Zara,s Indian Restaurant in Rotherham

We ordered takeout, we collected and it was terrible. Watery no taste and cold. When we were collecting a family eating in was complaining about the food too.

After some extensive research and looking at loads of menus me and some friends decided to try this place. They were previously in crookes and moved to mexborough. It was in a nice location with a very nice and cozy restaurant. The service was good and so was the food. I had a lamb dish which the lamb was tender and had a paneer pakora starter. Its worth a visit

Watery tasteless stingy portions. £22. Merry Christmas more tomatoes than lamb. Tikka masala sugary and boring

The food was delicious and cooked fresh! Plenty of choice from the menu and staff easily allowed us to bring it home when we had finished in the restaurant but couldn’t manage the whole dish! The staff are friendly and welcoming!

Visited this restaurant after hearing good reviews, ordered our starter but then did not receive the mains for a further 1.5 hours. Whilst u like a gap in between courses I feel this was excessive. At one stage I thought they had forgot but after looking around other tables were the same. I did notice a number of deliveries going out so not sure if the kitchen was concentrating on them. That being said the food was nice when it arrived ut was just unfortunate we had gone past it. The Staff were also friendly, would probably go again and give them a second chance and hope this experience was just a one off. Given 4 stars based on the food.

First time at Zara and will definitely be back. Really good food and the staff are attentive. All four of us were pleased with the menu and the quality. Plenty of parking spaces.

The food was fantastic! Very tasty and a wide range of choice! We didn’t manage to finish all we ordered and staff asked if we wanted to take anything home we initially asked for the potatoes but they asked if we wanted w anything else like it was no trouble for us to do that! The tikka was delicious and plenty in a portion!

An excellent experience from walking through the door, very attentive staff, perfect service and some of the best Indian food we've ever tasted this was our first visit but it will now become a regular haunt.

we ordered takeaway at 6.15pm - told it would be delivered by by 7.30pm its now 8.30- still no food - DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS RUBBISH DELIVERY SERVICE .

Visited with friends last night and we will be definitely visiting again. The food was amazing, staff lovely and friendly and overall a fantastic hidden gem. We will be dining and ordering from there again. Highly recommend

I recently visited Zara's with my wife and friends, we were all looking forward to eating here based on the good reviews. We were left disappointed by both the food and the service. We arrived a few minutes before our booking time, we were acknowledged when we walked in, but we're just left to stand around for 15 mins...no explanations, no offers of drinks etc. When we were finally shown to our table we were given menus and forgotten about again, dispute asking to order at least twice! When the food came it was terrible.... Little or no spicing or seasoning, some of the dishes tasted watery like they had been frozen and reheated in a microwave? We have eaten lots of Indian food across the country and world... This was one of the worst!

Visited yesterday had a lovely evening, sat in the bar area and enjoyed a bottle of wine then got took to our table, food was delicious and service was outstanding, lovely people will definitely be visiting on a regular basis.

We visited Zaras on a Sunday evening as a party of 18 friends for a 40th birthday. We were a mixed group with children too and had a fabulous evening. The staff were great especially our main waiter who patiently looked after us all evening, nothing was too much trouble. It's difficult serving a large party like us and hard to hear when everyone is talking at once but our waiter was very patient and even joined in the fun with us as we're having a great time. The menu choice was extensive and all the food was delicious we will definitely return again!
