The best Indian restaurant in the area for me, superb food, well presented and lovely staff.

Another excellent meal with lots of choice for everyone in our group, including vegetarians. Staff were knowledgeable and able to advise on the strength of different dishes. Service was friendly and attentive as ever. Would definitely recommend.

We had yet another wonderful meal this evening at Simla Peppers. They made it extra special for our daughter's birthday and she was delighted. The food and service, as always, was exceptional. Thank you very much.

Awful food and expensive, rice served upside down in a plastic tub straight out of the microwave, my granddaughters chicken nuggets I wouldn’t have given to my dog must rate as one of the worst Indian restaurants we’ve every been to, and with over fifty years of enjoying Asian cuisine around the world, we get this place, after 30 minutes we left what they severed, they offered a 10% discount, I think a 100% would have been more apt, awful experience be warned.

It's a beautiful restaurant with one of the most delicious menus I've ever come across. Huge seafood choices alongside all meats dishes etc. All the staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. The service was spot on! The decor is lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed, cosy and very comfortable. The toilets were fresh, clean, and well equipped. A definate must, if you visit Market Bosworth 💯

We went for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. The staff were amazing, letting myself and my fiance set up the table with balloons, table cloth etc...The service was excellent as per usual and the food was outstanding!! I can't thank them enough for a wonderful evening.

Hidden away from the main street but we'll worth seeking out. The service is very good and friendly. The dishes we had were delicious and not served in a hurried manner giving plenty of time between courses. I would highly recommend a visit

This was a great find for us. We were in the town trying to track down any Indian restaurant and this place was recommended by a local. I was really impressed with the interior and authentic feel on arrival as we sat down to eat. The menu was very extensive with a variety of various dishes on offer. Some of which were inspired by other specialities nice touch 👌🏽….. The staff were very attentive however some of their knowledge lacked in the ingredients with some of their options. However we managed to find a dish that was suitable without the need for a recommendation. My only quibble was that they only had one lager on draught which meant choosing soft drinks over a light beverage. Overall though I would recommend and certainly re visit if I was to ever return to Bosworth. Keep up the good work 👏🏽. Thank you for an enjoyable evening!

We drive 2 1/2 hours to eat here and stay in the village overnight, the food is superb and great value, waiters are very welcoming and chatty, well worth the drive and look forward to next trip, best indian we have eaten in

Visited last Friday with friends as we was staying at Bosworth Hall. Wow what can I say absolutely outstanding service n the food woozers !! Felt like a disco in my mouth. The presentation of each dish was 5 star quality. This is a place I'd definitely visit again xx

The food was cooked quickly and was well flavoured. Perhaps a little underspiced to my taste. Service was a little lacking but adequate and the restaurant was about half full on a Friday night. The bill came to £80 for 2 people having starters and mains plus a beer.

Been here a couple of times I don't usually do mainstream Indian restaurants, however this one has been very pleasant decent flavours and ambiance is great. Perfect place to entertain clients and always happy to accommodate at short notice thank you.

I don't usually go to mainstream Indian restaurants. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. We had a mix platter for starters which was very nice good flavours and I was recommended with a chefs special which was also very good. The atmosphere and deco was brilliant and a good pint of Cobra thank you guys will be seeing you again.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the Leicestershire area. Service was first class, with excellent food which was also well presented. Overall a 5 star dinning experience for me and our friends.

Nice atmosphere/decor etc. Service perfectly fine. Had better flavour at other places that are cheaper. Just lacking that richness and fullness of flavour in my tikka masala. It was nice but not as good as I've had.

Me and my family were recommended this local Indian for a quick tasty takeaway before Christmas, sadly we wish we hadn’t. We were a little disappointed how bland majority of our dishes were, to which the curry’s were extremely watery. Very disappointing as it spoiled the rice. Shamefully we found majority of the food lukewarm and we were only 0.5 miles away from the restaurant. Looking at previous reviews I’m not sure if we caught this place on a bad day but probably won’t be in a rush to return.

Whenever we visit friends in Market Bosworth Simla is always a must. The food is really tasty with good size portions and the staff are attentive giving good advise and suggestions as well as ensuring your meal is as you require. Well worth a visit.

First time at trying this little gem. Tucked down an old town style alleyway at Market Bosworth, the staff were really attentive, the restaurant was clean and decorated to a good standard (we loved the wallpaper) and the food was fabulous! All of us enjoyed a main course with sides, followed by a selection of sweets.. would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Stumbled across this hidden gem whilst having a walk around the village, really tucked away down an alleyway so wasn’t even sure if it was open , checked out some reviews on TA and went for it . So glad I did really nice atmosphere inside and staff were very friendly. Food was amazing lovely presentation and great flavours ate the lot ! Shame it’s so far from home as it definitely one of the best Indian meals I have had for a long time and would love to visit again

Visited for the first time recently. Beautiful food and lovely little hidden gem. My only slight issue was the tables were very small and some very close together, but nevertheless, but the meal was Beautiful. Will definitely go again.

Takeaway. Poor lacked flavour, naan undercooked and rice very boring . Very disappointing meal . After reading reviews was very excited about trying but won’t be back

We travel from Nottingham and stay in a local hotel as this is our favourite indian restaurant. We have been coming to here for 6 years. The food is exceptional. Also the team that work here are brilliant. 5 star.

Suerb evening out with friends. A warm welcome by attentive and informative staff, particularly Ashta (hope i spelled it correctly). Excellent menu range with unique dishes, choices advised by Ashta and we were not disappointed. Food was well presented and absolutely delicious. I am reluctant to suggest or recommend a particular dish as the menu is quite extensive and I am confident all will be of high quality. So, food is great, staff are excellent and made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommended.

It’s the first time we’ve eaten here but definitely not the last. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable, the staff efficient, friendly and accommodating. Being a vegetarian, I asked if they would make one of the traditional curries with paneer for me, which they did; it was delicious! We also had two meat eaters and a vegan in our party and everyone was very happy with their food. We’ll be back soon 😋

Living local, I visit Simla Peppers fairly regularly and must have been >20 times. Located just off the village square, accessed by a small passage, is this large restaurant which is best described as hidden gem …. it’s well worth a visit whether you are local or visiting and staying nearby. The Managers and all the staff are always courteous and friendly, and whilst the menu is extensive, it’s always good to explain the kind of meal you would like and they’ll recommend the right dishes. The food is ALWAYS FANTASTIC and everyone else that I’ve taken to the restaurant always say how good the food is and how much they’ve enjoyed it. 10/10 Simla team .. don’t change a thing! Paul

This place is down a alley off the main road. The place is a little gem. Great set out place with excellent decor. The staff were very attentive throughout our meal. Ordered 2 large bottles of Bangla beers. It's not as gassy as normal larger. From the menu we ordered 2 popadoms and pickle tray. Then for our mains we had 2 garlic chilli chickens with a portion of pilau rice and a Garlic and Coriander naan. Excellent taste throughout. Only gripe the portion of rice seemed a bit small. But would recommend this establishment.

Been over a year since we last ate here. Staff were all pleasant and friendly. Food was just as good and tasty as last time. The Tandoori Big Combo was on the smaller side compared to other restaurants that serve a mix grill, which is a shame as what came on the dish tasted nice, but just need to be bigger in the size like the dish name suggests "Big'

7 of us visited this restaurant last night for an anniversary meal. This was our first visit but it certainly won’t be our last. The greeting at the door was very friendly we were taken to our table & served drinks. The food was absolutely fantastic the service was excellent & everyone had a great time.

We attended the restaurant to celebrate my partners birthday. We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff, the restaurant and atmosphere was lovely. The waiter was helpful when choosing our food and advised us perfectly. The food was tasty and well presented. Would highly recommend.

Extremely average. Service good and place cosy, but the food is very average. The rice came out with plastic casing on it, it had obviously been microwaved (very dry and hard). Never ever seen this before. Curry was also frozen as it was very watery and absolutely tasteless. Chicken was very chewy. Won’t return. A shame.

Excellent meal, waiters are attentive but not intrusive and our gluten free guest was able to dine with no problems. Portions are large and good quality. Lovely surroundings and parking available in the market square opposite.

Please note I've done many Google reviews on restaurants , mostly 5 stars....so I'm not some nutter setting up a profile just to do 1 rubbish review ... Booked a table here for 2 on a Saturday evening. Seated at a table where we had the waiter's backside within a few inches of our food when serving tables either side. Upon raising the issue the excuse was "you haven't been here before" and "it's a Saturday night". Also "ask for a different table when you book". Absolutely pathetic. As if to say if you haven't been before you deserve someone's backside next to your curry. The bonkers thing is we have been here before a few years ago but there is a reason now confirmed that we haven't come often. They knocked a few quid off the bill for this.. Not enough to cover 2 drinks. The curry is distinctly below average. Lacked seasoning. They get away with it due to a total lack of competition in this part of Leicestershire. The upsides were the service was quick and there is a nice atmosphere in the place.

Very disappointed , Was recommended by a friend, Booked in for 630 pm Saturday 8th October for two people. Service was seriously good but felt very rushed, we were bk home for 730. Food was not what I expected, I ordered a main of fry chicken tikka , it stated with onion and salad. Asked for a sizzler plate, was told they don’t do that as plates are hot enough, first Indian restaurant I’ve been to where they don’t do a sizzler, Well the main came out and it was like a starter! Pieces of tikka sliced up not chunks, tiny bit of Lettuce and a few bits of fresh onion, portion sizes very small. That was it, had chips as a side. Hubby had a chicken biryani, came out like a loaf of slop but rice was hard, no poppadom either and he ordered it,was still charged on the bill which we questioned, got that taken off the bill 😳,sorry not good and it’s not cheap either, Went home hungry. Won’t return .
