Bhaji ok, tikka and curry not so great. Service was slow, long wait past collection time quoted.

Food was absolutely delicious could not fault a single thing everyone enjoyed it and ate every bit. It arrived really quickly too, within half an hour. This place will defo be our new go-to for our Indian takeaways!

Ordered takeaway at 5.10. Confirmed delivery time was 6.55. Finally delivered at 7.25. Food bland and cold. Will never order again. Have used the bay of Bengal and the lal qila for years. This collageration does not work.

Service is quick, friendly and the food is nice and very proportionate.

Extremly small meal was shocked how full barley a 1/3 Not good enough , chicken tika was all crumbs big rip off shame the khaja has closed as there portions were double the size , please avoid not value for at all

We ordered a takeaway, the food was cold watery and bland. The rice was tasteless and curries were watery, the meat was tough and the onion bahji was floury. Complete waste of money. Very disappointed ☹️

Restaurant was freezing, ordered food then noticed the servers hands had food all over them should’ve just cancelled then! The floor was and dirty staff just playing on their phone ignoring us, starters came and they were cold we didn’t eat them, immediately we cancelled our mains and the manager demanded we paid for them anyway, neverthess we paid for the food and drinks that had been served and left, definitely don’t recommend won’t be returning

Got food poisoning from here from a take away order please beware. I have reported the restaurant to Sefton Council and apparently I’m not the only person to have been poisoned. I’ve never been so sick in all of my life Please Please think twice before eating here.

Absolutely disgusting Naan bread was like I’d got a pizza and ran it under the sink and just ate the base Literally the most disgusting thing I’ve eaten in ages Got offered free naans next time I order, wellI won’t be ordering again so that’s useless isn’t it Anyway yeah absolutely HORRIFYING . Absolute super little place. One of the best meals ever. All freshly cooked and great value.

What a find! Husband and I craving a curry, near the end of our isolation due to covid and only curry house we have used don't deliver. Checked reviews and hygiene rating and decided to try and have contact free delivery. Pleasantly surprised delivery was 10 min earlier than requested. Food was still Piping hot. Husband got a madras I got a jalfrezi. We both tucked in stopped at the same time and looked at each other both agreeing what amazing curry's we had. So delicious and will definitely be ordering again. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you for wonderful service and wonderful food!

So ordered at 7 rang at 8 told on the way it’s only 4 mins away 20mins later arrives freezing cold shocking portion sizes basically was told next time they will make sure mine gets delivered first !! Told me they had the food in a heat bag but they never I mean I’m not usually fussed on red hot food but this was stone cold!

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant on Saturday, the 4 of us really enjoyed the tasty food and staff were very tentative, couldn't do enough and food came pipping hot, never tasted Indian food as good as this before.I would definitely recommend this restaurant, lovely staff, tasty food defiantly going back again,

Best food around, freshly made authentic Asian food, you can taste the fresh herbs and spices I just love their meals. Been using the takeaway because of lockdown and the set meal is fantastic for £25 loads of food and superb quality and great service from staff cant wait to sit in for table service soon. Ordered from here a few times now and the food is always well presented and tastes good. My only small complaint is that the food seems to lose temperature very quickly. Delivery Staff always friendly and never had an issue with waiting times.

Went there twice before Christmas. Food excellent, Staff friendly and helpful. As you can take your own alcohol drinks. You save a packet. Fully Covid observant as well as the clientele. Go again when reopens. Will get takeaways to tied me over.

Went with my partner last week. Place is filthy. Food wasn’t that great. Had to leave the food in the end as it was burnt and tasteless Service quite poor too. Very disappointing as was hoping this would be our local indian

First time I have used this restaurant in about 2/3 years. Made an order to collect, I arrived at the time specified but still had to wait 30mins for food to be ready. Saving grace was the food was very good. I will definitely return but just allow time for delays as that appears to be the repetitive trend for any negative reviews. (Jalfrezi was rather mild for my personal taste, however the taste more than made up for it).Very good

Used App. It took our order. Charged me and gave me an order number. It confirmed food ready at 6p.m. arrived at restaurant to collect only to find it was closed. They had not shut down their app in the current crisis and this indicated they were open for takeaway orders. They have my money and have not even called me to apologise and return my money.

Pleasant evening, good food, just a little cramped & noisy as tables quite close together in small space. Piece of veneer missing from corner of table where my arm rested so quite uncomfortable. Assured by staff that tables are due to be replaced.

We've been eating at La Quila for years, and where thrilled to hear they'd taken over the Bay of Bengal. We've been three times in last 6 weeks, and Mia is the best host, always smiling and serving excellent food. It has a cosy atmosphere, and you can take your own beer etc, but the meals are very good with a great variety of choice, we'll certainly be going there a lot in 2020. Craig

Would not even give this one star. Staff did not know what there were doing and the pizza I ordered was just a lump of dough with a load of peppers on it with 3 bits of pepperoni

Now under new ownership- was a bit worried as we used to come here and love the food so when we realised there were new owners we wondered if it would live up to expectations! They absolutely did! The new guys are really friendly- thanks Miah for looking after us. Food was excellent! We’ll be back soon!

The Bay of Bengal is under new ownership with a new chef and we didn't know this until we went. The new owner was very welcoming and the food was superb and the service first class. As a regular to this restaurant I have never had an average meal, and my latest visit surpassed my expectations. I can't wait until my next visit.

Had a take away from here delivered to the holiday let we were staying at. We ordered chicken tikka rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, 3 x pilau rice and a peshwari naan bread which all came to about £30 including delivery. All were cooked really well and had a nice spicing but not too hot. It was delivered in 45 mins which was good seen as we were about 4 miles away and the staff were very friendly.

The tandoori cooked meats & bread are the best I’ve ever had - so are the onion bajis. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone / it’s a bonus you take your own wine or beer . Monday is quiet & when we often go as a family of 7 it’s great value .

Visit here all the time and we love it. Staff are always lovely and friendly. Food is so good & if there’s something you’d like to change just ask the staff & they are more than happy to help. Never feel rushed in there- you can take your time & just relax! See you soon!

Great staff, best Indian I’ve ever had. Totally recommend for anyone in and around Thame for any occasion.Definitely worth the wait. Food tasted so good and you can order from the just eat app., and it comes. Only thing is you mush give a clear address and location where you wanna it delivered on time.

Not a big restaurant but it is worth going if you like a good Indian. Its darn nice.

We ate here with family friends for our daughters 18th birthday celebrations. We had a table for 16 and the food was excellent, the staff were very accommodating, it was was an excellent evening and I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant, we’ll be back soon.

First time here, used their app to order which was cool and wait was showing 15-25mins. Once we placed the order, popadoms, chutney tray, 2 curries & naan bread, the order was put back by a further 45 minutes giving an hours wait in total. Got to the restaurant to collect bang on time only to be told that my order was only just being prepared I was not at all happy and after a further 20 minute wait I finally walked out with my order. No free meals, no discount offered just a sorry for your wait. Got home, food ok but nothing spectacular so won’t be returning. I can understand food being a little late but not even to offer free popadoms? Really? ‍♀️

Visit on a regular basis staff lovely food great just talk to the waiter tell them how you want the curry never disappoint.Added bonus bring your own alcohol little gem of a restaurant

Go to this restaurant quite a lot. Great food, good value. Can bring own alcohol and pay corkage as the restaurant itself doesn't sell alcohol. Staff are great. Nice atmosphere, quite cosy.

Came here a few times. Wonderful food. Emma the waitress is so lovely and bubbly. Came here for a take away last week. Was really busy but she managed to keep things calm. Take your own alcohol too which is great. Always look forward to coming here.

Booked a table a week ago and everything was fine, an hour before the meal we got a call saying the booking will have to finish early as they have a new bigger booking after us... not the best when you want to enjoy your meal and not rush. I called back to cancel it and the guy was rude and eventually he just cut the phone off without saying anything.

I’ve really enjoyed my visits to the bay, it really has become my go-to place. I like that the staff recognise me & make the effort to welcome us. Food is excellent, always! The restaurant is small and can get really busy so make sure you book!

Food tends to be nice but don't bother with the take away service. Given it three chances now, and it been over half an hour after the time they told me every time. Leaving you stood in the restaurant whilst people are being served their food around you. Just go somewhere else.

Lovely Indian restaurant with amazing food. It’s nice that you can bring your own drink. Plenty of choice on the menu and a good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit - probably best to book as its popular.

Love this little place, it’s vastly improved over the last 6 months food is always spot on. There’s a good deal on a Monday & Tuesday too- popadom, main meal & rice for £10! You can take your own wine/beer too!

we decided to have an Indian take away and used this local restaurant, we ordered and were told to return 20 mins later, usually we would have a drink whilst waiting but this restaurant does not have a license,we returned and our food came out promptly, however it was taken back into the kitchen and we had to wait a further 10 mins for our food, meals were of average quality, breads were not the best, the sauce on my meal was very thin giving the impression that i had soup rather than a curry sauce,

Had a lovely night out in the Bay of Bengal- food is amazing, full range of dishes and chef specialities! You also take your own beer along so no pricey drinks at the bar and can serve yourself! Staff are brilliant, real Gem of Maghull!

Take away or eat in, it's always some for money.Good choice of dishes, good service, de cent price. Been many times and will go again.

This is a real gem, food is always superb, never been disappointed. Great for family occasions or just a meal for two. Staff are always friendly and service outstanding. Although it's not licensed for alcohol, you can bring your own choice of beverage, to us a bonus as we have a favorite wine that goes amazing with Indian food.

No alcohol on menu...but can take your own in...lovely waiter service ...we asked for 2 glasses of coke...which was served out the bottle which wasn't in the freezer...then it was so flat ..although we were not charged for the coke...the food was fantastic...the curry was made freshly and we could tell...a bit of a wait but worth it...a lovely place to eat

Went here with friends on a Saturday evening after hearing good things about it. We booked a table in advance and glad we did as the place is a little bijou. Great selection of food from a varied menu, tasty and well presented. Good service although they seemed to be serving a fair number of takeaway orders also. No alcohol served here but you can take your own and they will give you glasses and refrigerate your drinks for you. Very reasonable at about £15 each for starters, mains and sides. Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Madras very good, will be returning soon.

We’ve both dined in and, more recently, ordered a takeaway from Bay of Bengal, and on both occasions the food has been excellent: tasty, warm and the right level of spice. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to Indian food, but that’s not what we wanted; it just does the classic dishes well. The staff are helpful and our takeaway was ready very quickly. It was also cheaper than other Indian takeaways we’ve ordered, coming in at around £19 for a substantial meal. No doubt you’ll also save money if dining in by bringing your own alcohol. This is probably our go-to restaurant when we don’t want to go too far afield, and I can’t complain about that!

Every time we go here we are never disappointed. Booked last minute tonight and Sab the owner didn't want to disappoint us so got us a table at short notice. Thanks Sab great food again. Best India ever.

After a local Indian closing down recently I was eager to try Bay of Bengal after many recommendations.

We all had different meals and were not disappointed. Would certainly recommend to family and friends. Just a bit of a delay for the main course but nothing too much trouble.

An excellent meal at very goo prices.We were a party of 7 and had no complaints.

Great staff and food was fantastic...

The service was so slow. Takeaways seemed to get priority over people sitting waiting. It’s very small too and could hear everyone’s conversation. I felt uncomfortable crammed in. I’d definitely get a takeaway from here though. Food was tasty!
