The staff are always friendly and service is good. We enjoy the food here each time we go. It has an extensive menu with a wide range of combinations so there should be no problem for anyone who appreciates a good curry. So good we recommend the restaurant to friends and family. We will be eating here again.

I ordered food for delivery this evening. It was just okay - for the price. The chicken tikka madras was really quite sweet which I didn’t enjoy at all. The rice was also inconsistent in texture - quite a few hard lumps. The cheese naan, though, was lovely.

Our party of six were warmly welcomed, and selected meals from the extensive menu. All the meals were tasty and well-presented, as were the desserts; staff were friendly and efficient. We have visited this venue in the past; standards are consistently high, and it is highly recommended. Street parking is available in front of the restaurant,

Was a bit quiet as mid week but the food was superb. You can take your own booze which makes it a lot cheaper.

Great selection of dishes for meat eaters but lacking for veggies. Portion sizes are just about right and are full of flavour and texture. Pricing is competitive. We ate in and seemed to take second place to home delivery orders.

Great service as usual, from the guys! My food was amazing however we had a miscommunication with an order for my wife however once I made a call (Take Away) they asked about the problem, understood my issue and kindly dealt with it very quickly. I always say, rate a business on how they respond to a problem as well as their product. Thanks and definitely recommend.

I like to eat early, it's an age thing, so restaurant was quiet. The service was good and just attentive enough. The food was delicious, and the twin dish option worked well.

We haven't been for a while due to our busy lives but met friends there recently. Husband had mixed Balti, which he always has and he said it was great. I had a vege Dhansak. The sauce was lovely but it was a bit lacking in vegetables and consisted of lots of potatoes and cabbage. I think I managed to find about 3 peas. A bit disappointed as it used to have peas, mushrooms, sweetcorn, cauliflower, green beans, spinach or a mix of these or other vege things as well, obviously depending what they had. Rice, Nans and poppadoms were great. Just need to improve on the vegetable content please! I left the potatoes and some of the cabbage, so really it was just sauce!! I recently had tge same curry rlsewand ut was bursting with vegetables. Service was good. It's still a really nice place. We will try again soon.

Fantastic place to go for a night out with friends or family. All staff are very welcoming and accommodating. My 7 year-old always asks to go there for the curries and to see Mohammad who is fun and great with all customers. We have never had a bad meal in or take away from there.

I'm being generous with a one star ... It wasn't busy,just a small party on a table and us 3...it took some time to be served a drink, which we had to call someone for.drinks arrived quickly,all served to the one edge of the table..my coke was warm and flat Took a while for someone to come and take our order of poppadoms and pickles.came quickly. Then had to go find someone to give them our main order. It came maybe 10 minutes later which was ok. My Biriani was sooo dry and the veg gravy was tasteless. The fish was dry in the curry and the lamb shank was tough... One of us ordered a pudding...which we had to go and find someone once again to order.it arrived in a minute as they were as they were already under a cake dome on the bar. All in all,a rough night! I can't see where or why they have won food awards? But thinking on it,they win the worst service and food in our opinion.such a shame.

Was served by a delightfully pleasant young lady. Nina makes an effort every time to engage in conversation, show a genuine interest and offer her advice on any food. The team here are fantastic and the food of course is fantastic time after time

Possibly the worst food I have ever paid money for. Pictured is what I received, next to the image of what it was advertised to be. No cream, no banana and no chocolate. The waffle tasted like a tyre. Completely soggy, rubbery and uncooked. It had barely half a strawberry on it. Delivery took an hour and a half. However they did apologise and promptly deliver a replacement, which was just as bad as the first one, and was still missing most of the toppings. I urge them to research what a waffle is before they sell any more.

Been a few times now, tried different dishes and all good but not found my "go to' dish yet. Always busy so noisy and sometimes hard to hear friend talking.

Ordered a takeaway to collect at specified time. Upon arrival, food was not ready and had to wait 30 minutes. Was told they were very busy. At home, found that naan bread was burnt with hole in middle. Rest of food was tasteless. Will never use this place again.

The team at The Island were fantastic, we were greeted by Mo and Maj and were served by Nina and AJ, they were all friendly and super polite, they made us feel extremely welcome. The service was quick and the food was incredible. The restaurant clean and tidy and overall a great atmosphere. I would 100% recommend The Island and the staff to anyone thinking of visiting.

Came for a meal with my partner to celebrate a birthday. We've had takeaway from here before but wanted to dine in. Busy atmosphere, with several large parties in attendance, but Nina and Hope were very attentive and accommodated alternations to spice level preference (mild to medium hot). The music was a little loud for us but we both have loop earplugs for such occasions so it wasn't a problem Food was hot and incredibly tasty. My request for my curry to be made spicier was perfect and my partner commented that his chicken tikka madras was spot on. We probably ordered too much food but it didn't go to waste and we will definitely be back to dine in again

Absolutely shocking! Refused to drive through a one inch deep puddle! He offered to frisbee me the box but warned me there was a milkshake involved! I declined and drove through the puddle and collected my order getting his feet wet! Then he thrusted my food through the window! Spilling my milkshake so he may as well of drop kicked it all over to me!!
