Simla Peppers in Hinckley and Bosworth

One of the best Indian restaurants in the Leicestershire area. Service was first class, with excellent food which was also well presented. Overall a 5 star dinning experience for me and our friends.

Me and my family were recommended this local Indian for a quick tasty takeaway before Christmas, sadly we wish we hadn’t. We were a little disappointed how bland majority of our dishes were, to which the curry’s were extremely watery. Very disappointing as it spoiled the rice. Shamefully we found majority of the food lukewarm and we were only 0.5 miles away from the restaurant. Looking at previous reviews I’m not sure if we caught this place on a bad day but probably won’t be in a rush to return.

We have dined at Simla peppers on multiple occasions with family and as a couple. Every time we visit we are welcomed with a smile and looked after incredibly well. The food is always hot and tasty, our favourite restaurant in market Bosworth by far, thanks team ❤️

A great restaurant offering a very wide ranging menu with some unique dishes. Staff are excellent and attentive and happy to advise on the dishes. Good atmosphere, well worth seeking out. Highly recommended.

Whenever we visit friends in Market Bosworth Simla is always a must. The food is really tasty with good size portions and the staff are attentive giving good advise and suggestions as well as ensuring your meal is as you require. Well worth a visit.

Stumbled across this hidden gem whilst having a walk around the village, really tucked away down an alleyway so wasn’t even sure if it was open , checked out some reviews on TA and went for it . So glad I did really nice atmosphere inside and staff were very friendly. Food was amazing lovely presentation and great flavours ate the lot ! Shame it’s so far from home as it definitely one of the best Indian meals I have had for a long time and would love to visit again

Suerb evening out with friends. A warm welcome by attentive and informative staff, particularly Ashta (hope i spelled it correctly). Excellent menu range with unique dishes, choices advised by Ashta and we were not disappointed. Food was well presented and absolutely delicious. I am reluctant to suggest or recommend a particular dish as the menu is quite extensive and I am confident all will be of high quality. So, food is great, staff are excellent and made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommended.

It’s the first time we’ve eaten here but definitely not the last. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable, the staff efficient, friendly and accommodating. Being a vegetarian, I asked if they would make one of the traditional curries with paneer for me, which they did; it was delicious! We also had two meat eaters and a vegan in our party and everyone was very happy with their food. We’ll be back soon 😋

Living local, I visit Simla Peppers fairly regularly and must have been >20 times. Located just off the village square, accessed by a small passage, is this large restaurant which is best described as hidden gem …. it’s well worth a visit whether you are local or visiting and staying nearby. The Managers and all the staff are always courteous and friendly, and whilst the menu is extensive, it’s always good to explain the kind of meal you would like and they’ll recommend the right dishes. The food is ALWAYS FANTASTIC and everyone else that I’ve taken to the restaurant always say how good the food is and how much they’ve enjoyed it. 10/10 Simla team .. don’t change a thing! Paul

This place is down a alley off the main road. The place is a little gem. Great set out place with excellent decor. The staff were very attentive throughout our meal. Ordered 2 large bottles of Bangla beers. It's not as gassy as normal larger. From the menu we ordered 2 popadoms and pickle tray. Then for our mains we had 2 garlic chilli chickens with a portion of pilau rice and a Garlic and Coriander naan. Excellent taste throughout. Only gripe the portion of rice seemed a bit small. But would recommend this establishment.

Could not recommend more 5*+. My partner and I came here valentines night. Decor and ambiance is so inviting and cosy. The service was on point. The staff were So polite and friendly. This was the first time we have eaten here. I went with my 18 year old son while my daughter was at a school concert. It has changed the way I now think of Indian food. Absolutely delicious food coupled with fantastic service very comfortable surroundings. In the beautiful town of Market Bosworth. By far the most delicious Indian food that I have ever tasted. The service was so friendly and attentive and the wine was well...very Moorish. My only criticism would be that it made me eat way too much. The choice of food was amazing and every thing was so fresh. For desert no horrid pre packed frozen puddings in coconut shells. My son had a very lovely meringue roulade. What more can I say. Booked on line on saturday afternoon and response was prompt. Curry was beautifully fresh and service was prompt. It was obviously busy with takeaway orders but this didnt impact the service!

We always eat in this restaurant when we come to Leicester. The food is amazing (garlic and chilli chicken & Afghan chicken beautifully cooked) and the service calm and efficient. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, but book in advance as it gets very busy. Can be a little bit difficult to find as it is off the main square down a side alley.

Had takeaway, tandoori mixed grill, chicken was lovely but everything else was very dry and over cooked or old. Nan bread was like leather and couldn't eat it. Very disappointing as normally quite good.

We stayed a few days at Bosworth Hall (Not the best) and we booked here on the Saturday night as we had seen good reviews. Cannot fault this place, the food was AMAZING, fresh, plentiful and not expensive at all. Meal for 4 including poppadoms, starters, main and drinks, including liqueur coffees was £30 each. Staff so pleasant and helpful. If you get a chance, go. You won't be disappointed.

Only our second visit, having recently moved to the area. The restaurant offers an extensive reasonably priced menu, in a well presented dining room. The service is attentive without being over intrusive, and the presentation of the dishes is first class.

Same old list on the menu but when the meal arrived it was so different to anything we had previously experienced, a different form of presentation and the taste, exceptional. Just dropped in by chance whilst staying locally but definitely a good reason to stay in Market Bosworth again.

Menu looked good, staff attentive but four meals all same red. I had the monk fish with spinach. Disappointed that the fish came as about 6 chicken nugget look a likes in batter. No difference in taste of spinach and the red stuff it sat on. Ate about a quarter of the meal as far to spicy. Tried husbands meal and struggled to see it was any different. 2 disappointed diners out of four.

Had takeaway and very disappointed. Always been good in the past but last night was terrible, threw most of it away. Had tandoori mixed grill, the chicken was very dry with hardly any taste, the kebabs were dry and don't know what happened to the lamb, there wasn't any!!!!. Naan bread was like cardboard, it was not good. Always either eat in or take away when we're in the area but will probably give it a miss next time.

This was a stag do venue and it was a nice restaurant down an alleyway opposite the Dixie pub.

Went with my hubby for an evening meal and wasn't disappointed. You do need to book in advance as it is very popular. The atmosphere is lively with many early diners. If you want a quieter time I would go for 9.00 pm onwards. the food and service was really excellent. The menu is varied and well explained but if you are still unsure ask a waiter and they are able to recommend a meal to suit your tastes. I will definitely be going back for another try very soon.

Good meal, very generous portions. Reasonably priced. Good service. Didn’t feel rushed either. Only downside is that you need to park a short distance away as there is no car park.

I am currently visiting Market Bosworth frequently as my boyfriend is working locally ~ had a quick look at trip advisor yesterday and found this restaurant. Although a little difficult to find, this Indian restaurant is a must if you live in the area or are staying at the nearby hotel. The food is always superb with complimentary spices. I love the garlic chicken with extra chilli. The Sheek Kebabs were excellent as was the special Afghan lamb dish with chickpeas. An all round fine meal with great and friendly service. Perhaps a little expensive but well worth it. A must eat at restaurant.

I live in the area but have eaten here only three times. Decor is modern and appears clean BUT... The first time I ate there, some 10 years ago, the meal was overpriced and dishes were bland and quite watery. I tried it again, with friends, two years ago and the same applied and the rice arrived cold. Third time lucky? Well, this summer I went with a group of friends and I was disappointed again. This time the dish was over run with the taste of burnt garlic and lots of salt and the rice was cold again. Don’t waste your hard earned cash here...eat at the Black Horse instead! I travel further afield now for a Indian meal.
