London House in Stafford

Booked a table for 2 for me and my husband and we were really disappointed with the whole experience start to finish. Firstly We sat at a table where there was curry splattered up the salt and pepper pots from a previous customer which was pretty grim. The waiter was taking our order and part way through he then started greeting a new party of people. Mid sentence part way through our order he walks over to them and starts shaking hands etc, I just found that really rude and that set the tone of a rubbish experience. One of the meals was wrong, they insisted it was correct but later came to take it away and replace it for the correct meal to which they promised would take 2 minutes- and it did but who can prepare an entire freshly cooked Indian meal in literally 2 minutes? Utter rubbish! Part way through self serving our dish he then comes over and takes the dish out of my husbands hands? That was laughable! The restaurant was full of drunk groups of men overrunning their mouths which wasn’t really the restaurants fault but the atmosphere was naff.. and the toilets were damp smelling too! The whole evening was completely substandard and we would never return!

Went last night, first time out in Eccleshall as just moved to Stone and was looking for a nice curry house. The service was excellent, very friendly too and the food was amazing and really well presented. The coconut rice was to die for, I will definitely be back :)

Just finished our take away from here. Never disappoints,hot,tasty and excellent value for money. The staff are always so friendly,that and the excellent food are the reason we keep going back.

Ordered takeout tonight from this place. The delivery was quick, and oh boy, the food was fantastic! The chicken was really tender. Even my partner, who isn't a big fan of Indian food, loved it. This is our new go-to for takeout. Great job, guys – highly recommend!

I enjoyed the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, and chicken makhani immensely – they were the most delicious Indian dishes I've ever had, and the delivery was impressively speedy too.

Booking is required because the place is popular. Food was great!

Had been looking forward to their menu for Christmas Day having never eating here before. Staff polite on arrival and we were given a glass of bubbly. The staff were very polite but the manager is quite abrupt and spoke to his staff like minions. He was quite abrupt to us. Can’t fault the food, it was presented well and delicious and plentiful. So much so that we took what was left home. However we were overcharged and when we queried the bill the manager altered the figures on the bill saying he was right. He wasn’t therefore didn’t get a tip. Which was a shame as we wanted to tip the staff. I’d go again with friends but not for Christmas Day, such a shame and left disappointed as I wanted my parents to enjoy the experience having never eaten out on Christmas Day before.

We have visited this restaurant three times over the last few weeks and have had a fantastic meal each time. Great service, lovely ambiance and delicious food. We will be back and highly recommend.

First time here as always usually go to the Crown of India in Stone and have to say the food here is truly excellent - had the spicy lamb with potatoes in a naga sauce - absolutely wonderful! Reasonable prices so will be back again…

If you want to go to an Indian restaurant solely for the quality of the food then absolutely London House is right for you. After my visit I would not hesitate to have the food as a takeaway and be my top choice. As a restaurant experience I’m not as sure. Sadly on the evening there wasn’t much atmosphere (I think most order as a takeaway). The inside of things does need a bit of work in places. However I cannot fault the food - the food is top notch

Great food , first visit and really enjoyed it

Its always busy and you can understand why. OK menu and OK food with no surprises but in my opinion it hasn’t moved on with the times in comparison to other Indian Restaurants in other towns who are now upping their game away from the standards. I admit that most people wan their Baltis, Bhunas and Tikka Masalas but times are changing and maybe LH needs to too. The specials seem to offer options but its all really with the same base sauces and slightly different ingredients. Can we have some authenticity?

Amazing. I've been lucky enough to travel the world and eat in some amazing places. But this is one of the best of not this best Indian restaurant I have been to. Attention to detail and their understanding and service was spot on. Well done all involved.

So much choice! Friendly and courteous prompt service. Advice on dishes and happy to tailor to your preferences. Nice ambience and decor. Good value for money and no problem to take away what you couldn’t manage to eat.

Honestly. One of the best curry houses I’ve visited. Ever. Fresh ingredients. Massive selection on the menu. Helpful staff. Loads of space so walking in didn’t seem to be a problem (which worried me at first). But as soon as I tasted the starters. It was clear this would be something special. To look at, the restaurant isn’t anything flash. When it comes to the decor there’s no frills, bells or whistles. Just the standard Indian food joint circa 1995. But the important part. The quality of the dishes served is what sets this place apart from the usual I’d ian Restaurant. They very clearly use all fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. . I had the Mango Chandi which was basically a mild and sweet alternative to the korma I normally have. My mum went for the prawn bhuna which she loved (and literally complains about every dish she ever makes or eats) as she is very tough ti please. The chicken and king prawn Aktabi tanya had. Tasted wonderful. It too spicey but enough to give it a good flavour.

Picked up a takeaway for two it was very disappointing both meals were poor I suspect just warmed up and the poppadoms were coated in oil we ended up throwing most of it away this is a well rated restaurant that we have used many times before but last. Night they let them selves down The restaurant was empty

The staff were amazing and catered to all our needs, really went above and beyond, considering it was a busy Saturday. The food was delicious and would definitely return. Would highly recommend.

This place had a great reputation, went in for a takeaway that was the worst I’ve ever had. No taste, just lots of ghee. Particularly revolted at the carpet that runs all through the restaurant is black with grease…will NEVER return

I came all the way from london and I was so happy with the service and food. I’m not usually a curry person but my husband is and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. The service was great and the waiter helped select a curry that is right for my picky needs. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Definitely will go back.

We love this place for a curry, however we visited on Friday evening and it was so cold in there people were moaning and wearing coats whilst eating, it wasn't comfortable at all! Food was lovely as always but we won't be returning. My 3 stars would have been 5 stars if we had been warm! We know times are hard but we need to be warm!

Visited the other day and was extremely impressed with how lovely the staff were. I am not familiar with this type of cuisine but a great waiter helped us pick the best dishes! The food was amazing, never had anything like it before and they were really quick with presenting the food to us! Definitely will be visiting again with my husband.

Visited London House after a drink at a nearby pub. Managed to get a walk in table for 2 but already busy by 7.00. Lovely atmosphere and service. Extensive menu and wine/drinks choices. Recommend sizzler dishes with sides. Consistent, reliable and perfect.

The curry was not what we ordered, chicken and rice were over cooked. We ordered cheese and garlic naan but got a plain naan.

Food arrived 20 minutes late, Poppadoms were soggy with no crisp, had a starter which was really small for the price. Curry was good, rice was good, Naan was tiny and bland. Usually very good here but the last couple of orders have been sub-par. Very expensive and not great value for money.

Stopped here for an evening meal on our way south during the first days of the fuel delivery crisis. We had a lovely meal, subtly spiced and no problem with gluten-free in my case. Hope to call here again.

A very good Indian restaurant with good service, excellent food and not too expensive. We liked it so much we went back the next night. Our dishes (all recommended) included: Prawn Puri, Tandoori Platter, Tandoori Prawns, Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Chicken with Spinach, Chicken Tikka...

Found out live music had started again in Eccleshall! So spur of the moment went on a night out. A friend recommended London House and definatly not disappointed. Totally different menu to the normal curry house, We loved it! Even something suitable for my 86year...

We visited London house after the lockdown on Monday evening we were greeted with a smile the restaurant was busy with a very nice atmosphere the food was amazing from the start to finish highly recommended .the decor was modern with nice touches definitely will visit again .

Probably the most bland and dull food I have had for years.Seems the exciting menu is quite lost in reality , truly dull food .I phoned them to explain my concern and the best that was offered was ......we shall give you a discount next time.Thanks but there will be no next time.

Amazing food with an amazing service, especially the fish pakoras, prawn biryani anf the naan bread. Everything tasted fresh. On top of that the price wasn't as much as I expected. I felt like I dined like a king and paid barely nothing. Definitely will come again! Highly recommend!

WHAT CAN I SAY loved the food, staff, atmosphere. If you were to go I would recommend the fish pakoras, prawn biryani and the butter chicken. They also followed COVID guidelines making you feel extra safe. Highly recommend.

Frequently go here as it's close to where we live. Staff are friendly and service is okay. Chicken Korma is decent but nothing spectacular.

I ordered a takeaway last night for me and my partner, the food came very fast, everything was still hot and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered jhaljhool mix for us and the prawns were amazing. I was shocked at the size of them. I highly recommend getting a takeaway from here when the prices for the portion sizes is amazing! Ordered a delivery from here on New Years Eve and was very impressed . Delivery time was exactly what was stated and food was amazing from starters to mains .Portions were more than enough . Highly recommend and will definitely use London House again .

Ordered a takeaway while on holiday and was concerned they wouldn't find us as house in middle of nowhere but they did and we were so glad they did as the food was amazing. It was package very well and arrived hot. The food was fresh and very well cooked. Everyone said best they had had. Will definatly use again if in the area.

The service and quality of food is what keeps me coming back. Location is perfect as it is situated in the middle of the high street. Never been let down in terms of food satisfaction and can only recommend this place to others. 5 starts always!

Dined with our friends who are locals. Nicely laid out restaurant, very comfortable. Service was efficient & friendly. Altogether very relaxed. The menu was extensive & my wife & I were able to try two new main courses which we'd never had before. Very very nice ! Washed down with Cobra, whilst the girls were on white wine, our bill was a little "top heavy" but only because we had over-indulged ! Will go again when next in Eccleshall.

We missed our anniversary the previous weekend. We decided to order a large order from London house to celebrate , the gents were really accommodating and really looked after us. They made our weekend :) The food was absolutely amazing , especially when it was a last minute decision and such a large order. We asked for the food to be ready to take away at 10pm and it was ready to go at 10 ! And food is so tasty and just lovely !! Thanks to all at London house

We have had takeaways from London house all throughout lockdown , delivered to our doors. With contactless delivery. The guys are all very helpful and friendly. Jist visited london house for the second time and i can honestly say this is the best indian restaurant ive been to. The food is great, service is excellent and ambience is very nice and relaxing. Very busy for a tuesday night but still service was fast and excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant and i will definitely be visiting again.

Just visited here on a Saturday night and I have got to say the service was spot on! Really lovely staff and was personally welcomed by the owner Mo. The whole team was absolutely fantastic! The food here is to die for and they are an awards winning restaurant which we just found out as we came. I came with a large group tonight and we were accompanied with great service even though it was busy. I think this is our new spot for Indian food. Check them out, you won’t regret it! Awarded best Indian in Staffordshire for a reason!

Food was given on time, well heated and was very tasty. Would definitely visit again. Probably the best indian food I’ve eaten in a while. My family also loved it. Desserts were good for the kids. The waiters were very friendly and food was at reasonable prices.
