Absolutely hands down the worst dinner we have ordered. Only ordered here as it was the only place open. The curry and rice was so wet, I had to use kitchen towel to soak up the puddle on my plate. Tikka was salty and inedible, I don't often leave my dinner but left most of it, as did my family. Not sure if this usual at this place but will never order from here again to find out. Absolutely disgusting please do not try here...

I would say the fish would need to be fried in the fish masala not boiled to give it more of a flavour and you can’t taste the fish as it’s boiled but the rest is very nice thank you

Recently introduced to this wonderful restaurant by a family member and I'm so glad they did. We have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and wow, this stunning menu offers so much choice for everyone. The food is gorgeous, full of flavour, great portion sizing too and rather than stay with our usual choices, we are enjoying trying new items. Cannot recommend enough, lovely delivery teams too. Thank you Village Indiya, look forward to eating with you again soon.

Food taste like perfume or some sort of detergent. Especially the tikka and mint sauce. Couldn’t eat.

Really not enjoyable at all. The poppadoms were greasy, the meat in the bhuna was very tough. The naan was undercooked and the bombay potatoes hard. Complete waste of money it all went in the bin.

Food wasn’t very nice. Poor quality, very oily tasting.

The food was good. However I was disappointed with Packaging. When the food arrived it was in a paper bag which was in a plastic bag. There were oil spills in the paper bag from the food containers and the paper bag was destroyed from the bottom (I didn't know this) so when I pulled out the paper bag containing the food, all the food fell on the ground because the bag couldn't hold the weight anymore. I am not sure who's fault this is, but packaging needs to be better, use plastic container instead of foil for curries.

The food from Village Indiya is ALWAYS hot and delicious, which is why they are my favourite Indian restaurant/takeaway.

This was tasteless and boring…..We had this same meal a month ago and it was nice, waisted £20!!

Tikka masala was runny no flavour never again

Food was cold even though the delivery was on time. Disappointed that it wasn’t that tasty compared to other Indians I have eaten even though I ordered what I normally order. Was a real shame. Won’t be ordering again. Narn looked like it had been re heated several times, so dry and tasteless and cold!

Food is great, but the korma was leaking all in the bag so I recommend not stuffing it all into one bag as the weight imploded the curry at the bottom 😞

Food was delicious. There were a couple of things missing, however when I rang the restaurant they already had someone on the way with the missing onion bhajis and bottle of Coke. Can’t fault the service. Will order again. Thanks.

The Resteraunt messed up the delivery and didn’t provide correction. They offered a refund which I agree to. How do I get a refund?

Fabulous food delivered piping hot, huge chunks of chicken great flavour I order from here very regularly and never had a bad experience

First time order Friday night 7.38pm, food arrived 9.20pm. Called the restaurant was advised issue with drivers. Spoilt the evening as didn’t want to eat that late. The food was average. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Lovely food only disappointment was 2 tiny meat samosas for £4.25 for this price surely 4 should be included not 2 little ones other than that was nice grub

Little disappointed lately tasting a little bland.

This was our first time ordering from Village Indiya and we were not disappointed. Everything we ordered was delicious. The onion bhaji's were the best we have ever had, packed full of onions. All 3 curries, kurma, masala and pasanda were full of flavour and the coconut rice, again the best we have ever had, it actually tasted of coconut, many don't. The only slight issue, delivery was late, only by 20 minutes and it was a Friday evening, however, everything arrived hot. We will definitely be back and would recommend, many thanks :o)

Original order was missing items. Had to wait another 45 mins for those items even though was told it had been sent after 10 mins. Rest of meal cold and ruined by this stage.

Food piping hot delivery driver very polite

Food was delivered in 20 minutes, piping hot, very tasty set menu which was also great value for two people especially with the Tuesday discount. Only let down was the onion bhajis which were a little on the bland side, but crispy and in generous sized portion. Nothing a bit of dhansak sauce couldn’t compensate for. Aside from that I would order again based on my experience this time.

Poppadoms and mango chutney - great. Meat samosas - lovely. Mushroom bhaji - super. Chicken korma - utter filth. Let down the whole meal. Chicken had been cooked to buggery, hard and dry and tasteless. Left most of it.

Ordered from Village India and was given a fairly long delivery time, not too concerned as it was Friday night. When the time was up, the meal had not arrived, so I phoned the shop. The person on the phone apologised and said it would be with me within 5 minutes. Was a bit sceptical, but it did actually arrive in 5 minutes. Really glad it did, as the meal was delicious. Samosas and poppadoms are fairly good, but we're not as hot or crisp as they have been before. The actual curries and rice were incredible. I have been using village India for many years, and every now and then they change chefs, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. The food tonight was one of the best I have had from them. Ordered a chicken balti, and it was incredible. Lots of good sized chicken, onions and tomatoes and a delicious thick , rich and tasty sauce. Likewise the Bengal rice was really well cooked. Tasted the wife's Chicken Rogan and it was also very very good, really quite spicy, but absolutely delicious. Glad to see that Village India are back serving exceptional food.

Ordered a standard Chicken Tikka Masala, which came like their chicken Korma, mild, and it was coloured red (as it is). But here's the thing, the sauce had a ton of coconut and appeared to be based on coconut milk. Now call me a Philistine, as a CTM is a constructed western dish, but it should be built around a tomato based sauce, which it clearly wasn't. My son ate just the meat in the end as he is not a fan of coconut.

10/10 Best takeaway I’ve had from an Indian

The food is usually really good which is why we return however on this occasion the pasanda sauce was tasteless. Hopefully just a one off!

My food tasted really funny, almost like it had slightly gone off, both the coconut flavour in the naan and the kurma tasted gone off, I couldn’t eat it and I’ve wasted it all

Food was average. The meat tasted cheap and the sauce was edible but nothing great. The naan was stale and cold by the time it arrived. I’ve had food from here before and never had an issue. Sadly won’t be ordering from here again.

Everything I ordered was so bland. Butter chicken and Bombay aloo were tasteless. Disappointed!

We are vegetarian and it’s so nice to find vegetarian dishes that actually taste of something and also that don’t all taste the same! The food from Village Indiya is cooked to perfection and not swimming in grease. We highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely be ordering from them again.

tikka massala was bright pink , chicken had a rank taste to it .. mediocre food

The chicken tikka wasn’t cooked properly

Normally I order a chicken tikka masala and it’s amazing from this place but today I changed it up to a korma however I’m gonna be totally honest it was terrible it tasted like water and I’ve had microwaveable kormas from Aldi’s better than tonight’s korma. I think If your order anything do the masala

Food came early which was very welcome as we were all hungry. All hot and tasted delicious. Perfect heat in the Jalfrezi, lovely crunchy onion bhaji and generous amounts of chicken. We will order again.

Was delivered to the wrong address. Restaurant quickly resent out after I called but I feel for this late some compensation should be given.

Nice food. Really good portion size.

Food extremely tasty, hot although was a small bit delayed. That aside, it was a busy evening and the portion sizes were very generous and oreder was enjoyed by all our group.
