Placed a takeaway order through the website and money was taken from my card, when we went to collect, the restaurant no longer exists.. in its place is a completely different restaurant sign and when looking through the window, was full of cardboard boxes.. it has quite clearly been empty for weeks, if not longer!

A top evening. A well established Putney restaurant that cooks brilliant Indian food. The food and wine menus are helpfully compact, making choices easier and I reckon heightens the results! Delicious all round… perfectly cooked rice, nans, samosas , baked prawns ….and the curries!!Easy to get to, clearly full of locals ( all ages) and family owned. The service was tops too. And they own the wine shop next door. Thank you again.

2 stars for the food only because of the garlic naan softness and quality else for others like chicken biryani, chicken garlic mushroom tikka, the quantity was good enough and also for chana paneer as well but taste wise they lacked texture and salt as very less saltiness was there. Coming to the service part, honestly I review almost all the restaurants and places I visit and am flexible with my ratings and all but this was one of the worst services we have faced till date here in UK. It had been more than 15 minutes since we have reached there already but unfortunately, no one came to take up our order on their own and finally I was reluctant to call for one of them to take our order and believe me apart from us, there was only 1 more table filled with 4 people who had almost finished off their meal and were having last sips of their drinks and chatting. I don't understand why the restaurant people took so much time to come to us to take the order although that time wasn't at all a busy hour over there. And on top of it, the food also arrived just on or beyond time which can be pardoned per say but this service should be improved for future to avoid such critical review. Now finally coming to the best part of the restaurant which we liked the most was actually the ambience/atmosphere. The interiors and setip felt like kind of fine dining which was a posh experience so wanted to compliment that at least.

This is the best Indian restaurant that I have eaten in. I have lived all over the UK and abroad (London, Leicester, Manchester, Oxford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Amsterdam, Utrecht etc etc) and this curry house here, hidden away in a suburb of Preston called Fulwood goes well beyond any Indian that I visited. I've been coming here for around 6 weeks while my mum has been in the Royal Preston hospital across the road, and it has always been wonderful. The food is always fresh, hot and bursting with flavour and depth. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere nice and chilled out. The pricing is just about on par with other places that I have eaten at. I would make a special journey to eat at this place any time. They also do take outs if you prefer to eat at home. 1000% recommended. The chefs here must be exemplary. Thank you for making my visits to the hospital so much better.

I had been to visit a friend who lives nearby and I asked him to suggest a local restaurant with BYO as I do like a glass of wine with my meal and prefer a wine that I know and select from many wine tastings. He did not come with us as he had a late and rather large lunch so it was only myself and an Indian lady friend. It was Sunday evening and at 7pm we were the only ones there. My first reaction was that it was rather more expensive than most Indian restaurants which we visit so we decided to skip the starters. They also add a 10% service charge which I do not greatly like as I usually give a higher tip but not when they add one. The portion size was at the smaller end of average. And with no starter we easily ate everything and did not leave anything to take home as we usually do. The dishes tasted as they should but were generally not very spicy and I guessed that was to please the generally English clientelle. Particularly the fish dhansak was really quite mild whereas most restaurants cook it as quite spicy at 3/5 of a vindaloo. It was nice to have the list of generic dishes including a fish option. The service was generally good and I am a little surprised at the several reviews mentioning bad service but then I had no need to engage in any complaints which perhaps they do not handle very well. During our visit only one other couple came into the restaurant which I found disappointing for a Sunday evening. So for me the BYOB would attract me to go back there again when I am next in the area.
