Simla in Hinckley and Bosworth

Excellent food , great service ,good size portions , well presented ,plenty of choice for everyone , lovely atmosphere and beautifully decorated. My husband said best curry he ever had first and certainly not the last visit

Lovely night, good food,good value , friendly helpful staff

After having moved into the area a couple of weeks ago we decided to give Simla a try for the first time,managed to get a table for 2 as a walk in at about 6.15.very lucky I reckon as within 20 minutes the place was absolutely rammed. We opted for a pint and a half of cobra,love and cold and went down a treat. Ordered 4 popadoms and pickle tray which we were charged for,most curry houses iv been before give at least one free one each and then charge for any extras. Decent pickle tray that accompanied it,I went for the chicken tikka chat and my wife the lamb chops to start. My chicken chat was large,tasty and came with a nice fresh side salad,my wife’s lamb chops came covered In way to much sauce with onion and peppers and the lamb chops came with barely any meat on 2 big bones.she wasn’t a fan. Main course we went for a chicken pathia and I went for a Balti gohst methi(lamb)pilau rice,garlic naan and a paratha. My curry was plentiful with soft lamb pieces but way over powered with lots of onion,my wife’s chicken pathia was nice and tender but the sauce didn’t really taste of anything. Nice fresh rice,average garlic naan,the paratha was hot and fresh and everything I wanted it to be. On whole review,we would come again and try something different on the menu. Service was top class and the speedy. Decent price to for the meal. Will book next time as Iv never seen a place so busy 45 minutes after it opened

I had chosen this place to celebrate a night out with my family and it was the perfect choice! So accommodating and a lovely atmosphere. The service I received was very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend the food if you’re looking for a night out with your family or friend’s.

My experience with this place wasn’t very good. It’s a good place, but I didn’t like the food they served. We selected the place to dine -in for a family outing but wasn’t a pleasant experience. Didn’t like the taste of the food. Service was average.

Was passing through Hinckley, was recommended The Simla. Excellent service food and location. Definitely come with the family next time.

We have been a few times now and the standard of food and service is always as high. Always a friendly greeting and the service is genuine, like they actually care. Food always fresh and hot and really tasty. even when they are really busy the food and service do not slide. Highly recommended!

Fabulous eating in, top service. Even delivery is top. Piping hot, fresh, top flavour. The delivery driver is excellent, too.

We called in by chance as we were staying in the nearby premier inn just five minutes walk away, although we didn’t have a booking we were shown to a lovely table. The very friendly greeting together with excellent food and service made for a lovely evening we would certainly go again if we were in the area.

The food is excellent the best cooked chicken I have ever tasted in a curry house . Service can't be faulted and the place itself is just lovely, the only possible gripe is lack of parking spaces.

Poor quality takeaway - quite dissappointed with our takeaway from here the onion bhaji and veg samosa were small and flat, the chicken pathia had lots of liquid wasn’t the usual red colour and didn’t taste how one would normally taste the children’s meal was tiny and we had to cook some chicken nuggets for her and the madras just didn’t take nice

Tasteless, only tastes of salt no other flavour, swimming in grease and the lamb is as tough as boots. Worst Indian I’ve ever eaten. Sadly the food doesn’t match the lovely decor. First time ordering won’t be ordering again.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for many years and tonight they went above and beyond for me. i haveoerdered a takeaway i always have the same i order online but i did my order wrong not knowing i had. so i rang to say they had sent the wrong main meal out to me. they explained what i had done but still redelivered my main meal for free and within 15 minutes thats 5 star service at it best thankyou simla

Booked a meal for me and my lady,so got there on a cold February night,we were taken to a table in the conservatory absolutely freezing ,so after complaining we got another table but this was also cold ,the meal came but soon went cold as ther was no plate heaters , there was also no tablecloth and the staff could not be arsed to light the table candle, the waiter did not have a proper command of the English language... in short this place as gone down...I noticed that there seemed to be a certain atmosphere recenting English people amongst the young waiters because of Israel conflict

Last minute change of plans after brewers fayre said stopped serving food even after booking online. Well worth it and very tasty and quick service as well. We'll come back next time we're up this way.

We went for my husbands birthday meal. Staff were not very welcoming, had to ask twice for things to be bought out to the table. Food came out piping hot and burnt our mouths. Curry’s bland and very oily.

Tried to order food off their website? They over charged me by more then £10! When I phoned back to quiz the price,they told me I was ordering off an old menu! Yet I had their menu on the webpage in front of me!

Ate here ad as always both the service and food were amazing. They can't do enough to welcome you and it has a real family atmosphere. 5 stars and I would recommend to anyone.

Just had a takeaway ! 1st time from the Simla ! Wife enjoyed hers ! Son enjoyed his ! But mine was tasteless Sheek kebab boring pale tasteless! Then a special mixed balti same boring tasteless ! Keema naan find the keema ! Garlic naan where’s the garlic 🧄 ! Very very very disappointed ☹️ such a shame was really looking forward to it 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

Best Indian food & service in Hinckley

Had a fantastic meal, but was let down by very mediocre wine selection. Bought bottle of wine which had little to no taste…. And wines served in gin glasses…….. when did that become a thing!

Been living in Hinckley for 7 years now. Tried a few different places for an occasional change but always end up coming back here. Good food for a reasonable price and friendly team. Never had a raw fish left on my windscreen… 😊

We were on a canal boating holiday looking for a takeaway meal and this was very close for us to walk to and pick up. The staff were very helpful when we rang and ordered, and very chatty and friendly when we picked it up. The food was very well wrapped up for us to carry back, and was lovely and hot and obviously freshly cooked. The chicken was very tender (we stick to chicken curries so cannot comment on lamb etc) and there was a good amount of it in each dish. The flavours were lovely. We definitely recommend Simla and will be back next time we are this way on the canal.

Don’t often leave reviews, but this blows Farmhouse out the water. I had a tandoori salmon for starter, it was fantastic, bursting full with flavour and garnishings also. Mains; chicken tikka biryani, full of flavour, chicken sizes are spot on, chicken to rice ratio is 10/10, just right. I hope I get to come back here again, honestly over the moon with my experience.

Exceptional service and food was very nice!

Visited for the first time but will definitely be back. The staff were great, plenty of people working on a Saturday night which made the service seamless. Nice atmosphere in the room we were in, not too over crowded or noisy. The food was nice and portion sizes were good.

Called into this restaurant on Friday night, wasn’t busy at all and guided to our table. Huge menu with loads of choices but extremely average tonight. I can tolerate average food as it’s normal in this country but the staff attitude is poor. The chap who served us was extremely miserable and really couldn’t be bothered and when I complained about the chicken his attitude was so what. Asked another member of staff where the toilet was and he just pointed. Reasonable menu, average food and staff were very poor. No further visits.

Lovely place a must visit excellent food good service and they cater for the kids. Very busy which is a good thing and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The decor is nice and seating is good night and lively. They offer a takeaway service, dine in. I can’t fault the food it was delicious 👍 up.

Best Indian Hinckley. We deal with Mo and Ali and they are always extremely helpful and friendly.

Don't waste your money. Absolutely awful food. The massala sauce was watery and tasteless. The rice was meant to garlic fried rice, it comes boiled with a hint of garlic. Will not be returning.

Thought we would try somewhere different for a curry this time. Really disappointed with this place, both curry's were bland and flat, tasting of nothing particular. Chicken Tikka masala: sauce really watery. North India Garlic and chilli lamb: Could barely taste the lamb chunks, the sauce was really flat and bland with chopped chilli's and Garlic stirred in. Didn't finish as it got quite sickly. Fried Garlic Rice: Boiled rice with chunky garlic chopped in. Naan bread was nice. Waste of money, won't be using these again.

We booked for family and friends for fourteen of us. Not the easiest of families as some had special needs but was an outstanding evening and food was excellent!

We had the takeaway, for 8 people which was collected and brought to the house. Everything about it was great, even those who were unsure about trying Indian food found something to really enjoy. I look forward to sitting in the restaurant in the future

Indian delight, we wanted to try some spicy food and everyone in the group loves Indian food. Come recommended by work colleagues. We arrived early to find lots of space, was not busy but filled up before we left. Good atmosphere, clean and classy feel. Service was on point with a more experienced server helping when our server was not able to answer. Good recommendations offered by the server based on your taste. We had the Rogan Josh, lamb biryani tikka masala, some meat samosas. Very tasty food, great flavours, great portion sizes and not too expensive. Affordable Indian restaurant with a huge selection to choose from. Classic dishes, and some Westernised dishes. Good vegetarian options. Large venue, very spacious. High ceilings which makes the venue feel airy. Thanks for a great evening out.

I had this curry yh it was peng icl but the day after I felt bare sick and now i think I’m gonna be sick so like beg you send man a refund init.
