The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

The Paprika Club was recommended to us. This was spot on. First class India food at reasonable prices. The service is awesome as well. A great team. We’ll be back.

the quality of food of this place has dropped significantly. Also they charge you for extra sambar and they don't give sambar with methu vara. This is totally of at a south Indian restaurant. Sambar is totally complimentary with all south Indian dishes. Sambar is the most important aspect of a south Indian food. They are extremely miser with this and I can't call this place a true Indian hospitality anymore. It's a shame because it use to be good a long time back but now it is really bad.

Food was great but was half an hour late

This restaurant's curry is stand out good. However, beware of the Lamb Biriyani. I ordered 2 and although the dish comes with a side sauce, the rice contained only a small smattering of lamb (approx 3 small pieces). Because this is primarily a lamb dish you would expect more meat in a dish that costs nearly £12. I discussed this matter with the proprietor but he felt the portion was fair considering there is sauce and rice included in this dish. If you consider how much chicken/lamb you get with the Turkish dishes in in Charminster restaurants (lots) - for £10 - which also include salad and rice, it seems quite mean. Bit disappointing really.

Very nice food hot and fresh nice atmosphere food brought out by the chef himself very well presented. We never booked either just walked in well worth a visit if in the area very nice Indian cuisine 😎

Terrific food and great staff. A little pricey but well worth it.

One of the best curries I have had in a long time! I'll absolutely be coming back very soon. I always have a madras, and the one I got from here was the perfect amount of spice, it was smooth and very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the potato in the bombay aloo. The service was fast and they were very welcoming and friendly. Very reasonable too!

Qué restaurante encantador con un propietario muy amable que se enorgulleció mucho de su comida y me llevó a través del menú. Opté por el curry nilgiri de cordero que era absolutamente increíble, cocinado lentamente y lleno de sabores. Nunca he probado el cordero antes, súper tierno y volveré para esto!

Lovely food, Amazing staff very welcoming and friendly

Superb meal. My first visit here. Everything tasted really good. I honestly can't think of anywhere which serves better food. Even the Cobra lager tasted especially good (draft).

Just don’t bother. Awful curry! Lovely service don’t get me wrong, but omg the curry is below mid, small portions and you can get so much better 5 minutes away. Don’t go just cause it’s got a water bubble thing on the wall, the place is style over substance.

If I had a choice to give no review I literally would give this a 0. The food had no taste. Spent £50 on kabuli pilau large which only 3 pieces of small meat pieces and big nan with chairs tikke which tasted so bad. Could only taste the fat. I am a person who eats meat with bit of fat but this was really bad…nearly threw up. Even told the staff that food was not nice at all and they didn’t even say anything so paid £50.

Nice curry and naans as big as a pizza

After a friends get together we later discovered that they put a service charge to our meal of £25 which we found unexceptable especially when we always leave a tip so due to the underhanded way of the services we're added without our knowledge we will no longer be using their restaurant again
