good things, but the night was ruined. They were clearly under-staffed and incapable of controlling numbers. Will not be back.

The food, as ever, was fabulous except the popadoms were not "crisp' but that s only a minor point.

The night of the 21/6 omg! Amazing the food here sooooo good the lamb punjab so tasty the meat just melted in the mouth, thanking the staff friendly and attentive they worked hard for a busy night cant wait to come back :)

Really great Indian food, and we eat alot of Indian food. Highly recommend.

Really good meal and great service too

Having read some of the reviews on here we went with some hesitation. To be fair both the food and service were excellent. Very tasty food, good portion size and the service was attentive and funny without being too pushy, we’ll definitely be going back!

The foods is nice. It is around about the same quality as a take away. The service however was awful. The waiters were running around so fast and not attentive at all. Serval mistakes made with our order and the table next to us. We waited a very long time in-between drinks orders
