First visit and we found the Jilani to offer excellent food and service in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We didn’t book , last minute we decided to visit having been a few times before the recent closure. We were immediately greeted by Azi (the manager) who was very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent my only complaint would be the cost of popadums and the accompanying chutney , we ordered four plus the chutney which was just under £8 , for me that is way too expensive. Starters and main courses were very reasonably priced , maybe they could rethink the prices for popadums .

We were in Sudbury on a Monday night, so not many restaurants open. We went to Jilani’s and had a great meal, excellent service , would really recommend it.Spotlessly clean n

This was our second visit. Lovely restaurant, the staff are great. The food was delicious. Our starters particularly were superb, the best King prawn puree I have eaten for a very long time. My partner had the shish kebab which he said was outstanding. The mains were very tasty too. Service very good indeed, we will definitely return and will recommend.

Amazing! Lamb tawa was perfect - mild yet rich with flavour, and a thick sauce that wasn’t swimming in oil - and tender meat without any fatty bits. Onion rice was tasty - could maybe have had the onion browned a little more but that’s only a minor criticism. Veg samosas for starters were so fresh - punchy hot with chilli and clearly made on the premises. Naan was lovely, as were the poppadoms & mint sauce. Will go back without hesitation.

Went to the restaurant with a large party of 13. Having been before I was expecting perfect food. However the food wasn’t great. Which is a shame. Because I won’t eat there again. Also thought the standard of hygiene has gone. The sauces and onion salad for popadoms seem to be stored in the corridor between the toilets and the restaurant. Which is diabolical.

What an amazing experience. The best Indian food( and we have sampled many) and attentive service in beautiful surroundings. Sadly we are not local to Sudbury so cannot visit as often as we would like. Strongly recommend.

Visited this restaurant last night after hearing great things about it. We were definitely not disappointed. The food was amazing, freshest most tender chicken and lamb I've every had in an Indian restaurant. My starter of Mixed kebabs were delicious. My main of Chicken Jalfrezi equally good. Naan and rice equally good. My wife also loved her meal. A brilliant addition to the Sudbury restaurant scene.

Absolutely awful! Waited 2 hours and no food. Walked out and got a kebab from next door. Avoid at all costs. Another couple had same experience

Had a fantastic meal at Jilanhi. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit +++++

My first visit. They have an extensive menu with many temptations. I had a takeaway with a biryani and dhansak plus sundries and found the food to be very tasty. I’ll certainly go back for a meal in the restaurant

Well what a wonderful dinner we had on our 1st visit to Jilani. The food was so beautifully cooked & presented with the most fantastic flair wow. The food service & whole ambiance was just wonderful we will be back.

Booked a table on the spur of the moment, we were not disappointed, the food was exceptional, menu was varied, with things I had not seen before on others, and very reasonably priced, staff were friendly, courteous and attentive but not overly so, the refurbishment is tasteful, comfortable and no flock wallpaper in sight. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible . Very enjoyable evening # new favourite place to eat -x-

Family of 8 of a mixture in age group. None of us could fault the food, the flavours were amazing. Even for father in law who does not like hot and spicy he really enjoyed it. Junaid was very helpful, smiling and always checking in on us. Highly recommend and will most definitely be going back.

We had a large family gathering of 23 at our home and Jilani did a fantastic job delivering food plus plates and cutlery to our home for the event. The food was extremely fresh and of excellent quality and quantity. We asked for no added artificial colouring to our tandoori dishes and minimal oily food and they were very good at tailoring to our request. Delivery was efficient and they came to pick up all the dirty plates and cutlery. Nasir was very good at communication throughout the planning process. I wouldn’t hesitate in using this service again. Thank you

Jilani catered for a family event. The food was delicious, and really impressed our Bengali relatives - a tough ask! Nasir delivered to our house, communication prior to the event was fantastic, and he even provided plates and cutlery. The portions were generous, we managed to pack everyone off with some food and have just polished off the leftovers ourselves. We will definitely use them again!

Absolutely by far the very best indian we have EVER had! We booked to eat last Friday at 6.30pm and were greeted warmly by superb waiters who were charming and welcoming and made our evening perfectly relaxed - thank you x we enjoyed a chicken Tawa (sensational) and the most delicious king prawn massala (the hugest prawns and exquisite sauce) sides of rice and saag aloo were delicious too and whilst we were staying in sudbury thus evening we would definitely make a special trip just for dinner and we live 45 minutes away. Our first and won't be the last visit to this beautiful restaurant venue. Fine dining in an opulent and modern setting where no expense has been spared in creating a comfortable and up market dining experience. The food was of a high standard to match the surroundings, along with service that could not have been better. Recommended. Brian and Maggie.

We went here for my friend’s birthday dinner and had the best Indian food we’ve ever tasted it was exquisite! The service was fantastic all the waiters were so attentive and polite. We will definitely be coming back again.

Waited 2 hours. Left without eating. Friday night. It was busy but we had to ask after 45 mins to actually order food. After two hours we left without eating. No food turned up. They said our table was next and they served others before us. Wouldn’t visit again and won’t recommend to anyone.

An excellent dining experience. The food was exceptional and the staff were very professional and very accommodating. Unlike many Indian restaurants even the toilet facilities was clean to a high standard. Certainly worth a visit.

Me and my husband went here for a date night, it was amazing! The food was the best we’ve ever tasted, the service was brilliant and the restaurant is so beautiful. The prices are really good too. We will definitely be going back.
